Amazing that staff-notation (as seen around the globe) seems rarely used or encouraged in India. The modern trumpet, for instance, popularized a century ago, was always taught using staff-notation. Imagine trying to memorize lengthy speeches without ever learning to read or write; that's basically what this level of "musical instruction" is like, folks!
