This performance is perfection. We hear the first part of the chorus develop towards crescendo ("Mass-oohh"), and then, at the same place in the second part he we expect the same, but he pulls back to this delicate airy voice (ahhh ssoo). It's beyond transcending. And that last note he holds straight for a full 10 seconds before surrendering to the vibrato. That is just unheard of. Who can blame Igor. He's enthralled watching such greatness. We would all be.
I love this song and performance. Just no words to truely express our reactions. U did really well, loved your comments. Not sure if u know re Dimash n Igo Igor is a very famous composer. He retired but on 1st hearing of Dimash, he immediately decided to come out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash's voice. The are extremely close, almost a father/son like relationship. They had soo much fun together and we did too watching them. They've done comedy sketches together too. In a nutshell, I consider this song a slow, delicious climb up his register. No hurrying... just a slow storytelling at its best. This song is a cover. Written by Igor Krutoy, it was originally sung by Alla Pugacheva Pugacheva. This performance is perfection. We hear the first part of the chorus develop towards crescendo ("Mass-oohh"), and then, at the same place in the second part he we expect the same, but he pulls back to this delicate airy voice (ahhh ssoo). It's beyond transcending. And that last note he holds straight for a full 10 seconds before surrendering to the vibrato. That is just unheard of.
Who can blame Igor. He's enthralled watching such greatness. We would all be.

Igor is a very famous composer. He retired but on 1st hearing of Dimash, he immediately decided to come out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash's voice. The are extremely close, almost a father/son like relationship.
They had soo much fun together and we did too watching them. They've done comedy sketches together too.
Dont know how things are at mo, since the war ive not seen them together or heard of any co operstive crearions. I hope igor is safe. He is a russian millionaire. So who knows.

In a nutshell, I consider this song a slow, delicious climb up his register. No hurrying... just a slow storytelling at its best. This song is a cover. Written by Igor Krutoy, it was originally sung by Alla Pugacheva Pugacheva. This performance was done at a celebration of Alla's 70th birthday and the arrangement performed by Dimash is drastically different than the original. Here is a link to Alla's version. Hi Sohum, What an awesome reaction !! I love your nice intelligent reactions and only just realised i hadn't subscribed ... just rectified that !!! This was a performance about 3 or 4 yrs ago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Igors composition of this for a female singer, who i believe is no longer with us. Since first watching this I've been of the opinion that this is a pure masterclass in how to sing and perform a beautiful song such as this. Once again apologies for not subbing sooner as I've watched all your Dimash reactions. 👍👍😊
As far as I know, Alla Pugacheva is still with us, although she’s mainly retired from performing ....

Maestro Igor Krutoy (piano) and Dimash presented the song first on Alla Pugachova's 70th birthday on April 2019. She is a famous singer in Russia. The event took place in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow.
Maestro Krutoy composed this song 28 years ago for Alla Pugacheva. Valerya Gorbacheva wrote the beautiful words. Now Igor and Dimash have refreshed the song and Dimash made it his song, incomparably beautiful. The interpretation is completely different from the original. I melt away every time I hear the song.
* Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.

Love your comments about Igor but, I’m not sure whether you’re aware that Igor never accompanies on the piano unless it’s his own composition. He revived some of his old hits for Dimash, retooling them for his voice. Then he started composing specifically for Dimash: Olympico; Passione; I Miss You; Okay; etc
