There's a ton of great sewing youtubers out there, but your channel is by far the best. You're so easy to understand and you make the process so relaxing.
Some awesome techniques explained in this - I needed to know how to line a garment and French seam for my next project and you explained both beautifully 🤍
you have a button hole setting on your machine. its the 1 2 3 setting on the dial which denotes each button side and on the stitch length is the rectangle setting. the skirt looks great!!
i have a question does the 4 inch seam allowance take into account that its a french seam? or should i add more seam allowance if i want to do french seams?
I just made a skirt after following this tutorial and it turned out so nice!! Would love to make another one but this time with pockets, just need to figure out the pockets part 😭
That shouldn't be a problem at all. Just will need to make sure you have the right needle and machine settings so that it doesn't become annoying - as stretch fabric can be a bit frustrating especially when sewing a zipper!
My only issue with this tutorial is that the way waistband band had raw edge exposed. So instead I sandwiched the raw edge in between the two sides of the waistband. I didn’t follow the instructions to sew the waistband and turn right side out. But otherwise I was super happy with the outcome

Yay! So glad I could help uncover these techniques for you :)
You can also make two skirts then put one inside the other (wrong sides together) and stitch them at the waist.
Skirt looks great especially with the orange shirt.

The 4 inches was taking into account the french seam procedure :)

Patch pockets.
Not sure if you've already got something but Rosery Apparel just did a skirt w pockets. I'm planning to merge the 2 tutorials haha
I don’t think pockets would be too hard to add at all! It would probably be a lot easier to do pockets using regular seams instead of the French seams
where do you buy your materials?
i don’t know where she got them but i’m sure you can find them at ur local craft store like micheals or joanns or online on amazon
Can I use stretchy fabric for this tutorial?

Hello,
loved the video, please make some biker shorts.
Is the zipper supposed to be a centered zipper or lapped zipper? The way you pinned it in the video is a little confusing.
Yes!!

I want to like to have friends that are girls that girls to wear that skirt and dress outfit
This is interlining not lining.
