Hi Paul. Your videos are great and the perfect balance of commentary and amazing scenery. Thank you for all the effort you put in to make them. My wife and I have been walking the path over 15 summers now and have covered every section from Port Isaac to Par, so we just have the two end bits left, to Morwenstow and Cremyll. The path is my favourite place on earth and watching your videos puts me in my happy place.
Thank you Luciano. I also feel the same about the path, it always makes me happy to be back out walking beside the sea. I hope you enjoy your final few sections.
Another great video Paul, thank you. I’m afraid Par is not the nicest but you have some great coastline to go next time you’re down. Have a good winter and I will look forward to following you completing the Path in 2023!
Thanks Malcolm. I think completing it next year might be a bit ambitious. I suppose I will be able to get more done when I’m closer to home. We will see 😆
Short but sweet Paul. Really enjoyable and thank you, again, for sharing. As you may not be back on the SWCP until 2023 now seems the right time to wish you and yours: 'Seasons Greetings'. I hope your winter walks are mud free and I look forward to more of your videos next year.
That’s very kind Bryony. I hope you also have a nice Christmas. I will do a couple of videos on Dartmoor over the coming months, but if your only interested in the SWCP, hopefully I’ll be back there as soon as possible.
While I love the SWCP I have been enjoying your Dartmoor walks videos and look forward to moor (pun intended). My husband and I will be moving from Cornwall to Devon next year and are looking forward to walking on the moors; a whole new world - to borrow a phrase. It is not an area I know well so your 'leading the way' with your films is giving us an 'armchair' insight and encouraging us to follow in your footsteps. It all looks lovely; we can't wait; not sure about the boggy bits though. Thanks again.
Did have another chuckle when you said hopefully it is easy. Those steps were tough. I slipped on the cut grass on one set and pulled something in my knee and had to hobble into Pentewan and get the bus home.
Hello Paul, I very much enjoyed to watch your video's. I walked the Coastpath myself last year. I walked the whole stretch in 8 weeks. I had a great time. But I didn't make any films. So I have so much Joy of recognition when I watch your films. I admire the quality of your recording very much. Thank you so much for all the work it will have cost you. I am looking formaldehyde to the rest of your trip. All the best wishes from Holland.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 That is great! I wish you good luck and fine weather. When I see the pictures from the Coastpath I like to come back to England and walk the stretch again. But I am planning now to walk the Olav Pelgrimway in Norway. Looking forward to you new films, best wishes from Holland, Marijke Pijpker
My home stretch Paul. So very sorry I wasn't around to say hello when you were stomping along this bit. Every step of this is very familiar to me, but seeing your drone footage around Black Head was a real treat, observing it from a very different viewpoint. Fabulous stuff! Shame about the lack of benches, but one of my favourite picnic stops is down on the little unspoilt rocky cove at Hallane, between Pentewan and Black Head, where there's an impressive waterfall too .... although not as impressive as usual right now after the drought summer!! Thanks for another great video.
Thank you Sue. Is Hallane the cove just after I walked though that wooded section? I see the new section between Porthpean and Charlestown is now open, have you been to look at that yet?
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Spot on. Hallane beach is at the bottom of the steep wooded hill after you cross a wooden bridge. Rather than turning left at the path junction to continue on the SWCP, you turn right past an old cottage (Hallane Mill) and immediately drop down onto the beach. And yes, I did the new path from Charlestown on Monday. It's good to have it all open again after so long 😊
Hi Paul, Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying watching your videos. I'm having to ration myself to one or two a day and resist the urge to binge-watch! They keep me going through the winter months with memories of summers past and dreams of those to come. Cam I ask about the music? They seem to be the same artists on most of your films and I'm quite getting into them!
Hi Jeff. Thank you for the message. I think you should go crazy and just watch them all. I get the music from a site called Epidemic Sound. It’s a subscription based service which provides royalty free music. I try to use different songs to keep it fresh and to match the scenery or mood at that moment. I suppose I have a certain taste and have a preference for certain artists. If there are any in particular you want to know, let me know the video and time the song appears, I will be able to give you the artist. Thanks again.
Hi Paul. I remember that diversion last summer, thought somebody was playing a sick joke as this was the end of a long day for me. Glad to hear the section has re-opened. Erosion is an ongoing issue unfortunately. If we come back in a million years, the UK will be a small island around Birmingham! At least the coast walk will be short. Great drone footage again, hope Father Christmas is kind to me and delivers one here. Hope you have a good winter and look forward to seeing your finale early next year. Atb pal.
Hi Paul, it was a pleasure meeting you on Friday on the train. How were your couple of nights on the path? I thoroughly enjoyed my first multi-day trip on the SWCP and learnt plenty along the way. I made it from Penzance to Cot Valley on Friday and had a superb night in the tent just south of Cape Cornwall. St Ives by Saturday eve and decided to call it a day on Sunday, taking the train home from Hayle. My feet failed me with awful blisters and my backpack was far too heavy as we discussed. Will definitely be back out there soon though (with lighter kit)! Best, Miles
Hi Miles. Sounds like you were successful, that’s some distance you covered each day. I bet it looked great in the sun. I finished yesterday at Plymouth, decided not to walk today and tomorrow due to weather forecast not looking great. If you have any questions when planning your next section give me a shout. Cheers, Paul
@@pilgrimpaul7798 It was brilliant and I'll be back out there before too long! Sounds like you made the right call given the inclement weather. I'll reach out when planning my next leg. Cheers, Miles

Thank you Torunn 😊
Another beautifully filmed video and very informative for those who would like to do some of the sections of the SWCP.
Thank you Ross. I’m glad it comes across that way.

Great stuff. Well done mate 👏
Cheers Mr Waffle. Hope you are good.

Yes I seem to be a bit off with my predictions 😆
I can see how easy it would be to injure yourself out there. I hope your knee recovered.

Enjoyed the drone footage and another good few days on the SWCP!
Thanks Andrew. I was a bit braver with my drone on this video and flew a bit further out over the sea.
@@pilgrimpaul7798 Yeah nice one.... I'm new to flying my drone and know its a bit nerve racking ha!

Haha yes it might not be quite as epic a journey as the 630 miles we have now. The drone is great but I’m always scared of crashing it 🤣

And that section is now open annoyingly.
Yeah I missed it by a couple weeks.
