  • Hello there, how are ya? Welcome back to ~ howididit ~ This process took longer than I though it would, but then, all of my projects seem to take longer than I had planned for ;-) Anyway, the first section of wire is in, all of the trenching is completed, now I just have to install the rest of the frost free hydrants, and install the sub panels.
Thanks again for watching, liking, and subscribing to my channel, have a wonderful, and Blessed week.

That is awesome! Congratulations!! The key is slow and steady; it will be difficult to remember sometimes that it takes much longer doing it by yourself.

I'm impressed as a industrial electrician.....a half hitch a few times on the wire will work wonders. tape the knot and tape the end. if possible the next time have someone guiding the wire into the conduit so you don't gamble skinning the wire. The only question I have is did you tell the supply house that sold you the wire your overall length so that the voltage drop was calculated so you would get the correct wire size?

Thanks! I did, but the length ended up about 100" longer than originally thought. I followed the driving path around the property rather than the initial straight line from point a-b. I am hoping the drop with extra 100' feet will be minimal.
