I love that you put an emphasis on not needing to practice every day. When I left my fundamentalist religion and began practicing witchcraft, it took a long time to reprogram the idea that not doing something every day (or the "right" way, or at the "right" time) made me a bad person or lazy practitioner. Removing that feeling of guilt from my practice is still a work in progress, but I'm finding so much more joy in it as a result.

i never even realized how religion instilled that mindset into us. i always feel terrible for not doing something every day.

This was the exact right time for me to hear this. Because of the recent loss of my beloved cat, my little soul mate, I've been having a lot of lazy days. The first few days, I didn't set any expectations for myself; I only made space for crying, and allowing myself to wallow in the grief. Then I spent a week compiling a photo book and setting up a memorial. Now, I'm still tired, but I'm feeling that's it's time to start figuring out how to do normal life again. It was helpful to be reminded of these small steps I can take. Thank you. 💜

I love to just read on lazy days. There’s always something you can learn that connects to your practice - herbalism, magic, tarot, gardening...and I have collected so many books I never run out of reading material.

A tea bath is something I've honestly never thought of, but will definitely be trying! I'm usually more of a shower person, but a fragrant tea bath just sounds too nice to pass up; life has currently been feeling like a little too much recently, so this video couldn't have been better timed. Thank you so much for your wonderful, helpful knowledge and relaxing presence; it brings a lot of peace and comfort for many of us in these trying times 💙

I sometimes use bath teas in the shower too. I've sewed a drawstring pouch out of a soft washcloth and I use it filled with oatmeal/ herbs/ epsom salts/ massage oil blends. My fave has been oatmeal, basil, wild mint, and dried orange peel. So nice for the skin and it smells lovely!🥰

For me, a few minutes barefooted outside, looking at the moon, the sun, the stars or clouds is golden. Just a few moments to connect to the earth and focus on whatever the sky has to bring. 🌙

Another very simple thing I like to do is to greet the sun in the morning and set an intention/ ask for protection or guidance or whatever you feel you need on your lazy day.
When it's a particularly sad lazy day, it's also nice to just spill out your troubles to the sun, either by talking to him directly or writing it down.
But really, it is already nice to just say hello to the sun and the moon in the evening too. It always gives me a warm feeling of being seen and protected.

    Things I do…
Light a small bundle of rosemary in the middle of my home in a metal bowl. Open all the windows in the flat and let all the smoke push out the energy I no longer need in here. After I light a temple incense as my home is my temple (
    Cheesy I know😅 )
I have lots of teas and infused honey ( very simple honey+ herb+time = yum) I sometimes make a pot full of tea, have a cup of it (different cups for different moods/ feelings) and pour the rest into my bath (over a civ… picking tiny bits of chamomile from the bath no more!!) drink the tea while in the bath. I don’t actually do this myself but my mum has a tiny foot spa… yeah you see where I’m going with this … tea!!
I have written lists of why I feel down or stressed and then burnt the lists. More the visual of being done with that is helpful to me.
I find putting on my shoes helps. Dunno if witchcraft or not but I get a spark of energy / motivation.
Rotating my plants just on the sill making sure they have enough light.
I do keep a lot of crystals in my room but sometimes I empty them into my altar in my living room and dump them in a pot of salt. It can be hard to tell if I’m overwhelmed or drained some days so clearing all the energy back to zero helps.
Honestly sleep. Having a day where you just say out loud “ I am exhausted now and I will sleep but when I wake I will feel different” that one works a charm for me!
I hope this gave people some tips and or ideas

For me one of the best lazy though nourishing practices is lighting up candles) It is very fast, though you can choose a color and set an intention so it does feel like a little ritual. And then watching candle burning and smelling the wax melting is inspiring and creates sanctuary atmosphere. It is absolutely great for me to fall asleep under a changing light of small candle. Makes me feel protected.

Bath time is the best time! The only time I, as a mother of a two year old, get a few minutes to center myself, focus intentions, banish stress, practice-my-practice, pray & petition without interruption. Epsom salts mixed with various herbs and essential oils are my go to! Love a bit of incense or a candle burning too.

I find sometimes practicing every day isn't practical. On those days I try to keep magic in my thoughts. The cup of tea is an amazing way to slow things down and refocus. I like to light a candle and ring my wooden bell for gratitude. I have a turtle Beanie Baby that I use as a good fortune horcrux. I borrowed that from the Harry Potter movies, but instead of the dark intent of those objects, Oogway, is a container for positive energy. He draws good fortune to my home. I smile when I see him in his bowl and get reminded every day how fortunate I am. Helps offset my depression some.

A lazy day practice for me is to pull a card from a favorite oracle deck and meditate or journal on the messages I've received.
Another good one is taking a bath or even a shower and then doing a whole body oiling afterwards. Feels so luxurious. (St. John's Wort is my favorite, as well as chamomile & lavender, or hops.)
Watering houseplants or doing some light tending in my small urban herb garden.
Reading up on plant profiles, mythology, or seasonal practices.

I'm watching this belatedly, but I had a lazy day today and did some of this without even noticing! Another favorite of mine, though it can fall into "craft," is add a few chosen herbs to relax or soothe the day into a meal, even if all I've got the energy for is canned soup. Need a little boost of clarity? Add some dried rosemary from the cupboard, and let it simmer in for a few.

Hi! Thanks for these. I simmer caledula flowers and lavendar (all dried) in a large pot on the stove after boiling, for about 20 minutes, then strain through a mesh strainer into another pot. Then I pour the resulting tea into the bathtub to be relaxing and help with psoriasis treatment (this is for my husband as I am not a bath type person and he is). He loves it.

Ya know I keep getting the feeling if I don't practice every single day, & especially when their is lunar activity. I feel like a bad witch, who missed out on an opportunity to make an impact on my life.

When I have my morning tea or bath at night, I like to write down 5-10 things I’m grateful for. It’s super quick and helps those good vibes flowing, even if ur it was a terrible day. Another one that might seem silly is to put on one of my really good pieces of jewelry for for the day and still dress in cozy clothes. Lastly, I love using a spray mist I’ve made right b4 bed on my linens to ensure a peaceful sleep.

Love your videos just starting my journey as my intuitiveness is borderline psychic and my mother and her mother had gifts. I spent $200 on books yesterday😅.
I love green witchcraft also fae magic but mostly natural, super interested in folk lore, crystals, candles, green/earth craft. I’m an Aquarius have always loved the beach lived near it for a while but lately the last year I feel as though nature is calling me to spend time with her, going hiking, going to the ocean.
I’m in Sydney Australia so lucky to have plenty of beautiful national parks and beaches close by.
I just feel a strong urge to be in nature a lot.
Also I see Angel numbers multiple times for a while a day sometimes more than 7, mostly 111,1111,444,333,222

I wonder what some alternatives to drinking tea or using tea in a bath would be. My stomach has begun to protest against me drinking tea (even the ones I usually drink, or new ones I want to try). I also don't have a tub, so a tea bath isn't an option. I guess I'll just have to experiment with different practices and figure out something that will work for me.

I hope you’ve been feeling better, but some other options could be making the tea and smelling the steam, a simmer pot (they can be added to a cleansing spray or added to your compost, garden, or plant pots), or use herbs in shower melts. My siblings don’t like baths so I’m planning to make some herbal shower melts for them. I’ve never done it before, so I’m just going to google a recipe and hope for the best 😅

Could you perhaps make a video on how you make those syrups? :0
(If you don't already have it planned that is XD)
You always inspire me to practice more and try out new things! It's often times hard for me to get the time and energy together to do much of everything but whenever I watch a video of yours I immediately want to drop what I'm doing and go forage for some wild herbs to craft things with

Hey Annabel, I hope you are recovering and feeling well. I had practiced my first smudging today and I was surprised at what an emotional and physical response I had to it. I actually hadn't completed it yet before I has such a visceral response. I suppose what I am trying to figure out is whether that's normal. I can't help but wonder if I even did it correctly, I researched how to do it properly to avoid issues but I'm still unsure. I would love any input from anybody who is willing, I am a new witch and happy to learn something new. I hope everyone has been experiencing a beautiful and inspiring Autumn. 🍁🍂🍁🍂

I have benn struggling to find time and effort to do some witchcraft lately because we are moving house soon and im super unhappy about that, and I’ve had so, so much high school stuff to do. In the end, I realised that, as you said, stepping back is a good idea. This video really helped me because it gave me an idea of little things to do to keep my stress down and let me get back into witchcraft! By the way, i said im moving house, and i just wanted to ask you what i should do when i move. I feel like the land still needs me here, and my parents are pulling me away from all the peaceful forest spirits and the woods. I know you’ve moved house a lot, so any tips?

Hi, what is pinecone syrup? What is it used for? This is a joke but still wanna know does it taste like pinsol? Lol I’ve never heard of it so I was just curious. I’ll be googling of course! The tea baths sound wonderful I want to do that. All of these things are great ideas. I think doing some reading with some tea would be relaxing and just doing things that don’t take forever to do.
