On Baal Zebul’s verse, I completely lost it when the demons started waving glowsticks.

I had to pause because I was in tears.
It is about the summoning of demons with each demon having an evolution invocation
They're probably just doing that to give more power to the Opera siren of the creeping plague
Baal Zebul's fight concept is phenomenal. It's simple, mind you, but that honestly does it a ton of favours. Reminds me of the final boss of Drakengard (the game that connects to the _Nier_ franchise for those unfamiliar), where you alternate between two different "melodies" in a sort of puzzle to cancel out the incoming attacks.
Funnily enough, PlatinumGames had a hand in developing Drakengard too! They are also the main devs for NieR if I remember correctly.
Plus I can see she definitely more base on the plage which fitting since she's a frog and her final form is an elagent lady to add more what's she base on, but this could also be said since it's more like prince of Egypt since it happen the same with the frogs and all.

It's also adorable how, lore-wise, Baal loves opera so much that she disguises herself as the average toad just so she can sneak on theaters to watch performances. She's so precious istg

Remember that the reason Cereza couldn't use the more powerful demons against homonculus without a dangerous ritual is because they didn't come from Heaven or Hell. That likely ties into why she especially couldn't use Queen Sheba against it, along with her being at her limit by the end. It's a really tragic weakness that ultimately destroyed her. But she never backed down despite that...
I thought queen Sheba could only be summoned by two witches or sages
@@epiclatte5383 she can be summoned by 1 witch if that witch is powerful enough. Despite my love for Bayo 1 n 2. They couldn't really handle the power depletion for summoning Sheeba alone. Unlike Cereza who's canonically and confirmed to be the strongest amongst other witches

Let's not forget about how cool the settings of these fights are, especially Gomorrah with Tokyo in ruins and the sky going mad, but my favorite is Baal Zebul. There's something about the way the Louvre is still mostly intact and the lights on the building that fits Baal so well
Ripping out her own heart so many times must take a toll on that conduit thing on her chest. She’s using the maximum amount of power she can muster
It's a forbidden ritual and banned by umbra witches society for the massive power but deadly cost. The damage can be seen in her umbran watch which weaken her control to her infernal demons to the point allow Gomorrah to gone berserk and killed her.

Baal zebub in her singing. Carried this entire game. Easily the most unique and best part of the game
The Bayonetta series always has two things in spades. Lots of ways to beat the shit out of enemies, and a whole lot of style.

Baal Zebul is a tribute to The Fifth Element Diva Plavalaguna. Her song shares many similarities to Diva Plavalaguna's Dance.
From kaiju fight to bubble battle then opera pest repellent...Man, what a journey
And The Phantom had a countdown battle. This game's 4 main boss fights have much more personality than in the previous games.

Only Gomorah, which we knew from Bayonetta 2 couldn't be trusted. The Demon Slave thing works as a gameplay reasoning but in story seems to only apply to Gammorah, the other demons either seem to know what is at stake, or are the primary contracts of their Bayonettas, and if Singularity has their souls then these powerful demon lords don't get them, so helping Bayonetta to defeat him and get their contracted souls back makes sense. As well as noting they mostly show some intelligence or loyalty yeah. Heck Baal and the others had no issues fighting the humunculi, its just the traitorous Gammorah, which as soon as I saw that was the final one in the last battle instead of the Bayo BFF Madama Butterfly I just felt it was going to go badly.
I love that Queen Butterfly’s enemy is just Sun Wukong

Baal zebul form is one of the best fighting scene in bayonetta musical killing machine
I like the demons, Baal from the beginning was my favorite. When I saw jeane get destroyed and we didn’t get her microphone I was devastes thinking we couldn’t keep her. As much as I like them though, I also miss the last battles where we had to basically dismantle big bosses. It was like small bayonetta versus skyscrapers but we still won. Jumping on their backs and destroying them piece by piece. I feel like if this is your first bayonetta game, you think it’s incredible and don’t get why people who started from the beginning or have played them all weren’t as satisfied.

That was specifically a reference to cell, from the nearly losing the beam battle to the final burst of energy via aid of a legendary character, even that final beam in space is straight from cells death

She does, for the regular summoning in the game. These big boss battles are a special summoning that takes a much heavier toll on her.

@@Caidezes Nah, they were one of the studios that helped develop Drakengard as well. Look up “Drakengard Game Developers” and you’ll see their name credited.

I'm guessing that some of these demons sin/ultimate forms are Very closely to Hideaki Kamiya's Past works and love for games like Devil May Cry (As phantom is named and has the stinger like the boss)

I get the distinct impression that Purgatorio was not used in this game after the first battle. No reason to and we see soldiers in a few realities reacting to Bayonetta's presence, and oddly the Lupinetta one was even visible to the local police.

The comunity agree that Baal Zebul´s is the one of the favorites from the new versions of the demons already known, cuz no forget, that kraken, the bat, and the train are new, the others appear in bayonetta 1 or 2

Her REAL heart is the thing on her chest, as revealed in Bayonetta 2, that is the actual heart of an umbra Witch. The demons require severe levels of magic and blood on order to achieve their ultimate forms. A high level spell that needs a catalyst, so the physical heart is the best tool to do so. It's insanely painful(obviously) and takes a severe level of skill. But as long as that thing on her chest is intact this isn't a killing technique.

@@jambon2730 Well ENOUGH external damage can kill a Witch, hence how Jeanne died taking a full on blow from Gomorrah. But the main point is ripping out a physical heart isn't enough to kill because they essentially have another heart. If that heart was crushed it's a different story.
It's a ode to japanese culture and I love it, Kamehameha from Goku and dbz, the toad from Naruto, Kaiju fights like Godzilla, sexyness and beauty Goddamn! And the opera singing like fifth element. 10/10

I'm not a huge fan of Bayonetta 3. In comparison to 1 and 2, 3 was really lacking.
That being said, I hope whoever sang and voiced Baal Zebul sleeps well every time they sleep.

Its still on her command though because its a pact for summoning their true forms. But the lore did state that its a very dangerous and forbidden ritual and Bayonetta doing it too many times made her Umbran watch cracked
