    Not that we won't be qualified, just that we'll be placed in the compulsory speciality and the rush courses done in R425 to be given the "fruit salad" we'll do but will be part of our general nursing qualification, if any R171 or R174 student wants to explore different paths, they can then specialize in that particular field by going back to school😁

    Honestly I find it ridiculous that Free State only has one university that offers this program, can you imagine the competition?!! The many people in the Free State!, ITs not fair!

      @@masiminihontse2931 I recently found out from my lecturer too, if you check the fourth year modules of the new curriculum there's Research methodology and other research modules.

      @@zama8386 if you want to do get a masters qualification you don’t have to do honours first since the new nursing qualification is NQF level 8

    Hi sam, Sam I wanted to know if I don't wanna do advance diploma in midwifery after My diploma, can I just do another speciality instead of midwifery. I also want to know do I have to wait for 2 years in the speciality I took ,before I can do post graduate???

    Does it mean that you only focus on general nursing and midwifery only,
    And you dont do anything related to community or psych nursing

    Hi..so the bachelor of nursing (NQF level 8) is no longer offered in colleges but in universities only?

      Hi Thabile as far as l know they are not offering the NQF Level 8 in Colleges only in Universities. Only the NQF level 6 Diploma in Nursing is being offered at Colleges.

      Hi Miss B, you will get employment, there's always a need for ENAs in the hospitals and care giving homes.

    When applying to university they always ask what is your second choice gonna be if you don't get into nursing. what did you choose?

      Interesting enough I had Pharmacy as l my first choice, Nursing as my second choice and Psychology as my third choice.
