    I made a pair of moccasins out of 2.5mm veg tanned, they took some work but they are amazing thanks to your easy direction Tony..... These buggers will last a lifetime guaranteed.

    I just finished building my moccasins and yet ANOTHER(no duh) flawless pattern set by Tony! I used a heavier utility 4.5oz for the bottom outside sole to offer me having these to wear for a much longer time. I also got, last year, the three-pack of leather shoes/slippers from Tony which have worked out Great!
    ...now if I can just convince my cat that she needs to keep her fur out of the stitching. I'll let you know how THAT goes.

    Just made a set for the wife. I used a heavier leather, water buffalo, which is still very soft and supple. Perfect pattern, down to the last hole. Just remember, "Trust the pattern". Thanks.

    Just finished a pair, using anti fatigue mat for the internal cushion...worked great. However, I think the vamp should be wider by another 6- 8mm to allow for a wider foot.

      @@bradantin cut the fur the exact same as you would the exterior panels to form the interior panels and then trim the fur from the very edge of the interior panel to reveal enough skin to make punching and stitching easier. glue the two together, with the leather and fur sides out and the suede and hide sides toward each other. then you make the shoes like normal

    Having trouble getting all the holes to line up. Seems I am two holes off. I am ending up with a twisted moccasin. Took the sole off and reattached down one hole and got the same thing.What Im I doing wrong!!

      had the same problem,there a lot of holes by the heel very close together miss one and you have a problem. go slow make sure you get every hole

    Hi Tony. Great plan. Can you help I am trying to make a pair for my partner, but she has very wide feet ( more than your wide tongue can deal with ) I was thinking the easiest way would be to add a gusset but I don’t know how to design this

    I made a pair of moccasins for a gift, and although the length was great, the width was far from wide enough, even using the wide toe box. I think this individual has very wide feet… is there a way to adjust for this?

      Cut the regular leather and then glue the liner to the inside of the pattern and cut to fit. I was thinking about a really soft, thin leather for a lining.

    When he says trust the pattern, he means it. I was stitching the bottoms together, and the holes were not lining up. The holes were off, and I had to go way over to catch the correct hole. When I finished, they were back to being correct. I will make a few pairs before doing any pattern adjustments.

    I am having a great time with these... can anyone recommend how to tie off the string after stitching?? It looks like he burns the end but that doesn't seem secure on my test piece when I try... Making a regular knot looks like it will irritate my foot because it is too big.. any tips from anyone? Thanks in advance!!!

      Use a thicker leather for the bottom piece. 9 ounce leather will last you.

    Ok, I finished one moccasin, as recommended by Tony. It came out really well for the first one. I have smaller feet for a man, but wide. I used the 7.5 to 8 and I did measure my foot before I started. There is no way I am getting my foot into this moccasin it looks like it may fit a 7.5 to 8 womens. My wife says finish them and send them to my mother. I will have to go up a few sizes for myself. They do look great!

Apparently you are totally ignorant of ISO 19407 which specifies shoe sizes in UK, EU, US, and Mondopoint. I asked a simple question, but I don't know why Tony won't answer. Since you seem to have the plans, could post which sizes are included?

    I love your stuff. But you need to free your patterns to be able to be printed at fedex or something. Many of us do not need nor do we want to have a printer.
    I just bought the pattern…but now i cant print it because fedex doesnt print it because of the copyright. Epic fail.
    I wont be buying anymore patterns until I can print them at fedex or the library.

    Deerskin has been used for hundreds of years?? My man, moccasins are from Neolithic times and the Native Americans have been on Turtle Island for like 15,000 years. We have been using deer hides to make stitched shoes since before we were even human beings, still living in caves and trees
