    Prophet (ﷺ) said, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. (Sahih al-Bukhari 5590)
    Before making fun of Islam and consensus of Majority of the scholars, I repeat scholars, not laymen deriving conclusions they like, please think at least once. The scholars of all four schools of thought declared music haraam. Now if you're still in doubt then know that the famous scholar Imam Ibn Qayyim (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
    "Love of music and the love of the Quran cannot coexist in the same heart. One displaces the other."

    • @K_Shahzad
      @K_Shahzad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they answered to this specific hadith in their talk. And for the quote of love of music and love of Quran, isn't rhyming and poetry music? All Qirat of Quran is in rhyming and many ayahs are in the peom form. Can you refute that music and musical instruments were used in the time of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and he didn't object to it (except the reference which is discussed in this debate)?

    • @muhammaddanish5317
      @muhammaddanish5317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@K_Shahzad Calling Quran a mere poetry was what the mushrikeen always did. Allah replies them in Surah Yasin:
      "We have not taught him poetry, nor is it fitting for him. This ˹Book˺ is only a Reminder and a clear Quran" (36:69).
      As far as the prohibition of musical instruments is concerned, I've already given you the evidence from the most authentic book after the Holy Quran which is being misinterpreted by a minority. You won't see musical instruments being played around Haram or in Masjid - e - Nabwi or in any Masjid around the world at all and for a good reason. If you consider just one man or few men as justifying musical instruments (that are considered Haraam by a considerable number of scholars) right, then I'm afraid your knowledge about Islam would be seriously restricted and biased. I'll sincerely advise you to take opinion of some other scholars too rather than just sticking to one. They aren't as irrational as you might think. Every prophecy of our Prophet PBUH has turned out to be true. No surprise, this too is turning out to be true.

    • @K_Shahzad

      @@muhammaddanish5317 you misunderstood my reasoning. Quran (of at least parts of it) is indeed in poetry form. Poetry is a part of Fine Arts. Poetry is also the basis of music, if poetry is not haram, how can music be haram in itself? Unless it is used in a wrong way which is prohibited. Tell me, isn't recitation a form of music? to a non-muslim layman it will be.

    • @muhammaddanish5317
      @muhammaddanish5317 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@K_Shahzad Music is produced by Musical instruments. I've always used the word "Musical Instruments" and you know what I mean by music when I mention musical instruments. Quran must be recited in a beautiful and melodious voice. Voice that Allah (SWT) blessed us with. Not with musical instruments like flute or piano being played in the background. There's a difference. The word ma‘aazif (musical instruments) is the name used in the above Hadith and it covers flutes, drums etc. You might argue with the fact that Beatboxing and Acapella are also produced without musical instruments. For that, consider this from Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) who said: Islam does not differentiate between things that are similar at all, and it does not regard as equal things that are different. It does not forbid one thing because of its harmful effects then permit another thing that is equally harmful, or permit one thing because it serves a useful purpose and forbid another thing that could serve an equal purpose.
      He also said:
      "When the Shaytaan despaired of devoted worshippers ever listening to haram sounds such as flutes and drums, he looked at what results from these instruments, then he tried to make singing (without musical accompaniment) produce the same effect, and he made it attractive to those who lack understanding and have little knowledge. His aim is to mislead people step-by-step. But the one who has knowledge would look at what things may lead to and their likely results; he would look at the ultimate purpose behind things."
      I hope you get my point and may Allah (SWT) guide us both to the right path.

    • @K_Shahzad
      @K_Shahzad 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@muhammaddanish5317 thank you brother. If I understood correctly, it is saying that shaytaan made singing voice similar to musical instruments and not the other way around??? I am sure that humans have been using their voice long long before invention of any musical instrument.
      Why are we trying to make it more complicated that it is. Fact is, music/singing is not prohibited in Quran. People have come up with these ideologies much later. If anything, it is the use or rather misuse of music and singing which is and should be prohibited.
      If it was truly prohibited, 99.99% of Muslims are living in hypocrisy.

    Many of the facts were not discussed completely in the podcast. There are several perspectives about if music is haram/halal. A wise person cannot change his perspective by just listening to someone's perspective about a topic. Different perspectives + Quran and Hadees combined can alter the conscience and beliefs of people.
    This issue definitely needs attention for the welfare of youth!

My query is that is such session videos are available in English language. Ghamdi Sab’s Urdu language is very powerful but unfortunately most of the words don’t make sense to me because my lack of knowledge about the authentic Urdu hence it’s had to make sense of the subject. I would love to share these videos with my children as they have such questions. I’d like to have a solid command on the concept and questions raised by young mind before I open up a discussion with them. Hope I make sense

    I understood the point but our younger generation and some of adults dont know their limits...
    Especially in Pakistan when there are events like mehndi people are woke up till 4 am doing RAQS and listening to MOSEEQUI and I want to ask how many of them go and pray their Isha and Fajr? Next day barat everyone found excuses to neglect their prayer I dont know a single person doing everything to reach to masjid or even pray at home ...
    When children and the young lot they say Sonu Nigam is my "idol" and Sonu Nigam is the one who is disturbed by Adhan.... I never heard a single one saying Dawood AS is the man that we like to follow as far as the vocals are concerned !
    They further say our Idol is Shahrukh khan who is Shahrukh Khan a man that couldn't talk once about the muslims and other minorities being tortured and being murdered in India...
    Its ok there are limits even certain exceptions but the issue of dispute is not even its allowed or not ... the issue is what are the benefits of listening to music or dancing...regarding the society in which we live in....I live in Europe I know here our professor's don't suggest students to listen to music they rather tell you go and do a summer job or an internship that is how you can help yourself in your career... They say dont take every morning your car to come the university rather take transportation why because trains are ponctuel and you learn time management...
    I know Hamza bhai you aim to bring the religion to the society so is mine... but you can't give the sword to that person who even dont know how to use it.. what he or she is limited to... Im sad but its real

      It is not fard to listen to music. If it deviate someone from doing its prime task like studying or praying namaz, then do not listen to it. But then there are some people who study better while listening to some calm music. Its personal choice. But as a rule, its not haram in Islam.

    • @aarfeenanees9147
      @aarfeenanees9147 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Zayn-op3pe That's incomplete information. Majority scholar have said music is haram and their are sahih Hadiths which support this. We should try to adhere to opinion accepted by majority of scholars.
      On the other hand, there is only one single Sahih Hadith narrated by Abdullah Ibn Jafar bin Abu Talib R. A that says music is permissible but that is overpowered by many other Hadiths that are Sahih and prohibit music. The four great imams do not accept music as permissible to and only Al-Ghazali permitted it, but he defined many conditions for what music is permissible. One of those conditions is that musical instruments iconic of evil people is Impermissible to listen to and hence even if you follow Al ghazali's minority accepted opinion, you cannot listen to modern music.
      It's better to be safe than sorry and so one should avoid it.

When Abu Bakr RadiAllahu Anhu heard that Daff he called it the instrument of the shaitan but he was told that since IT IS EID, the girls should be left alone. Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari:
    that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."
