Knorkator has a very special kind of humor, very tongue in cheek. Their lyrics are quiteabsurd and sometimes nihilistic. Combined with the singers technical abilities and techno-metal instrumentals it is indeed a very spicy combination. I really don't think Knorkator are pissing a lot of people off (and if so, not on purpose). This song in particular I find it really hard for any reasonable person to not get how the main charachter of the song (and his extremely outdated views) is being ridiculed here. He can't take care of himself or even do the most simple tasks (like closing the door) and needs a woman to do so. Basically he wants to live in "Hotel Mama" for ever. I don't see how people would get pissed off about that - unless they maybe identify with that character, which is really hard since he is so exaggerated.
The problem with this particular song is that it plays with rhymes, knorr-ka-tor like to play on words, and often you can't really translate it because otherwise it obviously doesn't make sense anymore
I just have a thesis, a thought. If you just listen to the song without the video, do you also automatically think of the role model of the evil man who just takes advantage of the woman? I interpret it in two directions. Once (with video) in the direction mentioned here and without video that the woman "raised" the man to be incompetent. As a boy, mom did everything and later his wife. He has never had to do anything around the house and is now overwhelmed by the situation of being alone. Maybe this is just a crazy thought on my part. I always think in several directions and try to imagine myself on both sides. And before any questions arise - I am a woman 😬
