Oh, yes, the bell curve 19:52 I think that shows how this game is actually pretty balanced. I'm almost level 40 and loving every part of it. It's like you said, when we are talking endgame, shieldpack + railgun + 500kg (with upgraded hangar) are basically a must have. The other spot usually the Orbital Laser or Rail or Cluster and that's it, but that's the price of playing diff 7+. That's why I enjoy playing and helping lower level missions, like diff 3 to 5, that we can actually try some different stuff, for example I love bringing the HMG turret and mount it, or bringing 4 sentries, etc. On a side note: The disposable rocket was a GOAT while leveling up and dealing with Chargers, since you have two of them you can just shoot 1 and expose the leg and use your primary to kill it, and grab the other rocket without needing to reload and deal with the other charger, it really helped dealing with the couple of chargers during diff 4 and 5 while being low level and not having Railguns. But on the high diff, there are so many Chargers at the same time that is unthinkable to not use the Railgun to deal with them.
absolutely and I think the disconnect here happens because most people arent playing on High difficulties, a lot of the comments will say that they are3-6 and thats fine nothing wrong with that people should play the way they want
It was like that in helldivers 1 as well. Theres a certain point where the fun/goofy stratgems just couldn't cut a lvl 12 dive. Sure some 'could' manage. But most of the population sat in 5-10 difficulty
With a lil over 100 hours I disagree. Those aren’t mandatory at all lol. Use what you want, that’s what I do. And I have great success on Helldive. It’s all about player skill, if you rely on things then you just suck

Is it just me though or does it feel like sometimes the 500KG is an absolute monster and the damage matches the visual... Or it feels like a precision strike and somehow doesn't deal damage next to things next to it.
Heard the same from users on the HD Discord. Seems to be something off with its hit box, or hit box detection. I used it on a couple missions and was left underwhelmed.
Not "bugged, the aoe damage is line of sight to the bomb landing location. If you drop it in a hole... Or behind a big rock... The damage is blocked by the terrain
I think you mixed up sentrys, gatling is literally a straight upgrade from machine gun. Once you unlock gatling theres no reason to use the machine gun sentry unless you're stacking them in solo play at lower levels.
Clusterbomb is an enemy actor. I've been killed by this more than any enemy or any other strategem. You should have to take a class and get a license to use it.
Really. It is one of the safest for me. It drops on a straight line left ot right , and you can drop it pretty close if you are familiar with its strike path
@@RukiHyena the skill issue is the idiot throwing it at point blank range or clipping you with one of the ends (bc it has very long coverage). this issue is almost nonexistent at higher levels, due to skill 🙂
Arc Thrower is often slept on. Railgun will put armored targets down faster but the arc thrower has versatility which allows you to deal damage and kill every enemy type. You can partially charge follow up shots to rapid fire and take down things such as chargers and hulks quickly as well as take down titans if you find your stratagems on cooldown if you keep poking it with the lightning. It makes most swarms of enemies a joke. The infinite ammo also means you can pretty much main the gun and run around with a shield pack.
the thing is, on helldive the armored ones are the biggest problem and youu want to get rid of them FAST, I think thats why railgun is so good, 1 shots most of them and destroys chargers and Titans really fast, for add clear ya the arc thrower can be efficient
Assuming at least 2 people take Railgun + Shield Backpack, that leaves only 12 strategems left on your team available. The Railgunners are gonna be taking some combination Orbital Laser + 500 pounders/Orbital Rail + Eagle Cluster. The other teammates are gonna be taking similar, with maybe a sentry/auto cannon/grenade launcher if it fits mission requirements. That’s all of your add clear requirements right there.And let’s not forget that you can even take Guard Dogs if you want, which is gonna be much more useful than an Arc Thrower. And there’s even less room if the other teammates also take the Shield Backpack.
@Crazymrpipz I dont use the arc thrower on automotons but it's my main on bugs. I use expendeble anti tank and drop it on CD for titans and the occasional charger if its down. if its not enough, I have an orbital rail cannon for good measure.
I think you're sleeping on the eagle airstrike a bit too much, as you said in your video about every slot mattering, flexibility is something to take into consideration when building your four stratagems. The air strike if used properly can fill ad clear, armored enemy damage ( not a kill but I've bled out chargers/knocked out armor on titans to set up railcannon), clear outposts of enemies AND structures, with all of the added eagles bonuses ( 8 second cooldown, 3 uses with hangar, 2 min rtb cd). It may not top the charts in any one category ( beat in ad clear by clusters, beat in armor killing by railcannon etc) but there is never a situation where an airstrike feels "useless" it can always be used to either stack damage on armored enemies, clear out straggling ads, or clear out outposts and poi's. That flexibility alone deserves high A+ tier.
I use the Orbital Railcannon instead of the Eagle 500kg Bomb because it not only tracks the large target you want dead, but it also has no collateral damage with teammates, plus the cooldown isn't much different. I use the Eagle Cluster Bomb or the EMS Mortar Sentry for defense missions depending on my mates' loadouts.
10:00 Mortars are useful for sneaking. (7~9 difficulty) It attracts enemies' attention, even those hiding in distance away from spot of interest or bases. Also, it's powerful to get the jobs done at clearing bases, especially when you have 2. Just put them down near your next target, meanwhile player fight for their current target. You'll find out, either the bases will be almost cleared out, or, the mobs will be away to destroy your turrets, for the players to sneak in. And again for sneaking, if you are unable to dodge patrols or bases, put mortar downs (Away from you), it will lure all the patrols and most of the base mob away. Sneak away. I think it's definitely an A. Not to mention, it's very useful in eradicate mission.

Honestly i rather like the EMS orbital and Gas orbital. Having an on demand, targeted ems that can be a great oh crap button to cover a retreat and even the gas will stop enemies walking through it and doubles as smoke. If your stealthing it then you drop the ems and gas together (less than 70s CD) kills everything except the real scary stuff which your other 2 slots can do. Low risk of friendly fire, covers a retreat, is decent damage, low cd. Also ems with a sniper vs bots is great, high ammo efficiency, stops the emissar unless you royally fuck up etc The only time id pick mortar (both) over orbital (ems &gas) is if we were on defense
Pre-Railgun I found the best build every time against Bugs is just supply pack w/ grenade launcher. Basically infinite use between regular resupply and the supply pack, melts nests and outposts and use air support vs heavy armor. You’ll top frag every game
My friend uses the HMG Turret on Helldive. It puts more rounds down range than the autocannon, and kill all bots short of tanks by an entire wave if you put it under a shield relay. Though it isn't nearly as useful vs bugs due to chargers existing. I'd put it at least in C, if not B.
You are definitely sleeping on smoke, smoke on a n objective like artillery or ore mining etc allows you complete the objectives and the terminids will stop pursuing you, also the automatons will fire significantly less at your position, as well as most of the units will stop persuing you.
Shooting the spore pods on higher difficulties helps as well, same affect as smoke. I think smokes are good for the evacuation missions too to cover the civilians.
I'm not a huge fan of the orbitals, but the Airburst's low cooldown makes it decent if you want area clear but are using your eagle for something else. Also good for covering a retreat while you run to another objective. B tier. Autocannon is easily A or S tier for me. I think it competes with the railgun. It comes with so much ammo. It can dispatch the glut of medium tier enemies faster than the railgun. And it still contributes against heavies. Kills chargers faster than the railgun. Having it at least one in your team is great. You don't get the shield backpack like a railgunner but fine, you get another strat slot instead. I'd put Eagle Airstrike at A against bots and S against bots on a Blitz mission. It makes taking out their bases very quick and painless. More charges than the 500k bomb and will still kill tanks. I think the 500k is better vs. bugs because of the bile titans.
500kg seems underpowered and i put it closer to B tier. I hit a titan dead on and it still survived and the AOE radius doesn't seem to be as big as it makes it out to be.
I have probably 50 + clips where EVERY TIME it hits the titan it dies, eithere ur game was bugged or something unlucky happened, or the nuke was poorly manufactured :D

It's a conventional half ton bomb, not a nuke. Also in game the blast damage seems to propagate on line of sight to the impact on the ground of the bomb. Meaning large rocks can block the blast
Good list, I typically go Railgun, Eagle Airstrike, Guard Dog laser, and orbital laser for bugs. For the bots I just switch the guard dog for the personal shield gen. I dont find much value in the shield for bugs, guard dog on the other hand has no problem clearing anything weaker than a Charger, which also saves a ton of ammo for me. Railgun and Eagle air strike are the best stratagems imo. Rail gun is obvious but the Eagle feels like the "jack of all trades" weapon. Easy to hit, clears objectives, has 3 charges (after upgrade), low cooldown, still does great damage only being out shown by the "big 3" (500kg, orbital rail and orbital beam) and its still great at add clear. Cluster is clearly better for add clear, but its too niche imo. Titan pops out and i can still use an eagle airstrike on it for good damage. Ill use double mortars for defense missions, supply pack is nice to have sometimes, and maybe grenade launcher. Everything else is "just for fun" and Im usually dropping orbital beam for it. Breaker, smg, fastest recon armor, +5 speed helmet, and impact nades finishes the loadout.
Honestly i feel like the laser isn't that good because you only get 3 uses then its gone forever where as something like the 500kg bomb if fully upgraded can be used twice before needing to rearm and can be used infinitely
Eagle airstike kills heavies and cluster doesn't so i would swap their tiers. Recoiless is A tier easy, only weapon that will one-shot drop ships that you can carry spare ammo for that can be replenished with ammo supplies.
Ballistic shield with smg is nearly invulnerable from the front against robots. It’s weak against rockets though as it’ll knock it out of your hand. Been playing with it on suicidal-Helldive and it works. Maybe A tier
nice rankings ,id upgrade the emp airdrop a tier or 2 , reason being if myself or my teamates are getting jump i can drop a large area Emp where i want it. The mortars are more preemptive.
19:33 Balistic shield, the only reason it exists is because the 2nd best (My opinion) primary gun in the game SMG-Defender. Try it. I think it is at least B tier. And you can pair it with shield backpack. (I usually ask 1 Shield backpack from my friend, if theirs support backpack not in cooldown) It is useful both against terminids and automatons. Against automatons, it let you shoot at better spots while minimizing risks. SMG-Defender is also perfect against both Terminids and Automatons.
deffender is great i enjoy it, that said Balistic looks like a pick for which I would give up Railgun or something like that, which I dont think is worth it, The fack that u can still use a shield sure thats great
Is smoke not even useful for the scientist missions? Im not even at endgame but even at difficulty 6 those feel impossible to brute force, I routinely see 3-5 tanks on screen at one time. And thats at diff 6. Even with rail guns and 500kg's and lasers i cant imagine you can clear all the enemies at higher difficulties.
you can def clear them that said u can use the smoke aswell, from ourt experience we just never had to if that makes sense, when we did it was like... okay thats cool lets go back to the main stuff :D

19:04 Rover is not A Reason being, when they turn, they will keep their laser on, possibly frying your teammates. It's good, if you manage to keep your foes at 1 direction. But when your team are caught in a bad place, or swarmed in a terminid base, these things can fry your allies. This won't happen if you play with friends or at least good players. But in Pubs, teammates carrying Rover is just plain scary.
I would put gas attack minimum in B tier if is used defensively can clear a entire bug breach because last for 20 secs and have around 70 seconds of cooldown only
imo the nuke belongs in A tier currently. 110 MM rocket pods and the orbital railcannon strike do what you suggest it does quicker and more efficiently. The nuke, AOE is way, WAY smaller than it looks and very often I barely kill anything with it despite dropping it into large, immobile crowds. I have a feeling it will be buffed with a bigger AOE but right now there are cheaper strategems that do what it does way better.
Its mainly the fact that you get 2 once you update your ship. I felt tge same as you guys but after you upgrade your ship you get 2 and it cools down in less than 2 minutes. Having the additional one really makes it top tier
nuke has 2 uses and a very low Cd, once you understand how to bait the Titans into it its very easy to make it consistantly kill and the afct that u have 2 is crazy good that said all the things you mentioned are also great, thats what makes the game amazsing

I disagree on the EAT since your basis on having it lower than recoilless is that it has less ammo, you get 2 shots with it every 70 seconds, it can be used with other support weapons like the railgun as well since it is expendable, it also doesn’t eat up a backpack slot allowing you to bring the shield genny on top of it, speaking of which its odd that you mention this fact for the autocannon but not the recoilless rifle. That being said this is my personal opinion.
If everyone bring rail gun and EAT titans just get gibbed along with chargers. The map also gets littered w EAT. Basically a no/low cool downs to gib armors.
I also disagree with him on that, I think EAT and Recoiless are the same tier. The EAT was the GOAT while leveling up and dealing with the Chargers on diff 4 or 5, specially because you get 2 every drop and you only need 1 to kill 1 Charger (1 to take the armor off the leg and just use regular gun to kill)... but I get it, on diff 7+ there are so many chargers at the same time that is almost unthinkable not to bring the Railgun (being a player above level 20).
I was going to ask this too, It doesnt take up a backpack spot. and you be be carrying one and call another two in. I been bringing EATs for Termites and Autobots. Just because I can carry one while using a supply pack. So I was curious why the TH-camr think there shet? and says the recoiless is better, but not mention you need to have a bkacpack with it or someone else has too?
Autocannon is way more versitile than the recoilles rifle, also as another comment mentions as long as you have railguns, I really dont understand why I would wait for something every 70 seconds compared to something I can have all the time that does INSANE damage and destroys titans
I find myself using shield generator pack on helldive difficulty when its only me or one other person. Along with being so fast with light armor, it saved my life so many times.
I’ve gotten quite a lot of mileage out of the anti material rifle, especially against bots. It can kill Hulks with 2-3 shots to the head, which hasn’t been very difficult. And it can destroy the Tank with 5 shots or a full clip to its weak spot, it also doesn’t use a backpack slot. I don’t have much stratagems unlocked but I feel that it should C or low B tier. If it had Medium Armour penetration would bump it right up to A tier
19:38 Arc Thrower, Is a super versatile weapon against Terminids. Not that effective against automatons. It has infinite ammo and attacks that chain between targets. It can kill Chargers and other armored foes, even Bile Titan. Although not as fast as Railgun. I think it should be at least B or A.

11:03 I have not test it, But I think I've seen gatling sentry killing hulk and chargers (Although it took them significant amount of time, and someone else baiting those 2). Since it can kill the above 2, I think it's worth considering it as B. Never seen it in 7~9 difficulty.
The air strike is better than cluster. Your talking endgame and the cluster doesn't close holes or fabricators. The air strike does... and the air strike can take out most heavily armored units.
How is that standart machine turret higher then gatling turret? Gatling have much more dps and higher ammo capacity with around the same agility compare to standart turret.
how do you rank GATLING SENTRY behind MACHINE GUN SENTRY... like.. gatling is quite literally improved machine gun in every possible way... you can't make this up
absolutely NO shot that the laser is better than railcannon. it seems like you basically ignored cooldown when making this tierlist. lvl 9 difficulty throws bile titans nonstop at you, the laser will kill 3 max across the entire mission because that's all you get, plus the cooldown is 5 mins. you can use it on smaller mobs too, but cluster bomb is way better for that function. Compare that to railcannon, a guaranteed and quick bile titan oneshot every 210 seconds with no limit, it's not even close.
The shield generator is bugged, the description says its vs ranged but it works vs everything. And as you say, makes all other choices hard to take over it. (Edit: backpack)
take tier lists with a grain of salt fellas the D and C like the sniper players are using to solo clear at helldive difficulty and this is what makes this game fun.
yu can clear helldive without using a gun:) there is no scenario at endgame where the sniper is more valued that any of the s or a tier items, but if somebodys having fun... who the hell cares about the meta:) just slap that badboy n and enjoy

great tierlist, very accurate. Only one thing I don't agree with. I am convinced that the Eagle Cluster Bombing is VERY overrated, it's almost completely useless, anything that is an actual threat survives it. The Airstrike is BY FAR the better spammable Eagle, it's almost as good as the 500kg when it works properly.
Orbital laser is good but it’s not S tier bc it’s only 3 uses so I’d say B bc yea it’s good but 3 uses. Oh yea there’s no end game, Anti material rifle is C, shield generator is A bc it uses a backpack taking away from other things as well.
Rail cannon is better than the laser it’s instant,cooldown is lower and has unlimited uses so I legit don’t see how it could be better.the laser is good but not better than the cannon.the problem I see with the laser is that it can kill you and your teammates and it does dot and the cooldown is abysmally long
Cd is higher, but it does waaaaaaaaaaay more damage, and its more versitile, if ur swarmed its good, if you need a tank/titan kill its good, charger kill its good

Shield pops to ez. Rather set up a defense with HMG and a couple sentries can at least take out hulk by takeing out their kneecaps and saves ammo on yourself just can't take out tanks but then you keep a 500kg on your last slot.

Auto-cannon sentry, arc thrower and you can solo anything easily against bugs It also stun lock devastators and striders makings bot drops pretty simple
Bro the Rail gun just urks TF out of me, can't stand the aesthetics or how it functions so yeah I say there's a lot of reasons to use the other weapons.
tier list of this game is a mess and it's a good think imo. every people have their own oppinion like bullistic shield. some people that using them will say it's A or S tier when using with defender smg vs bot.
it is a very good thing for sure, shows that many people play different styles:) that said some items are just factually better and I think some people are in early game and think the items they love will be strong at endgame:)
it does make sense, its a single target damage that deals with 1 taget at a time and than goes on cooldown, in most cases single targets are never the issue for example on extraction, if ur running railguns u can 1 shot titans, so im more intersed in something that can do both single target and ADD clear if needed, thats what the laser does
Arc thrower is so good i don't understand who says its garbage... If you know how to not kill ur teammates with it its absolutely insane.. i was spreading damage between 6 chargers multiple titans tons of small things killing robots just as good as bugs... It never runs put of ammo you can spam it pretty fast once you learn how.. it has such a long range its crazy no backpack slot so paired with sheild you will basically never die... You can use orbital laser with it to shread heavies like they are nothing (my favorite combo) guys give it a go i play on level 9 for robots and bugs and i would say its better then the railgun
the thing is you can use it and be lvl 70:) my friend brings 2 sentrys everytime and has more kills cause he enjoys sentrys:) but that doesnt mean its a good pick because he killed small adds:) there is more to the game than adds, there is no reason to give up the rail gun for arc thrower when it shits on all armor enemies, once again, doesnt mean U CANT DO IT but its not the ultimate choice @@theoverwhelmer
@@Crazymrpipz it really is though. By the time you make it to the next encounter it’s ready. In prolonged encounters you can easily have 2-3 calldowns. The cooldown is so quick you don’t have to save it for heavies. I’ve used it to close bug holes and fabricators from range by the time I get in there to clear out the remainder of the base/nest it’s already off cooldown
Ofc this is ur opinion ur I feel like it’s obvious u didn’t give everything enough time to learn how it works the fact u put the arc thrower and sniper and d tier so fast when they are so good when used right is actual insane and also the rover saves me way more tbh an the shield but then again choosing how we wanna play is a big reason why this game is so fun

Umm lets see, unlimited ammo, high damage, each shot hits CLEARS hordes, it ignores armor, can easily be fired rapidly. I have pulled off clutch wins in Helldiver difficulty with that thing, there is no secondary that compares to it. 3 Arc throwers can down a titan in 5 seconds flat......

The unbalanced items makes really boring this game. Every match railgun, backpack shield, laser, Nuke, scout. I dont event seen any other good build for the end game. Maybe granade launcher, supły pack and heavy/medium armour whith stamina enhancment. Nuke ist the worst one from the S thier I found sometimes dosent event kill the smallest enemy near the explosion center. I saw this from above when I was on the hight rock, definetly need a fix. Cluster bomb kill a lot of more.
ya the S tier and A tier Items mostly overshadow everything else for sure but I think no matter what Meta it is there will always be Items like that, thanks for the comment btw

The only thing the anti mat can't kill faster and in more numbers than the railgun is tanks. At least when your fighting bots. 1 hulk you will kill faster with a railgun. 4 hulks will be killed faster with an anti mat. Anti mat kills everything else in one shot, has more ammo and can fire those shots faster than the rail
oh wait I though u said autocannon... but ur comparing the sniper to railgun, ya the sniper is something you never ever need at endgame, you can use it, that doesnt make it a good pick overall, the AUtocannon even though it has a pack still will always be a better pick for endgame @@nip3004
@Crazymrpipz that's what I mean it's, just not true. First don't use the anti mat as a sniper or it will be useless. Like I said it kills things other than tanks faster than the railgun thanks to its fire rate and has more ammo. It still let's you use a back pack unlike the auto cannon. Against bots it's probably one of the strongest weapons. We almost airways have at least one on helldive because of how fast they take out devistators and hulks.
@@nip3004I agree, I’ve been using it constantly against bots. I haven’t unlocked most of the other stuff but being able to take out Hulks with 2-3 shots to the head and about a full clip for tanks is pretty good. Also the amount of ammo definitely gives it the edge, just wished it had medium armour penetration. I’d say that the Sniper, Railgun and Recoilless should be in the same tier, they each just have their own pros and cons.
I like the teir list but do you really understand the meaning of 150 hours? General people game about 1-3 hours a day if they have the time for it but having 150 hours in a game that’s only been out for 2 weeks is insane! Dude chill this game isn’t going anywhere lol
I absolutely love the mines for helldive, it has made defending my flank so much easier. Also the arc turret is nice to get breathing room since the enemies focus it and it'll take groups down before it dies. The eagle run is easily A tier and usually prefer it over the 500kg because you get more, comes out faster, one shot everything except bile titan and the hulks. Which is weird because it can one shot the tanks. Smoke in general is vastly underrated especially against bots. The shield when I've used it is honestly better than the backpack shield generator when used with the defender. Also the auto cannon in my opinion is better than the rail gun since it can add clear and when you learn the weak spots for the enemies it just deletes like 2 shooting the bile titan by blasting its mouth right before it spits
Absolute insanity putting the expendible anti tank in the C tier. Low cooldown and you can call one down throughtout the map every time it becomes available and amyone can grab one and take out heavy armor. At least expose it to fetal damage. You have lost your mind lol. I still respect your opinion.

Also if you die, you have to wait for a cool down to get your weapon, most can be re-aquired by nuking your dead corpse though sooo... Its seems like mostly a versatile option if you know how to set up
would be good if you can at least mention all the names when u are ranking them instead of going "this one going to A tier" "this one going to C tier" on some of them.

I'm almost level 40 and loving every part of it. It's like you said, when we are talking endgame, shieldpack + railgun + 500kg (with upgraded hangar) are basically a must have. The other spot usually the Orbital Laser or Rail or Cluster and that's it, but that's the price of playing diff 7+.
That's why I enjoy playing and helping lower level missions, like diff 3 to 5, that we can actually try some different stuff, for example I love bringing the HMG turret and mount it, or bringing 4 sentries, etc.
On a side note: The disposable rocket was a GOAT while leveling up and dealing with Chargers, since you have two of them you can just shoot 1 and expose the leg and use your primary to kill it, and grab the other rocket without needing to reload and deal with the other charger, it really helped dealing with the couple of chargers during diff 4 and 5 while being low level and not having Railguns. But on the high diff, there are so many Chargers at the same time that is unthinkable to not use the Railgun to deal with them.

It was like that in helldivers 1 as well. Theres a certain point where the fun/goofy stratgems just couldn't cut a lvl 12 dive.
Sure some 'could' manage. But most of the population sat in 5-10 difficulty
With a lil over 100 hours I disagree. Those aren’t mandatory at all lol. Use what you want, that’s what I do. And I have great success on Helldive. It’s all about player skill, if you rely on things then you just suck

Heard the same from users on the HD Discord. Seems to be something off with its hit box, or hit box detection.
I used it on a couple missions and was left underwhelmed.
The devs know it's hitbox is wonky.
Not "bugged, the aoe damage is line of sight to the bomb landing location. If you drop it in a hole... Or behind a big rock... The damage is blocked by the terrain
Its great for taking down outposts or if you can drop it directly under dropships. Its useless in almost every other scenario.
I think you mixed up sentrys, gatling is literally a straight upgrade from machine gun. Once you unlock gatling theres no reason to use the machine gun sentry unless you're stacking them in solo play at lower levels.
Clusterbomb is an enemy actor. I've been killed by this more than any enemy or any other strategem. You should have to take a class and get a license to use it.

Really. It is one of the safest for me. It drops on a straight line left ot right , and you can drop it pretty close if you are familiar with its strike path

Arc Thrower is often slept on. Railgun will put armored targets down faster but the arc thrower has versatility which allows you to deal damage and kill every enemy type. You can partially charge follow up shots to rapid fire and take down things such as chargers and hulks quickly as well as take down titans if you find your stratagems on cooldown if you keep poking it with the lightning. It makes most swarms of enemies a joke. The infinite ammo also means you can pretty much main the gun and run around with a shield pack.
the thing is, on helldive the armored ones are the biggest problem and youu want to get rid of them FAST, I think thats why railgun is so good, 1 shots most of them and destroys chargers and Titans really fast, for add clear ya the arc thrower can be efficient
Assuming at least 2 people take Railgun + Shield Backpack, that leaves only 12 strategems left on your team available. The Railgunners are gonna be taking some combination Orbital Laser + 500 pounders/Orbital Rail + Eagle Cluster. The other teammates are gonna be taking similar, with maybe a sentry/auto cannon/grenade launcher if it fits mission requirements. That’s all of your add clear requirements right there.And let’s not forget that you can even take Guard Dogs if you want, which is gonna be much more useful than an Arc Thrower. And there’s even less room if the other teammates also take the Shield Backpack.
@Crazymrpipz I dont use the arc thrower on automotons but it's my main on bugs. I use expendeble anti tank and drop it on CD for titans and the occasional charger if its down. if its not enough, I have an orbital rail cannon for good measure.
Rail is definitely better but so overused, if you want something different, fun and actually pretty reliable, Arc is the way to go
Arc thrower is a friendly fire magnet. Every time i use it i get at least two teams kills then i swich the weapon
I think you're sleeping on the eagle airstrike a bit too much, as you said in your video about every slot mattering, flexibility is something to take into consideration when building your four stratagems. The air strike if used properly can fill ad clear, armored enemy damage ( not a kill but I've bled out chargers/knocked out armor on titans to set up railcannon), clear outposts of enemies AND structures, with all of the added eagles bonuses ( 8 second cooldown, 3 uses with hangar, 2 min rtb cd). It may not top the charts in any one category ( beat in ad clear by clusters, beat in armor killing by railcannon etc) but there is never a situation where an airstrike feels "useless" it can always be used to either stack damage on armored enemies, clear out straggling ads, or clear out outposts and poi's. That flexibility alone deserves high A+ tier.
I use the Orbital Railcannon instead of the Eagle 500kg Bomb because it not only tracks the large target you want dead, but it also has no collateral damage with teammates, plus the cooldown isn't much different.
I use the Eagle Cluster Bomb or the EMS Mortar Sentry for defense missions depending on my mates' loadouts.

Mortars are useful for sneaking. (7~9 difficulty)
It attracts enemies' attention, even those hiding in distance away from spot of interest or bases.
Also, it's powerful to get the jobs done at clearing bases, especially when you have 2.
Just put them down near your next target, meanwhile player fight for their current target.
You'll find out, either the bases will be almost cleared out, or, the mobs will be away to destroy your turrets, for the players to sneak in.
And again for sneaking, if you are unable to dodge patrols or bases, put mortar downs (Away from you), it will lure all the patrols and most of the base mob away.
Sneak away.
I think it's definitely an A.
Not to mention, it's very useful in eradicate mission.

The biggest issue with mortar and bug nests is if you only have grenades then when trying to close the holes the mortar can kill you.
The grenade launcher is so helpful when trying to crowd control and taking out nests (my main use), S tier for me.

Honestly i rather like the EMS orbital and Gas orbital.
Having an on demand, targeted ems that can be a great oh crap button to cover a retreat and even the gas will stop enemies walking through it and doubles as smoke.
If your stealthing it then you drop the ems and gas together (less than 70s CD) kills everything except the real scary stuff which your other 2 slots can do.
Low risk of friendly fire, covers a retreat, is decent damage, low cd.
Also ems with a sniper vs bots is great, high ammo efficiency, stops the emissar unless you royally fuck up etc
The only time id pick mortar (both) over orbital (ems &gas) is if we were on defense
Pre-Railgun I found the best build every time against Bugs is just supply pack w/ grenade launcher. Basically infinite use between regular resupply and the supply pack, melts nests and outposts and use air support vs heavy armor. You’ll top frag every game
My friend uses the HMG Turret on Helldive. It puts more rounds down range than the autocannon, and kill all bots short of tanks by an entire wave if you put it under a shield relay.
Though it isn't nearly as useful vs bugs due to chargers existing. I'd put it at least in C, if not B.
You are definitely sleeping on smoke, smoke on a n objective like artillery or ore mining etc allows you complete the objectives and the terminids will stop pursuing you, also the automatons will fire significantly less at your position, as well as most of the units will stop persuing you.
Shooting the spore pods on higher difficulties helps as well, same affect as smoke. I think smokes are good for the evacuation missions too to cover the civilians.
Which smoke do you suggest?
Mission and squad specific, I’ve just been using the Eagle smoke. It seems to give wide coverage.
I'm not a huge fan of the orbitals, but the Airburst's low cooldown makes it decent if you want area clear but are using your eagle for something else. Also good for covering a retreat while you run to another objective. B tier.
Autocannon is easily A or S tier for me. I think it competes with the railgun. It comes with so much ammo. It can dispatch the glut of medium tier enemies faster than the railgun. And it still contributes against heavies. Kills chargers faster than the railgun. Having it at least one in your team is great. You don't get the shield backpack like a railgunner but fine, you get another strat slot instead.
I'd put Eagle Airstrike at A against bots and S against bots on a Blitz mission. It makes taking out their bases very quick and painless. More charges than the 500k bomb and will still kill tanks. I think the 500k is better vs. bugs because of the bile titans.
500kg seems underpowered and i put it closer to B tier. I hit a titan dead on and it still survived and the AOE radius doesn't seem to be as big as it makes it out to be.
I have probably 50 + clips where EVERY TIME it hits the titan it dies, eithere ur game was bugged or something unlucky happened, or the nuke was poorly manufactured :D

It's a conventional half ton bomb, not a nuke. Also in game the blast damage seems to propagate on line of sight to the impact on the ground of the bomb. Meaning large rocks can block the blast

Good list, I typically go Railgun, Eagle Airstrike, Guard Dog laser, and orbital laser for bugs. For the bots I just switch the guard dog for the personal shield gen. I dont find much value in the shield for bugs, guard dog on the other hand has no problem clearing anything weaker than a Charger, which also saves a ton of ammo for me. Railgun and Eagle air strike are the best stratagems imo. Rail gun is obvious but the Eagle feels like the "jack of all trades" weapon. Easy to hit, clears objectives, has 3 charges (after upgrade), low cooldown, still does great damage only being out shown by the "big 3" (500kg, orbital rail and orbital beam) and its still great at add clear. Cluster is clearly better for add clear, but its too niche imo. Titan pops out and i can still use an eagle airstrike on it for good damage. Ill use double mortars for defense missions, supply pack is nice to have sometimes, and maybe grenade launcher. Everything else is "just for fun" and Im usually dropping orbital beam for it. Breaker, smg, fastest recon armor, +5 speed helmet, and impact nades finishes the loadout.

Eagle airstike kills heavies and cluster doesn't so i would swap their tiers. Recoiless is A tier easy, only weapon that will one-shot drop ships that you can carry spare ammo for that can be replenished with ammo supplies.
Ballistic shield with smg is nearly invulnerable from the front against robots. It’s weak against rockets though as it’ll knock it out of your hand. Been playing with it on suicidal-Helldive and it works. Maybe A tier

It is useful both against terminids and automatons. Against automatons, it let you shoot at better spots while minimizing risks.

Is smoke not even useful for the scientist missions? Im not even at endgame but even at difficulty 6 those feel impossible to brute force, I routinely see 3-5 tanks on screen at one time. And thats at diff 6. Even with rail guns and 500kg's and lasers i cant imagine you can clear all the enemies at higher difficulties.
you can def clear them that said u can use the smoke aswell, from ourt experience we just never had to if that makes sense, when we did it was like... okay thats cool lets go back to the main stuff :D

Reason being, when they turn, they will keep their laser on, possibly frying your teammates.
It's good, if you manage to keep your foes at 1 direction.
But when your team are caught in a bad place, or swarmed in a terminid base, these things can fry your allies.
This won't happen if you play with friends or at least good players.
But in Pubs, teammates carrying Rover is just plain scary.
pubs ya people tend to run into grenades and everything pretty much :D
I would put gas attack minimum in B tier if is used defensively can clear a entire bug breach because last for 20 secs and have around 70 seconds of cooldown only
imo the nuke belongs in A tier currently. 110 MM rocket pods and the orbital railcannon strike do what you suggest it does quicker and more efficiently. The nuke, AOE is way, WAY smaller than it looks and very often I barely kill anything with it despite dropping it into large, immobile crowds. I have a feeling it will be buffed with a bigger AOE but right now there are cheaper strategems that do what it does way better.
Plus the Orbital Railcannon TRACKS the large target with no collateral damage against teammates, and the cooldown isn't much different.
Its mainly the fact that you get 2 once you update your ship. I felt tge same as you guys but after you upgrade your ship you get 2 and it cools down in less than 2 minutes. Having the additional one really makes it top tier
nuke has 2 uses and a very low Cd, once you understand how to bait the Titans into it its very easy to make it consistantly kill and the afct that u have 2 is crazy good that said all the things you mentioned are also great, thats what makes the game amazsing

I disagree on the EAT since your basis on having it lower than recoilless is that it has less ammo, you get 2 shots with it every 70 seconds, it can be used with other support weapons like the railgun as well since it is expendable, it also doesn’t eat up a backpack slot allowing you to bring the shield genny on top of it, speaking of which its odd that you mention this fact for the autocannon but not the recoilless rifle. That being said this is my personal opinion.
If everyone bring rail gun and EAT titans just get gibbed along with chargers. The map also gets littered w EAT. Basically a no/low cool downs to gib armors.
I also disagree with him on that, I think EAT and Recoiless are the same tier. Autocannon is way more versitile than the recoilles rifle, also as another comment mentions as long as you have railguns, I really dont understand why I would wait for something every 70 seconds compared to something I can have all the time that does INSANE damage and destroys titans

I’ve gotten quite a lot of mileage out of the anti material rifle, especially against bots. It can kill Hulks with 2-3 shots to the head, which hasn’t been very difficult. And it can destroy the Tank with 5 shots or a full clip to its weak spot, it also doesn’t use a backpack slot. I don’t have much stratagems unlocked but I feel that it should C or low B tier. If it had Medium Armour penetration would bump it right up to A tier

Is a super versatile weapon against Terminids.
Not that effective against automatons.
It has infinite ammo and attacks that chain between targets.
It can kill Chargers and other armored foes, even Bile Titan. Although not as fast as Railgun.
I think it should be at least B or A.

The air strike is better than cluster. Your talking endgame and the cluster doesn't close holes or fabricators. The air strike does... and the air strike can take out most heavily armored units.

How is that standart machine turret higher then gatling turret? Gatling have much more dps and higher ammo capacity with around the same agility compare to standart turret.

absolutely NO shot that the laser is better than railcannon. it seems like you basically ignored cooldown when making this tierlist. lvl 9 difficulty throws bile titans nonstop at you, the laser will kill 3 max across the entire mission because that's all you get, plus the cooldown is 5 mins. you can use it on smaller mobs too, but cluster bomb is way better for that function. Compare that to railcannon, a guaranteed and quick bile titan oneshot every 210 seconds with no limit, it's not even close.

great tierlist, very accurate. Only one thing I don't agree with. I am convinced that the Eagle Cluster Bombing is VERY overrated, it's almost completely useless, anything that is an actual threat survives it. The Airstrike is BY FAR the better spammable Eagle, it's almost as good as the 500kg when it works properly.

Rail cannon is better than the laser it’s instant,cooldown is lower and has unlimited uses so I legit don’t see how it could be better.the laser is good but not better than the cannon.the problem I see with the laser is that it can kill you and your teammates and it does dot and the cooldown is abysmally long
Cd is higher, but it does waaaaaaaaaaay more damage, and its more versitile, if ur swarmed its good, if you need a tank/titan kill its good, charger kill its good

E/MG 101 HMG is good against bots - its shreds everything (even hulk in front) except tanks, but against bugs its trash

Shield pops to ez. Rather set up a defense with HMG and a couple sentries can at least take out hulk by takeing out their kneecaps and saves ammo on yourself just can't take out tanks but then you keep a 500kg on your last slot.

it is a very good thing for sure, shows that many people play different styles:) that said some items are just factually better and I think some people are in early game and think the items they love will be strong at endgame:)

it does make sense, its a single target damage that deals with 1 taget at a time and than goes on cooldown, in most cases single targets are never the issue for example on extraction, if ur running railguns u can 1 shot titans, so im more intersed in something that can do both single target and ADD clear if needed, thats what the laser does

Arc thrower is so good i don't understand who says its garbage... If you know how to not kill ur teammates with it its absolutely insane.. i was spreading damage between 6 chargers multiple titans tons of small things killing robots just as good as bugs... It never runs put of ammo you can spam it pretty fast once you learn how.. it has such a long range its crazy no backpack slot so paired with sheild you will basically never die... You can use orbital laser with it to shread heavies like they are nothing (my favorite combo) guys give it a go i play on level 9 for robots and bugs and i would say its better then the railgun
this is a edgame list, noone will ever get in that pod and be like... nah fuck the railgun or the shield today we use the arcthrower cause its better

the thing is you can use it and be lvl 70:) my friend brings 2 sentrys everytime and has more kills cause he enjoys sentrys:) but that doesnt mean its a good pick because he killed small adds:) there is more to the game than adds, there is no reason to give up the rail gun for arc thrower when it shits on all armor enemies, once again, doesnt mean U CANT DO IT but its not the ultimate choice @@theoverwhelmer

You can literally one shot a bile titan with a headshot and it’s a 1min cooldown so you can spam these
something that has a 1 min cooldown isnt spam
@@Crazymrpipz it really is though. By the time you make it to the next encounter it’s ready. In prolonged encounters you can easily have 2-3 calldowns.
The cooldown is so quick you don’t have to save it for heavies. I’ve used it to close bug holes and fabricators from range by the time I get in there to clear out the remainder of the base/nest it’s already off cooldown

Umm lets see, unlimited ammo, high damage, each shot hits CLEARS hordes, it ignores armor, can easily be fired rapidly. I have pulled off clutch wins in Helldiver difficulty with that thing, there is no secondary that compares to it. 3 Arc throwers can down a titan in 5 seconds flat......

The unbalanced items makes really boring this game. Every match railgun, backpack shield, laser, Nuke, scout. I dont event seen any other good build for the end game. Maybe granade launcher, supły pack and heavy/medium armour whith stamina enhancment. Nuke ist the worst one from the S thier I found sometimes dosent event kill the smallest enemy near the explosion center. I saw this from above when I was on the hight rock, definetly need a fix. Cluster bomb kill a lot of more.
ya the S tier and A tier Items mostly overshadow everything else for sure but I think no matter what Meta it is there will always be Items like that, thanks for the comment btw
Railgun needs a nerf

The only thing the anti mat can't kill faster and in more numbers than the railgun is tanks. At least when your fighting bots.
1 hulk you will kill faster with a railgun. 4 hulks will be killed faster with an anti mat.
Anti mat kills everything else in one shot, has more ammo and can fire those shots faster than the rail

@Crazymrpipz that's what I mean it's, just not true. First don't use the anti mat as a sniper or it will be useless. Like I said it kills things other than tanks faster than the railgun thanks to its fire rate and has more ammo. It still let's you use a back pack unlike the auto cannon. Against bots it's probably one of the strongest weapons. We almost airways have at least one on helldive because of how fast they take out devistators and hulks.
@@nip3004I agree, I’ve been using it constantly against bots. I haven’t unlocked most of the other stuff but being able to take out Hulks with 2-3 shots to the head and about a full clip for tanks is pretty good. Also the amount of ammo definitely gives it the edge, just wished it had medium armour penetration. I’d say that the Sniper, Railgun and Recoilless should be in the same tier, they each just have their own pros and cons.
Considering how well everything else works and that it hasn't been patched yet, the spear is probably working as intended.

I absolutely love the mines for helldive, it has made defending my flank so much easier. Also the arc turret is nice to get breathing room since the enemies focus it and it'll take groups down before it dies. The eagle run is easily A tier and usually prefer it over the 500kg because you get more, comes out faster, one shot everything except bile titan and the hulks. Which is weird because it can one shot the tanks. Smoke in general is vastly underrated especially against bots. The shield when I've used it is honestly better than the backpack shield generator when used with the defender. Also the auto cannon in my opinion is better than the rail gun since it can add clear and when you learn the weak spots for the enemies it just deletes like 2 shooting the bile titan by blasting its mouth right before it spits

Absolute insanity putting the expendible anti tank in the C tier. Low cooldown and you can call one down throughtout the map every time it becomes available and amyone can grab one and take out heavy armor. At least expose it to fetal damage. You have lost your mind lol.

@@CrazymrpipzI mostly use it to kill bile titans easy. 2 in the face and its done. I feel like that weapon is more of a setup weapon. Also if you die, you have to wait for a cool down to get your weapon, most can be re-aquired by nuking your dead corpse though sooo... Its seems like mostly a versatile option if you know how to set up

Also, the criteria for ranking is that “there is better.” The balancing in this game isn’t very good as far as equipment, so basically you’re unlocking the better stuff as you level up.
