The DT 466 probably the best engine ever produced!
Yes it was a great engine
I love seeing Turbo written in white cursive against the red.
That 466 was a game changer when it came out!…I’ve read many articles stating that in true IH style, the blocks were way overbuilt to withstand a great amount of stress for many hard years of service…a very heavy block that was capable of pushing over a 1000hp and with some modifications it could sustain well over 1500hp…those IH engines were extremely well designed and made and if you had one of those tractors brand new with proper maintenance and the incredible lubricant technology we have today, I’m not sure they would ever wear out!..I think the world was a better place when IH still made tractors!
JD still trying to catch it on the pulling track .
When tractor pulling he could achieve this performance, but only for a short time.
First tractor i ever drove was a IH 454 when i was just turned 16 YO, nearly 42 years ago. Always loved IH. This right here is a beast!
I have a 1975 model 4366 w/ 3 point . I'm working it , & restoring it . The simplicity of this machine makes it therapeutic to work on .
I always love your videos you have the actual sound of the tractor the sound of soil turning over then you narrate the tractor talked about it a little bit and then be quiet again and let the natural sounds proceed awhile and back to detailed info of the tractor, just perfect, this is what us tractor nuts crave for, and no unnecessary music 🙂
Bellows quite loudly! Sounds great!!
I appreciate the videos so much
I watch every chance I get
Haven’t any knowledge of types of tractors or implements.
But truly enjoy watching with the upmost respect for the farmers battle with all they are up against.
Much Appreciated
That thing is sharp! Sounds really good too.
Love the 66 series, I used to work for a farmer back in the early 80s that had two 1066s 😊
Great video! Could you add some footage in the future of turning on the ends and seeing the beautiful land polish on all nine of those moldboards? It's nice to see end of row action too.
Great tractor and always enjoy plowing videos. GO BTP 👍🏻💪
This is a stand classic. Great day in the field.
Sweet, I love watching old iron getting it done
Just a walk in the park for the ole girl💪🏻2WD’s
❤😊MY FRIEND MARVIN SEEN THE 4300 TRACTOR AND THE FULLY MOUNTED 10 BOTTOM PLOW AT PLOWVILLE USA IN 1961 AT MELROSE MN😊❤
We used a 4568 and plowed with a 7 - 16 pull behind plow but you couldn't see the wheel in the furrow . Thanks for showing the 4100 and 4300 Great video
Pretty cool tractor still plowing today
It was a great day in the field.
@bigtractorpower oh yea always cool seeing old tractors still working
Got a lot of stuff from the Darst auction, but the 4300 was not in that lot. Lol! Still kicking myself for not bidding on the 58 planter with the hitch mounted spring tooth. Didn't have a trailer big enough to get it home, which is a shame as it was in great shape.
Thanks for another great Red tractor video! Regards!!
One of my favorite things is seeing American farmers with their national flag on their equipment like that.
Many farmers take great pride in their country.
I think it disrespectful to get them that dirty, it is like stepping on them. It would be okay if they did it in a clean way.
Amen
If you look closely, nationalism has had a difficult time in history...
It's hard to treat our flag correctly when you treat it like a hood ornament. Jeez. Stay safe
Xe ngon rượu ngon Việt Nam đây mấy ông già 🇻🇳😅😂❤
Nice looking setup. Really doin a nice job. Gotta love those 466 motors
My grandfather plowed with a 4386 followed by my uncle with his Steiger Cougar 3 not sure the exact model number always just referred to it as the Cougar lol but watching both of those big tractors was always amazing and made alot of memories
I spent many hours in a 4366 and a 4786 plowing and working ground,
Is that an American flag on that plow? I love America so much!
Nothing more beautiful (besides wife children etc) than tractors working
Fantastic performance nice pulling tractor 🚜 powerful smooth operation.
Great 70’s classic.
Wow that's a stunner .
It’s an IH stand out. 👍👍
I like the guide chain out front.
It really helps line every thing up to plow.
We run a ih 584, 706, 856, 966, and 1466 on our dairy farm, and the our 1466 has i believe the dt466 in it the 4366s had just set to 210hp, absolute beast on the blower filling silo, can definitely tell on the rare occasion it's not there 😂
Should be a 436. Little rectangular bare spot on the side of the block with engraving will tell you for sure
@@joshpitts7256 it had a 436 when we got it but the motor went out of the 966 and the 1466 just had the motor rebuild and we got a flyer for a dt466 for like nothing so we put 436 in the 966 and a 466 in the 1466 and personally I think the 14s should have had a 466 in to begin with, absolute beast of a motor
We farm with a steiger 9370 and STX 380.....big reds are great tractors with tons of pulling power, such a big fan of the Case 4WDs
❤😊 THAT IS ONE OF RED BIBS BILL'S FRIEND'S WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT THE TRACTOR AND THE PLOW 😊❤
❤😊I HOPE TO MAKE IT TO BONNEY BRITE PLOW DAY THIS FALL SO I CAN FINALLY GET TO MEET ALL THESE GUYS AND SEE THE WHENEVER PLOW I HELPED BILL CREATE ❤😊 ALL THE WAY FROM LE SUEUR MN!!!!😊
I watched it at the plow day.
These are really good looking tractors and lots of power. I much prefer this series over the 2+2 which came out later. They were not very good looking tractors, that long front end did not look good. But i still like red.
Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
Keep the videos coming my friend.
Have a super💯amazin🌃night
I believe that international made a articulated tractor that was powered by a DV 550 or DV850 rated at 350 hp. I think it was a 4866 .
4866 doesn't exist.
Very cool looking tractor😉👍 thanks for the video👍👍
AMERICAN tractor verry best in best❤❤❤.
IH the only way to farm
😁👍👍. They were great days when they were new.
What a beautiful outfit !
@Bigtractorpower
Don't you have a tractor simulator to the one Featured.
Way back when tractors were mules, the "plowing guide" would have been a carrot on a stick!
Great video , love to own a setup like that one, doing a top job 👍. Regards from Down Under.
Little man riding shot gun ...hill be the next great Farmer an thats cool 👍👍👍👍 great video
It's always fun watching furrow plowing. Been watching this machine and several others over on another channel lately. Cool to see it thee with much more detail. 👍👍
I enjoy seeing plowing every chance I can.
Good work ❤
Howdy bigtractorpower
Sounds glorious
Really a very nice Unit .
Go Team Red!👍🇨🇦
think i see Jason's next investment, an 8 bottom plow for his red beast
Good brother 👍
Very nice looking outfit. Obviously doing good work and I know nothing of soils in that locale, but in NO WAY was a 4366 a 9-bottom tractor when it came out (maybe they're 14-inch bottoms?) I worked at an IH dealership in central Illinois back in the day, and we hosted a plowing demonstration in wheat stubble- (can't get any easier going than that). I drove a 4366 on a 7-18 inch plow. All it wanted and I winced every time we switched passengers and I had to start out with that plow in the ground and a dry clutch...
I owned one. A 1976 model. Plenty of hp. Was good for its time.
Why would you start out with the plow in the ground?
@@nellsonstout7001 That's a heckuva good question, and I don't remember why we didn't switch passengers at the ends. Also, we were switching about every round, so it would have made a mess of the field and not real safe pulling out to make a loop with a bunch of observers milling around.
Hope you found good hospitality here in Nc Jason! You’re welcome back anytime friend.
It was a great visit to NC. I plan to return.
What town in NC is this?
Nice looking 4366!!! We still use a 4366 for our primary tillage here in WNY...they are great old tractors that get the job done! Jason, you even saw our tractor from route 490 and came and took a picture of it for your Instagram page several years back!
That's A beautiful tractor I have a 766 black stripe like new that I wouldn't trade for nothing. All those old IH sound good .
Very cool. The 66 series are an impressive line of tractors.
What happened to the Matt combining videos from corn harvest?
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to ride with Matt last year during corn harvest. I did a ride along with Billy the farm owner that Matt works for. That video is posted at th-cam.com/video/oEZn6nqGwXM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jjoaz216lCcx3lxp
You can see Matt and the first 302nd clip running an X9 at the beginning of the video
I did do a ride along with Matt planting corn this year. They finished just over a week ago. That will be posted soon.
Hello! Old Red power display...
What a beauty she is. ❤
Just like being in 1974 👍👍
Steiger supplied the frame, spec'd to 3/8" vs 1/2" in the Bearcat.
Super💯video
Great video ‼️‼️
I have an International (Cub Cadet 682) early 80's 2WD (garden) tractor, does that count? 😄
Very cool
02:05 guide line chain hanging off the red bar to keep a straight furrow. Simple but clever
$125 option 😁
Does anyone know what the bar in the front with the chain on it is used for ?
7:20 plow guide
@strong40 ok thanks that makes sense
Isn't the one you have a few years later model? I've forgotten what year and model number yours is. Can you repost a link to the video you made of your International? Thanks
His is a 4786
Classic red power…
😁👍👍👍
Have the same tractor, very good running tractor, it's just rough cause it's a straight axle instead of flex, so I use it most for seed bed finishing (cultivating) or I will rodweed with it for summerfall fields I also have a 4100 that I've had for 30 years, and last spring I was disking with it and it got hot, so I limped it back to the shop while idling, and I'm thinking it's a head gasket, both have been very good tractors for us
Very cool. Nice IH to have. I own a 4786. I enjoy running it.
Also have a 1086, and a few versatiles, a ford 6600, and a newholland 7610, and then what we used to run way back was farmalls,
@@Jrs-tl4kk2
Used to drive one of those, was a lot of fun
Very cool. What Implement did you run with it?
I have a late model 4386 on a 25 foot 340 case ih disk works great
Very nice indeed 👍👍👍
Go International...
Red Power 👍👍
Hello everyone great vidéo
Thank you for watching.
Makes a pretty good sound
IH DT 466 Turbo Charged music 👍👍
So cool
It was a cool day in the field.
Good video.
Thank you Frank. It was a fun day in the field.
I don’t care what you go out to the field to till with, it will always be cool!…but you will never be 4366 cool!..
Not bad for a Farmall!😊
No bad at all. It was like being in 1974 😁
is that yours i seem to remember you owning one
It is not mine. This is a 1974-1976 4366. I own a 1981 4786. I sure would like to plow with my 4786. I only own a cultimulcher for it right now.
Here is a video on my 4786 th-cam.com/video/4vDljpEFQoE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OdSkx8pKvFEz_zjK
My dad uses both
Great Video !!!! Thank You
We had one of the first 4156 tractors in Illinois. The thing was a turd. We traded it for a stieger after that.
Just cruising along like there nothing behind him
🚜🚜
👏👏👍👍🚜🚜👌👌💪💪
Thank you for watching.
The 800 plow was a better match for the 300hp 4568
I sure would like to find a 4568 to film
The 800 was built for the 4366 and up. IH built a 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 16 bottom. The 9 is well matched for the 4366.
What would make people say i think i will take the muffler off and be cool not to bright
Which tractor are you talking about?
You are wrong...............articulated tractors do not supply more power to the ground versus a solid frame tractor................certainly not usable traction.
Prove it with statistics.
Think you could find a way to show off these beautiful old tractors without showing them absolutely destroying soil? Thanks
Very cool looking tractors, but that sure could use a muffler. Not a fan of the straight pipe trend people think is cool.
