Oh my gosh! You have such a talent for digging out the best places for picking! I was mesmerized! Couldn’t believe the amount of mid century treasure sitting outside in the elements. Could have brought good money in consignment.
I love to shop in resale, antique and consignment shops. I consigned most of my furniture and decor when I retired and moved back to Texas. It sold quickly and for really great prices which made paying the consignor 50 percent tolerable. I have been looking for local consignor and they all seem to charge 50 percent. They hold 3 months and if it doesn’t sale you can either pick it up or they will donate it. Each month it is there there a price reduction as well. The ones I visit have so much inventory turn over so that means that most stuff sells in the first 30 days.

That hobnail piece looks like Fenton Topaz Opalescent. Shining a black light on it should produce a lime green glow from the uranium in the glass. It is worth learning about collectable glassware. I once bought a bowl for $50 I was sure was a rare color. Checked my books when I got home and verified it was what I thought. Sold it a week later for close to $600.
The first sale was nothing short of astounding, sooo much good stuff! I went broke pretending to buy it all... the 2nd sale was also full of astounding stuff but after a couple minutes I had to fast-forward... I was almost in tears! I absolutely abhor it when people have 'cool old things' and then just leave them out in the elements to rot. Yes many can be restored but preserving the original finish is so much better!

For a antique French Country theme for your home. Or you can hang the flowers from the same nails you use to hold the frame to the wall. Just will have to make (the flowers) longer so that they are not to close to the frame. 🥰😍 you find the most beautiful items.

That 1st sale had ridiculous deals!!! I would've bought that Beverly Wiltshire Hotel headboard as soon as I walked in! The prices were super low! I can't believe that 2nd sale had all those MCM pieces just out in the elements. Some of those pieces are worth thousands when refurbished & maybe even as is. The MCM sale is a gold mine!!!!
I spotted the Hall teapots at the second sale. I used to have a huge collection of those but I decided to sell them back in the 90's. They fetched a pretty penny and I used that to buy more great stuff!! I was into furniture then, Victorian and the more decorative and over sized the better!!

The two bowls at 14:09 look like uranium glass, the only way to tell is if you shine a black light on it and it glows, They look very pretty. I always carry a black light with me when thrifting/ going to yard sales just in case. They sell for a good price so if you can get them for cheap it's a steal.

I spotted the Hall teapots at the second sale. I used to have a huge collection of those but I decided to sell them back in the 90's. They fetched a pretty penny and I used that to buy more great stuff!! I was into furniture then, Victorian and the more decorative and over sized the better!!

The two bowls at 14:09 look like uranium glass, the only way to tell is if you shine a black light on it and it glows, They look very pretty. I always carry a black light with me when thrifting/ going to yard sales just in case. They sell for a good price so if you can get them for cheap it's a steal.

@@LazyDIY-THRIFT I want to have a little thrift shop/collectibles when this virus goes away...I had to close my 48 year old music store because of Covid...husband just passed away from cancer so now I need something new to do soon to stay busy & throw off the grief......have lots of old things in my house anyway..always had an interest in antiques & experience with vintage musical instruments...hope I can pursue it..loved that hall tree & the old coat rack...I'll keep watching & learning...

So many wonderful things! I love your videos! My mother made a formal dress out of the stage curtains from St. Mary's Academy in Indiana when the school closed. The dress was a beautiful dark blue & she looked wonderful in it!

On that yard sales were you got the stage curtain,OMG, It was like a world market, I would of gotten all of the rugs and the textiles
