I have one of these. This, plus a MAD single midpipe, and you have the perfect setup. Mine is a manual and you can blip the throttle whenever you want and make it pop.
I thought there was a rubber grommet on both sides of the battery recess area so that you didn't need to route the passenger side cables under the car.
Yes there’s also a grommet on the passenger side as well, and that option can be done too. However newer cars have a plastic grommet, and would require more work drilling both sides rather than one
Somehow, you and I keep building nearly identical cars lol. I ALSO have stock downpipes, big single midpipe, stock competition muffler. I'm definitely interested in getting a valve controller as well!
I usually leave my flaps in the open setting, even in winter. Usually I remote start the car for 3 mins, then drive off moderately and let the car warm up, as per the owners manual
The valve memory will be saved in last position even when you turn off the car which is nice. But in order to change the position the car must be started
@@sundeepm3 worth switching out my current dahler controller for the sst for the 50% option? Or does it sound very similar to stock that it wouldn’t be worth it. 100% open is just too loud
Hi I have two questions, does the original exhaust button still work in the centre console of the car or not anyone once the valve controller is installed? And can you program different modes e.g. comfort mode would have valves closed but sport mode valves opened?
Hey! The center console button, wouldn’t control the valves, it may control burbles though I’ve heard. No the modes and valves are independent of each other, so you cannot program them together.

Nice yeah I have a single midpipe as well, it’s the ideal setup!
Thanks for the discount code, just ordered mine! :)
Anytime enjoy!
I always wondered about this mod, nice video and car
Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure how much of a difference it actually made until I installed it
Very helpful video!
Thanks glad it was useful!
W vid just installed mine
Also what mid pipe
Thanks! RCTuning, just a regular single Midpipe
I appreciate the content brother! One minor feedback… I think the music is too loud could barely hear you.
Thanks man! Yeah trying to improve the audio levels and setup for future videos

awesomeness 👌
Thanks!
You're messing with my OCD showing me that bird crap on your beautiful black paint.
Lol yeah difficult to always have it cleaned

Haha awesome! Definitely a great inexpensive setup that sounds great, you should
I also have G80. Should the flaps stay closed when you cold start your car outside in the winter?
I usually leave my flaps in the open setting, even in winter. Usually I remote start the car for 3 mins, then drive off moderately and let the car warm up, as per the owners manual
Nice vid. Is your exhaust stock other than the valve controller ?
Thanks! Yeah I have a single midpipe as well
That’s Cool 🔥. Can the remote be used before a cold start? Maybe so I can hear a strong start?
The car has to be to use the remote, but I can do a video where the valves are open when starting it
@@sundeepm3 Thanks and looking forward to your video . Does the remote work before a cold start? Or does it have to be started after .

Is this stock exhaust ?
Single Midpipe
Is there a big difference in sound with valves at 50% vs 100%?
Yeah, the 50% open is more similar to a stock sound. While 100% is quite noticeable, especially with a midpipe
@ does the 50% on cold start still sound nice and deep at cold start like 100% or more raspy like the closed
@@sterlingg111 the 50% will have a deeper tone, similar to stock while 100% open will be pretty loud

100% open is just too loud
@@sterlingg111 I wouldn’t bother switching out if you already have one. I usually leave mine fully open, or fully closed if I have people in the car

Hi, can you use this mod apply to OEM setting? My G80M3 is 2022, thanks
Hi didn’t follow your question, but yes you can change the valve back to OEM or Close them as well
What I mean is, my exhaust, pips are original, can I use this mod to open the valve to improve the sound?
@@cpham5566 Yes right, this will work on Original OEM exhaust
Thanks Sundeepm3
Great video except the background music ☝️
Noted, will work on that
nice video! but your car is not nicey clean, you have bird poop in the back.
Yeah, didn’t get a chance to wash it before the video
