Very few people do these videos without expensive machines and I am so happy we have amazing artists like you doing these videos motivating us to take up this artform
I'm waiting for my boot soles to arrive so I can start. Can't wait!! :) BTW, the video looks good, clear instructions, so I don't see any problem with making my first boots..
i've done almost all of his projects and templates. I've done the top hat, pork pie hat, police hat, aviator hat, plague doctor hat(also the mask) and steam punk goggles(small and large.) I' also did his simple masks with faux leather. Tony is pretty amazing. Anyone can literally do this! Good luck to everybody and please buy some of his patterns to keep his shop open. I have yet to make these moccasin boots and that alien mask. I also have yet to make more bags and stuff like his Dop bags and whatnot.
I loved those moccasins, I particularly like moc toe boots, such as those from the Red Wing brand, if you ever design something similar, do not hesitate to share it, thank you very much and greetings.
I have the other shoe patterns and they look great but my problem is my old busted feet are too wide for the rubber cup sole. I would love to see if you could figure out how to make these with a leather mid-sole and a stacked heel.
Do you have a recommendation for a natural sole? I would love to make these and the red pair but I don’t want to use a rubber sole. Idk if there’s a specific thick leather that would work or possibly have tread? I already have the patterns in my cart 🤗
Thank you for this new video. Very nice Tony, as always. Plese tell us what kind of solvent you use for cleaning the cement glue off the brush and other tools. I tried acetone las time but it didn't work very well. Enlighten us please
Would you happen to have a video about where to get/picking good leather to use for all of your crafts? I'm just getting into this hobby and I'm a bit uncertain where to source that particular bit of material
Hi Tony, I am so excited about these! I kept making your other mocassins and I'm obsessed with them. A question: what do you use to clean the glue brush? Is there any ideal thing you would recommend?
@@DieselpunkRo But there is another reason: After the two pieces are glued together, there is no flesh side which is exposed. The two exposed sides are both the grain side of the leather. And this is the reason that many layers call for a lining.
Tony! thanks for all your amazing work. are you planning on making this for larger feet? would love to make this for myself but im a size 13us :-( or any tips on scaling the pattern
Thank you! Do you have any suggestions on how to adjust this for a wider forefoot due to "Tailor's bunions"? E.g. do I increase leather on the tongue side or the outer edge?

Man, I really wish you made patterns for larger and wider feet. They all look so amazing!
Oh my word you make this look easy enough that *I* could do it!
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately the sizes only go up to EU 45. How might you adapt to large feet, like EU 48. Some of us are pretty big...
Have you tried blowing the pattern up on a copier?

Will do!
These look great! I'm considering using some 5 oz oil tan and adapting a backstay piece to make a true moccaboot, what are your thoughts?

acetone should help, rub vigorously with a cloth and leave to dry 15 mintes before you apply glue

I don’t have such a video yet but i always recommend the type of leather to be used for any of my patterns

acetone works but it smells :(
@DieselpunkRo okidoki, thanks! It can stink as hell as long as it gets the brush properly clean 😂
Hallo. Why you glue two layers of thinner leather insted of using one layer of thicker leather?
sometimes you dont have access to the exact type of leather you need so you use two to make one.

Hi Tony, commenting here as requested 😊
Got it!

Tkese are amazing Tony

Hello. Can you make some patterns to order? not the product itself, but the pdf pattern.
Привет бро а каким клеем пользуешься ?
Tony, the ladies size soles only go up to a US 6.5, will they be getting larger sizes like an 8 to 8.5, do you know? Thank you for your help.
the design is unisex, you can use a corresponding men size with no problems
8-8.5 in women's in 6.5-7 in mens.. so youd just get the mens size 7 sole for a 8.5 womens....
