    I had left over Chinese sausage from fried rice and wasn't sure what to do with it until I found this recipe. The spring rolls were delicious!

    Hey RunAwayRice :-) I tried to buy Chinese sausage at stores but they didn't have any :-/ when I tried to order them online they were extremely expensive. up to € 50,-!! Do you know what kind of sausage available in Europe would make a good substitution ? :-)

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Queen Alicia Florrick Wow, that is really expensive! Try a Hunter's sausage because it's semi-dried and you can cook it the same way as the Chinese sausage. If all else fails, I think mild kielbasa would be a good substitute too. Good Luck!

    Miam ! (Yum in French) :) But I still don't understand what is "jicama" !... And what is the brand of your rice paper ? I never saw sheets so transparent ! :)

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Merci! Jicama is a root vegetable that is like a potato but crispy like an apple and mild tasting. It adds a lovely texture to the rolls.I am using the Flying Horse brand rice paper. Hope that helps :)

    is jicama turnip?

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jicama is not a turnip. It's a root vegetable and is like a cross between a potato and an apple...very delicious!

    • @jessiejames7492
      @jessiejames7492 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      in my country we call it chinese turnip. the malays call it bangkwang. it IS delicious. eating cooked or raw. we make our rojak also with it or asian salad..

    dry shrimp is very salty! Why put salt after toast it? Then everything add salt after stir fry. It looks like very salty rolls! Yuck!!!!

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can omit the additional salt if you don't like it. Not all dry shrimp is salty. It varies by brand. Good Luck!

    • @Misaki852
      @Misaki852 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      mthdeolc40 Not all dry shrimps are salty! The ones that I buy aren't salty at all! I even use it to cook soups.
