- Well, we did it again. We got groceries cheaper than my last haul.
We haven’t been grocery shopping and almost 3 weeks so when we headed to the grocery store, I knew it was gonna be a lot because we had no fruits or vegetables. My kids were complaining there was nothing in the fridge , even my husband was asking me to please go to the grocery store and stock fridge up.
I honestly still didn’t want to go to the grocery store. It’s been nice not having to go to town so much. But when my son calls my husband and asked me to please ask mom to go to the grocery store. I know it’s time. 😂
The grocery haul ended up only being $223 a week for our entire family.

@@Justthebells10 thanks for making my day at a time when my day is really tough right now I suffer with the most excruciating pain over 85% of my body and nothing helps me. Today I had to think minute by minute so I don’t end up taking any of my medication all at once. When I look at your. Videos for one brief moment, give me a smile on my face. At least the smile doesn’t cost me grade excruciating pain.

I love how you don't over-shop... You can see exactly what you have so nothing goes to waste. I have gotten a lot better in that department... Also, if you've not tried Target's 'Good & Gather' carbonated, flavored water... Try some - I recently started picking them up (although I love my mango bubly) and the ginger peach and strawberry mango are both delicious.
Good call showing your fridge before your haul, some people assume you go shopping for content, but it really makes you realise just how much food such a big family goes through 😅❤

What a wonderful mother that works so hard for her family! Yes, there are days we feel as though we cannot take another step. It is okay to stop and take a rest. Yes I too was raised on a farm with no time for rest, but I was a kid. At an early age I took my children shopping as they grew older, I taught them more as they understood the concept. When our oldest learned to drive and had his license, I would send him to the grocery store to shop for us....no phones at that time. Did he make mistakes of course, but it gave us a chance to try off brands ect ....haha. With that said, if the oldest child wants something they should either let you know or ask if you need help. I'm sure they understand the concept. Have a good day.

When my son was 2 years old, while visiting family in Japan, he dropped a $65/usd watermelon and the workers promptly cleaned up the mess. Luckily, we didn't have to pay for it, but that memory just flashed when Hailey tossed that cantaloupe and you had mentioned you'd still have to pay for it if she dropped it.

Awesome job! Have you ever considered shopping once a month? Just picking up milk, creamer and fresh vegetables bi weekly? It’s helped me out by stretching out and using my pantry food.

Heather....doesn't seem like enough food for 10 for even one week? Is everything there for your full week's meal plan (I didn't see your plan)? My guess is it would be double that amount for 10 adults....for how long? I'm all for a budget, but how do you do it?
Hello i dont think it is 10 people for 3 meals per day. Hayley and some of the boys live out of home. so unsure how many are in the house. they are a close family and do eat meals together but i don’t think it is every meal. on the other hand she does make treats for her church youth group weekly, so i dont know! also they have chickens as well. maybe there could be a video on how meals work. 🙂🙂

People stay positive and stop comparing other families with them. Everyone is different and the kids ages are all different as well which determines what they buy.
Always get your bags of salads from the back. And I smell cantaloupe’s for fresh
Roberts like my sister. Can buy her own stuff but doesn’t always. If we’re already buying butter, she would prefer to just take a bunch when she visits. As in takes an entire Costco pack every 3 months

One thing i eat as a sf dessert is pumpkin puree..cool whip ..about 8 oz of heavy cream beaten to make fluffy whipped cream..1 block of cream cheese mixed in..2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon..1/2 cup of powdered sugar substitute ..fold pumpkin puree into beaten cream..its delicious as a mouse/pudding..or bake as a pie. No one would miss the sugar. ❤
P.S. don't forget to subtract the drinks & the watermelon you bought !

She can't because she used to over buy just like everyone else 9r more she had an entire part of her fridge only for chocolate chips 😂 since she criticized some other youtube families for their diets and their budgets now she speaks about budget and healthy food. I don't mean to hate at all but it really complicates herself because now you can see in the meals she make that she absolutely has to make extra smaller runs to get groceries, that table don't feed 10 adults foe 3 weeks but even if it does, she shares her recipes and the snack boards she creates lately and huge food displays no way with that food.
The Mezzerta or however it’s spelled makes really good pizza sauce too. I do what you do and add jar mix to my spaghetti sauce to thicken. One day all I had on hand was their pizza sauce and it made delicious spaghetti sauce.
Sargento mozzarella is our favorite. It just melts better.

Grocery shopping might be done easier for you if you just give the task to one of the children or just order on line. Almost all the people I know MEN and women do. Perhaps a task you might just assign to Luke. It's super easy and you are so So SO busy. Luke might be better at it than either of you would imagine possible.

I spend $1,266 ever six months on groceries for my family of seven. I was going groceries shopping ever 3 month. Me and my husband talk about doing ever six months for groceries shopping. We go back to the grocery store for paper towels and toilet paper and shampoo and conditioner and paper plates and trash bags and freezer bags and foil pans.we grow our only fresh fruit and vegetables and make only laundry detergent and dishes soap and bath soap.anf I make our pasta and pizza crust and breads and baked good and pie crust all homemade. I am a Mennonite and my husband is Amish.

Could be the design at the store. I do the same I go for dairy because when I walk in I start in the front and work my way back ending up by the registers.
