Andrew, I considered buying it 3 years ago, and I felt bad at the time that I didn't buy it. It has too much work to be done on it.
I just bought a more expensive one in better shape. I am glad you bought it instead of me. It is the perfect car for a guy your age.

The same one? I bought it in middle Tennessee, sold it around two years ago. It really just needed the front brakes to be gone through and basic maintenance, it was fun but a pain to get parts for, and next two ton car I get will need power brakes

Hi Andrew, we were an AMC family and my dad had a white '67 like yours, though it was a 550. We drove from CA to VA and back in the summer of '75 - will never forget that trip. A few years earlier, on the road to Vegas when there was no speed limit, we did 90 mph at my request and the car shook like a drunk with the DTs. Dad finally sold it in '76 when reverse gear failed, but that was after at least 130,000 miles and he wasn't big on maintenance like changing trans fluid. Please keep up the videos!

Well thank you, I sold her unfortunately I’d really like to snag another amc maybe a 70s one. Glad to her some people out there remembering the fun they had with them, it was a great car but the front suspension needing to be redone and I just didn’t have the time when I sold it. Hope you’re able to get you one that brings back memories!

Hey, nice rebel. In an episode of finnegans garage with the green hornet. He was saying that red engines mean that the car was sold in California.

had a used one in gray prime many years ago. it was roomy, comfortable, engine ran super quiet and it was reliable. had an oil leak and bad breaks, but only cuz i was too poor to get it fixed. totalled it in a mild front-ender. damn i miss that car!

I wonder what the guy who bought the car and drove it to Birmingham did with it ? I wonder if he restored it ?

I don’t know, I know he found a fender for it which was impressive I couldn’t find one after a year of looking

@@AussieAJK Aw man that sucks!.. I hated to let go of her too.. I owned that very same car in 2010/11. We named her Ethel. Put a lot of love into her and got her back to being a daily again. I had that straight six purring so smooth man, you couldn't even see it moving while idling. Where is she now?

Ah that’s awesome, what happened to it? I believe the gentleman I sold it to lives just north of Birmingham Al, he drove it 3 hours home and said it did it just fine but a few days later the alternator went out but I think it’s still on the road, guy even let me know he got a new fender for it. Crazy I looked and couldn’t find one

@@AussieAJK I'm proud of the ol girl for making it that far! I wanted to road trip it so bad! Lol.. Just a big ol smooth riding 4 door like that is the LIFE! I'm glad to hear she's got a new loving home, sounds like that fella will treat her right and give her the attention she requires lol, she can be a bit needy at times 😆 I'm glad you got to meet and care for her if only for a little bit. Oh and if y'all need/want to know the history on her, I know as far back as 1998. If the new owner would like to know for future reference. 👍
