Exactly you can only care your head or part your heaf with waves...with locs(high top locs)you can fade get designs on the sides and back and style your locs on top in braids or a pony tail or bun or pineapple etx....
That’s not bad especially if you have high top I have 33 sometimes it depends on the thickness of the dreadlock. You have thin dreadlocks you get more locks if your get thicker locks are thick you might get less locks.
What you said about temple hair info was key. I didnt know that until now and it explains so much those ones are so stubborn for me. I ended up interlocking them and they still came out. They're on their way now tho.
bro you getting dreads again!! but dats good because you have a chance to start over..... but aye ima tell you dis make sure your DREADS LOOKING CRISPY
Just started my dread locs 5 days ago. I washed them for the first time today due to my scalp itching and already flaking even tho I've been oiling my scalp. I have a crazy amount of loose hairs. This is going to be a very long interesting journey because im soo impatient. Tips on someone thats new with dreadlocks would be lovely.
Lovely Bree don’t do anything crazy to them and be patient. I was impatient in my first 2-4 months and kept trying to mess with them to get my dreads to look a certain way. Just be patient and oil your scalp once every 3-4 days to prevent buildup(I had a ton of build up by my 3rd month) make sure you wear a cap or something to cover your hair when you wash them in the beginning because washing your hair once every two weeks is also apart of the process. Don’t listen to any stylist that says “you don’t need to wash your hair until it locks up” this is also why I had crazy buildup because I didn’t wash my hair for like 2 and a half months. Last but not least just enjoy the process I’m seven months in and I like the way my locs look and can’t wait till I hit my one year mark.
@@rpt2369 Thank you so much for replying, ive watched so many videos and everyone saids different stuff. Ive noticed when i oil my scalp that's when my two strand twist start to unravel on the top i think because its a loser curl pattern then the back. I have to wash my hair at least once every week or week in a half my scalp gets too itchy by that time. Also when i started them at first i tried to do very neat parts and it didnt work out due to mr doing it myself. I was impatient to have someone else at work do it for me (im a cosmetologist). I hope not having neat partings and its just random wont affect how strong itll be at the root.
I tried a 2 strand twist hairstyle but the hair wouldn’t stay so I had to use a hair band but that’s kinda a waste and looks dumb. I am 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 black I have hair type 2b and they were pretty thin twists. Why won’t it stay?
I can tell you missed your dreads gunther
Who tf said he had seven 😂😂😂
Was bout to comment this exact thing😂😂😂
🤣
I got so excited when Gunther post man, keep up the hard work man💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.
Hey @Gunther before your hair locks up I highly advise you to split them if you want more dreads.
I started my dreads the same way as Gunther did on wednesday and they are looking great
U got pictures?
In growing my hair right now gonna join the lock journey eventually I got tired of waves
Mann u cant really do anything creative with waves besides get a part or sum

u prolly got tired of them cause ur waves wasnt elite😖
Mi Vida Brazy But they were what type of ignorant bs is that like you can’t get tired of the same hairstyle
@@Olonzo same my waves were elite and I got tired of them you can try changing your pattern but that's takes alot of work
I'm new to my journey, took me a minute but I have 76 starters so far, gonna do a retwist in a month. Thanks for the vids
*Hair is lookin wild, I mess with it* 🤟🏽

How does counting your dreads take 10 minutes?
you know the answer to that lol
I was correct also...honest to God 🙋🏾♀️ 22 was the first number to come to my mind
They look better than before. I might grow mines back. The last time I had them I didn’t get a line up but when they got longer they looked better.
What you said about temple hair info was key. I didnt know that until now and it explains so much those ones are so stubborn for me. I ended up interlocking them and they still came out. They're on their way now tho.
I love watchin these videos I don’t plan on getting dreads but Gunther gives off this very chill vibe I can stop watchin
2 years in and I haven’t count my dreads yet🤦🏾♂️
Same here.
I counted and then forgot the number 🤦🏾♀️.. somewhere around 90 or more.
I hope your dreads look as sick as they did on your first set. You one of the TH-camrs that inspired me to start my dreads
Will you be keeping your free form set of dreads?
Great progress man continue the great work bro❤️💯
Would my hair loc up if it's in boxbraids and I never take em out
Yes, my cousin did it this way and he has awesome locs. I just started the interlocking method yesterday. Have fun with your loc journey
bro you getting dreads again!! but dats good because you have a chance to start over..... but aye ima tell you dis make sure your DREADS LOOKING CRISPY
i started my dread journey august 8 under your inspiration
You should freeform out of this!

Good video bro I started my dreads about 3 weeks ago and so far so good👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼...did the twisting with gel method.
Give the dreads a rest Gunther you’ve had them for 3+ years and now it’s time to start a new beginning
Definitely aren’t the same as they was at first but gr8 progress.
#GREATFAM!!! 300K on the way!!!

Do it with braids
Damn. 10 minutes to count dreads 🤔
What, u would rather a boring video when he straight up counts his dreads and then turns off the camera?
Michael_Anthony 33 - yes.
@@michael_anthony3393 it would've been funny.
I no
Do I need a durag if I'm freeforming my dreadlocks?
Anyone else watching with no socks on ???😂😂😂
Kevin Jackson lmao
Gunther inpiring me to start doing dread videos im 10 months into my journey almost fully locked too probably got another 4 months
I just started my Dread Journey today so I will upload tomorrow
Legend says If u comment fast enough u can get 100 in a day
TrendingTre guess the legend isn’t true 😂😂😭
@@shawnandrews9059Ong I thought I was slick wit it
This man could lie, he counted them on video when he first put in the starter locks and he said he had twenty two then smh 😒.
Do a all had dreadlocks please
He look like the mango and lime logo
is it bad if you inner lock your hair ?? cause that’s how i started and it lock up faster.. but i got rid of them
Jc3xmm no
Drippy_Josh so is it good or not
Jc3xmm it’s ok but I don’t like it because if u mess up u have to kind of backcomb with natural hair to make it look normal
When you wet your hair do the locs straighten out?
Yeah they do
Why aren’t you using a crochet needle?
How long are u thinking about keeping them
My hair was like that. Go on channel and look at my dreadlock journey
Do a video on lil Teccas dreads on greatlocs channel
Blazes World he got twist not locs
You have like six dreads
ian so cool lmaooo
I'm guessing 20
10 on left and 10 on right
all this time i was wondering why my temple hair was lighter than the rest lol...gunther spittin that knowledge!
When ever I twist my hair myself I have 16 twists
I used to do that when bored in lecture lol but when I used the sponge, I ended up with a bunch of them.
I’ve had my dreads for 5 months and still haven’t counted them
Those look like curllocks
Man.. take those out and just use the sponge the free form will look way better that way. But what you have right now ain’t it chief..
Damn I am getting nostalgic
I guessed 22. Guess if u had dreads before u good at guessing. I started with 50 ended with 103 8 years later. Combed mine out
I think you really should take them out and redo the sections because there isn't enough and when they mature they're gonna be too thick
I have around the same length of yours right but I have 69 dreads
Juice Guy From Icarly 69 don’t got dreads
Nice
nice
Does that bother you that you have two more on one side? I have major OCD lmao 😂 That would bug me soo much so I wouldnt even count them
I’m not first
I’m not last but
I sure clicked
...
Fast 💨
