Well done Bengineer. Hell of a task getting all that to work.
Your not kidding there, but it's been a good challenge
Dengineer and trucker Tim keep up the good work could I have a shout out on the next video
Agreed. He’s a very clever boy👏👏
Well done Bengineer. that's one hell of a task getting all that working and driving
Thanks, it's Been fun getting to this stage
@@Bengineer. you absolute legend. Tim doesn't know how luck he is to have you.. keep up the good work.. loving the content
@lenmanning6625 that's a bold statement (legend) but I try my best
Congrats Tim, what an achievement! Can’t believe my eyes that the Volvo FHV8 can run/drive! Well done to all the gang. Congrats mate
Well done ben on getting the volvo up and running but does anyone else just want to see the 4 series finished
Hats off to Ben, that’s some doing, getting all that working together
Absolutely loved seeing you at Malvern, first people of the day to grab a photo with you, genuine nice guy like you see in the videos :)
I agree
Thanks so much , was great to meet everyone 👍
What an acheivement, well done Ben and Tim. What an awesome job. Cant wait to see it fully finished
Hi Tim matey and Ben matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍.. nice to see Ben has sorted Scania V8 engine in the Volvo and it's very first little tiny drive but at least it's working and moving. Definitely get everything else sorted out properly please and Ben is amazing for what he is doing you Tim and get the Volvo V8 as a driving and road worthy truck so you can use it for the road and a show truck aswell and get it painted. Great TH-cam video and i cannot wait for the next Volvo V8 TH-cam video..... Keep up the great work Ben 👍👍👍👍 and you Tim thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍
Grind 'em 'till you find 'em. Well done, that is one massive undertaking you've given yourselves there. Awesome to hear the griffin roar.
She certainly does sound sweet!
Massive well done to Ben for al the hard work gone in to this Legend!!
Is that a legend or a leg-end 😆
10:57 THAT TURBO 😫
She sounds awesome
@@Bengineer. she does truly
Oh the sound of that turbo!!! Absolutely awesome!! Well it drove out of the garage under its own steam, got to be its first run!! What an achievement 😊👍👏
Well done guys looks and sounds awesome. Tim hope there is going to be an appreciation video to bengineer for the awesome work and for having to make all the last minute changes you keep throwing at him. Love the videos keep it up guys.
Now that is exciting. I have to say you two make a good team. You are a good man for starting projects Tim and Benny is a good man for seeing them through.
Why not put your build videos on the life of tim channel then you will get more content onto it 🤔
Sounds like an idea to me
Yes cuz i’m not interested in builds (but am hauling/show video’s)
15:13 - Amused to see that throttle pedal is the same as the brake pedal in my Volvo 960! :D
Well done bengineer and tim this is coming along nicely she starts on the key and moves steering maybe abit heavy can't wait for the finished project
28:26 Hey Tim, I thought you liked smoke! 😂
Perfect mr bean clip on the "haircut" had me howlin
Love these types of vids Tim. Can’t wait for Fridays vid
Bengineer works so hard. Massive respect!
👍
Great progress well done bengineer 👍👍 can't wait see her fly
Videos with ben are by far your best content
Well done for getting it built so far, only time before you have it finished. I have to ask, when Tim says WE have built it, i wonder how much he has actually done compared to Ben🤔. Financing it isn't the same as actually figuring it all out and physically fitting parts.
We all play apart in bringing these projects to live...without each other they wouldn't happen and at times Timbo can be hands on 👍
I noticed Tim got a fright trying to pick up the clutch pressure plate, so I just wondered how hands-on he got. I would love to have seen Tim struggle with fitting a flywheel knowing how heavy they are😂😂😂
@ciderant well...I don't let him get that's hands on of course.....or I would be out the job
Bengineer is a bloody legend
Excellent progress tim and ben
Thanks
Tim is a top trucker real graffter 90 hours a week pays off ,muck sweat and gfaft .
That has been a hell of a job but ben you have done it . A number of adjustments and add a few more bits on and it will be quite an achievement ben cant keep a good engineer down
Props to Bengineer, well done brother, I can't hardly wait to see it do a proper drive
Ahh yes, a 30 minute long video. Thanks Tim and Ben for blessing us with this content ❤
Great achievement, gents !!! Great progress. 👏👏👏
Wow Tim what an ace truck you & Ben are building. I bet it been head stretching at times but just look how far it come. Can’t wait for you or Ben to take it for the first spin. 😂
Cant wait to be able to take it to shows! Great to see you again at the weekend 👍
Well done, Tim and Ben
Thanks
Well done Bengineer. Try bleeding the clutch from the gearbox and push clutch fluid up to the reservoir. You'll find it bleeds up easier. I've done it before with little oil can and rubber hose adaptor.
We like the long video Tim! We need a bengineer channel!
👀
Well done Ben you got there in the end with a bit of supervision 😂
😆😆 Good job I was supervised
Well done lads it up and running now time to get it finished
Full steam ahead as always!
Bengineer is a GENIUS!
That's a very bold statement, but I will except it 😂😅
In the end of the video you were wondering where Matthew Jackson went ........ he suddenly disappear .......... and I thought the same.
Suddenly he was not around anymore :-) Anyway, he is not often at the garage, huh ??
I hope you can fulfil a run at the test ground of that airport soon.
The Volvo starts looking like a teal Racetruck, with the engine further back. (but now days they are not like these anymore.
I've seen all trucks from 1980 on when they start with truck racing. But in 2010 I had to stop because of financial probs.
Where the old engine was can be made into an under floor boot for merch storage!
17:46 Bens laugh about passing a DVSA inspection!
Ben is right about the R series! lol
“Just gonna give her a little snatch” 😂😂😂😂
Most fly by wire throttle pedals have dual wiring circuits you get some thing like 1-20 on one side and 20-1 on others so one sides going up others going down that way you don't get engine going wide at pedal inputs if one side fails.
Cleetus we need a big turbo hell yeah brother
Tim’s genuine excitement is infectious
Great job @Bengineer!
👍 thanks
How insanely cool! Bengineer what a legend!
Great achievement now all it needs is stacks with flames and in Tim's colours
That xan be called volvo and scania unholy marriage. 😆😅
Sutton 1/4 mile 🤣 the power station strip ill listen out for you drive
That brings back memories 😂
Darn it, first time I'm late to a video! Guess I'll eat it during BREAKFEST! haha... Keep it up, looking good so far Tim!
This is seriously impressive stuff! Hats off to Bengineer
Thanks....its definitely a project that has its ups and downs but we are getting there now!!
The V8 looks like it would fit the chassis rails under the FH cab
I remember when that flooring in the unit was new 👀
Dirty floor...means progress 😂😂
@@Bengineer. still be spotless if Tim was on his own 😂
@@LarneyJ it sure would, so a bit of dirt on the floor is a good sacrifice to make to see the projects moving forward
@@Bengineer. 100% this is going to be quite the build 👍
Coming on well chaps ,well done Ben Tim
Being back the POV shots when driving
Bring
Bengineer working wonders 😃
Be good to extend the cab over the engine and make it an xl🤩
I reckon give Ben a camera, let him get some clips on here and there, if he wants to.
Hopefully he gets into it and could even get a following and his own channel
bengineer for the win on this one
Great acheavment getting the vo8vo moving with the working peddles , looking 4 ward to seeing it liveried up in your fleet line 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
I respect the hustle of the FHV8 build, I have a bit of mechanical know how not as much as Ben the engineer. But I was watching and thought the truck was running a bit rich considering the smoke she was chucking out and also I’ll put this to you why not have a hydraulic clutch system which is normally on a Eaton fuller. Also to figure out gear ratio its gear ratio = teeth in driven gear. Same principle I guess as a motorcycle where is you change the sprocket size/number of teeth it changes ratio so you either end up with fast acceleration and low top speed or vice versa. If it helps I would love a shout out and hopefully a visit to the unit 😁
I'm not a mechanic myself so might be wrong but is Ben an magician? It seems like the project moved forward soooo much in this video.
Wow well done to Ben for getting the lorry driving He is an asset to you Well done keep up the good work
Cheers Martin!
Another great video tim, that would probably be alot of fun going sideways drifting but I'd definitely put stacks on this possibly some eminox stacks if you can afford and find some. But I'd love to see this driving properly. And it would look good on the trailer behind either of your trucks or behind the 4 series where the engine came from.
bleeding clutch on older volvos, 4ltr oil container put a couple of ltrs of brake fluid in it fasten 24 volt f10 or f12, 24 volt windscreen washer pump to container , incorparate push button between battery and pump, inlet hose into container outlet hose to clutch servo and crack bleed nippel and bleed system backwards sending fluid up into resavoir bottle its the only way, must be 24 volt volvo pump more push than 12 volt
Good Video Tim! Cannot wait to see the Scania 4 Series in the future, ready for Ciney 2024.
Ciney truckshow was three weeks ago…
Think it would have been easier to have put a Volvo Cab on a Scania chassis!! Step one remove everything from said Scania cab.... step two remove everything from Volvo cab.... step three put everything that came out of the Scania into the Volvo cab. All electrics are from the Scania but hidden behind a Volvo dash and cab. Still you obviously love a huge challenge Tim amd Ben!!! 😂😂
Where's the fun in taking the easy option 😂😂
Imagine having Bengineer on your team 🤯.
What an absolute weapon in the most respectful way Ben . Tim you need to be careful he doesn’t get tapped up because the man is worth his weight in gold . …..
……and then some . Did someone say
Bengineer
Mechanical Genius as a TH-cam channel ? X
I’d hope Tim’s going to treat BEN to a free weeks all paid for holiday abroad for all he’s done for you Tim ! Poor lad looks knackerd lol
100% did drive under own steam! Good job lads!
Amazing work ben
Thanks 👍
my favourite part 25:44
Love the video's Tim keep up the good work 😊
TiM I mean ben you did a thing 😅👍👍
Tim, you need to let Bengineer record some in depth videos up on the 2nd channel of the work he's doing. As great as it is having an update every few weeks, you're really missing on an untapped market here by not videoing this stuff. You have 3 projects on the go, and I don't think the progress update videos are enough.
There's so much Ben's done to the VF8, it's a shame that it's not been documented for all to see considering how unique it is. I would totally watch a 20 minute video of him doing nothing but tracing an air leak, as he's a natural in front of the camera. Anyone who thinks they would find that sort of content boring can stick to the main channel, but I would deffo subscribe to that sort of content and it wouldn't mess with the main channel audience. Gutted there wasn't a build video for the simulator, as that would have been really good to see happen - it needed it's own episode really.
You only have to look at Mat Armstrong to see how much people enjoy the spannering and no one really does it with these big lorries... as I said, untapped market. It does need rebranding from "Life of Tim" (which sounds too general) to something like "TT Builds" to show what the channel is about.
Ben seriously needs a bigger workshop done all that work with no room. Good effort
Just look at the state of that workshop 😮 Tbh it will be amazing if you do end up getting it all working/driving MOT'ed with no problems at all 😮😂😂
Love the comments about Easy Start 😂 People think engines can get addicted to it hilarious 🤣
Wow that's cool and sound amazing
Good job Ben 👍
all credit ben you doing a fab job
Hardly a world shattering achievement seeing as they are the same company.
Well done 👍
He definitely needs a rise but 5 well done to u both x
6:50 i was like nope this aint going to plan XD, jeeez mate id be running for that plate for 3 seconds erlier
Hi trucker tim and Ben thank you for another fantastic episode as always keep them up 👍
It It's a proud moment for Ben-gin-ear 👌love it guys
Imagine you are driving this Volvo V8 to a Truckfest
Fair play guys that’s some achievement
I really like what tim is doing whit the volvos bit i woud love to see the 4 series projcet going on
Thank you trucker Tim and Ben another brilliant video 👍
Well done Tim not bad at all
That's a good job getting it going. Well done bengineer
Thanks, it's been a mission but we are getting there with it now.
Well done to Ben that's gonna be a beast when done 👍👍
Excited for the next episode already! Wanna see it drive

Well done lads 😊😊
Tim sort your Ford sticker out next to the stairs. Been like that for weeks haha
9:50 Febi probably make the bits for those Scania pedals originally!!!
