WOW!! 😱 That's amazing!! Isn't it crazy how much adds up in there and we don't even notice... and that's good!! I'm sure it helped out a lot with their school supplies! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I just love your spreadsheet. It's brilliant! Loved seeing you start with a combined income and it gave me good ideas for our family budget. I wish I did something like this from the beginning before we had babies. We would probably be in a much better place and would have avoided lots of money problems! Thanks for sharing, I love your videos! ox
So glad to see uploads from you again! Love your envelopes. I have a charity envelope just like your giving. Your absolutely right giving something is better then nothing. Love the layout.
Aww thank you! I am glad to be uploading again! I missed you guys!! and yes!! I completely agree with you, anything is better than nothing! And I am so glad you like the layout yay!! 😊
Bri. You’ve done a great job making cash envelopes. Have you thought about how long it will take you to get out of debt paying off debt at current rate? It may inspire you to cut a lot of the extras out of your budget to get out of debt faster. Separate absolute needs from wants. Again you’re not permanently giving wants up, just until you get to be debt free. Definitely use the cash jar for debt. 🙂
Thank you for keeping it real. For example, being honest about having to get a credit card, and about being a bit behind on your car payment. I started budgeting a few months ago, and have been very inspired by your videos. I still make mistakes here and there, and there's always room for improvement but so far so good😊
Of course! It wasn't easy telling you guys that I opened another credit card while on this journey, but it was for something I absolutely needed, and I'm just so glad you guys see that and understand that!! And I can't tell you how happy it makes me that I am able to inspire you and others, it brings pure joy to my heart, thank you for your support of myself and my channel ❤️ And yes, I still make mistakes myself, but we just have to stay focused and determined, we got this!
Welcome back! I'm so proud of you and your partner for going back to school. When you're money conscious it can be a scary decision to make but it's worth it in the long run! Good luck this Fall Bri! I love the single dollar bill jar idea. My partner and I split the leftover ones for spontaneous coffee trips, but we could probably skip them. ;)
Aw, thank you so much!! We are so very excited! This is the first time I've felt this excited about school and I'm loving it!!! Thank you for supporting myself and my channel!!
i loved my hello fresh! but only with the coupon. i found i was spending way too much each week and then having to purchase things at the grocery store on top of the price. i would recommend breaking it down, i took a recipe they sent and bought the ingredients and it turned out cheaper!
I personally think that leaving your coins or "extra" cash sit around is not a good idea because it could go towards debt right away, instead of accumulating interest. If you don't want to cash it out for debt, do it towards your classes and books for school. I really enjoy your videos!! You sound very sweet!! you should through in a vlog video with your car lol !!
I agree on the giving envelope - I think every one should be able to give something that is within their means. I do not think someone should do a 10% tithe if they are behind on bills or don't have money for gas and food. But giving $2.00 or $3.00 is better than giving nothing.
Hi there! I am doing well thank you! ☺️ and yes that is correct!! I re-deposit the money back into my account, so let's say I have two payments in the same week, I'll take those two envelopes to the bank and deposit them into my checking and pay them.
I been taking my ones and putting them in a envelope for my nephews and niece and sister for them when I'm gone so they can have something from me and one for me so they can get something to eat when I'm gone,I think I'm going to start one for my vacation to TFS ☺☺☺☺
Why is this so relaxing to watch? 🤣 I need to do something like this! How did you get started with this and where do you start when you want to do this?
We cashed in a small amount of coins and it totaled $30.00. My husband wont give our new coin jar any quarters, because he wants to save them and not turn them in. So I have started my own coin jar that I will eventually turn in and put it to my spending money. The other coin jar will go to our debt.
You do cash envelopes on all your expenses? Do you pay everything with cash or do you deposit it back in your bank before it’s due date? I’m asking because a lot of my bills are actually automatic or online payments.
From other budgeting videos which I view, it appears that Hello Fresh is not sustainable in the longer run for most budgeters as the cost adds up after awhile.
Hi there! We actually have been living together since before we started this financial journey, but we decided to join our finances due to us getting new jobs and it just being easier for my sake since I was the one who would take care of both of our finances, so it's easier to just do 2 cash envelope stuffings instead of 4, I hope this makes sense 😊
@@BudgetWithBri ah gotcha :) i think it's amazing that you trust each other enough to combine income and help each other manage finances; it speaks volumes about the relationship you have with each other. And it makes me smile every time you get to your boyfriends envelope in your cash stuffings! It's such a cute idea to put away some money from each paycheck for your loved one. I'm totally doing this for my next relationship hehe
Question...when you doing the snowball method and have several credit cards...what do you fo with the other cards that you are not tackling in the meantime? I know you are paying off the lowest amount...but what happens to the rest? Are you know paying any amount of miney on them? Do you work in a pause paymeny arrangement with the credit card company?
Hi there!! So the first time you do this system of budgeting, is the hardest. The reason is because you have to catch up to your expenses. So let's say you're starting this on the 20th of the month and you get paid the 20th. And you have rent due the first, you will need to pay the full amount for your rent right? So you don't fall behind, but also if you have enough, put another half of the payment. So if your rent is $100, you will want to put $150, $100 for this month and $50 from your first paycheck and the other $50 from your next paycheck. I hope this makes sense and thank you for watching!! ❤️
I did start saving all my ones in a Mason Jar. I have always save my change. Hopefully I save enough to buy something nice for myself. I really like how you used to do your budget, but I thing is just a matter of getting used to.
You are on the right train of thought. But skipping out on savings and putting that much money into your entertainment/fun categories. Is not recommended. The goal is 30% of your take home completely savings and or towards debt snowball.
Looking over your budget you have 400+ dollars going into spending money. While I get having fun is great. But if you are trying to knock out that debt. Imagine what a extra $400 a month for your snowball could do!
thanks for your video. So you are literally cashing the entire check from both you and your Boyfriend? Why not just leave the money in the bank for the items you have to pay for Via check or debit card? Is the rationale to see it all in front of you and to make it more painful when making silly / stupid payments?
Why don’t you split bills 50/50? Like you pay 15 one month and 10 the other? And also why do you pay one bill like HBO out of one check in stead of 50/50
Hi @BudgetWithBri I told my daughter to watch your videos and I got a text from her telling me how much she enjoyed your videos, well her exact words were I like this Bri lady, and she is going to try her hand at your budgeting systems. I just texted her after watching the new video that you had a new on up. She was so excited. Bri is it possible to can a PDF also. I would love to email you but I don't see your email address.
Valerie Seals your comment brought a huge smile to my face! I’m so glad you found it helpful, we are all on this journey together ❤️ and absolutely! Email me at budgetwithbri@gmail.com (:
It's definitely weird at first but you get used to it. Just be sure it's in a safe place where only you or your partner know where it is. You could probably get a small safe for it and put it in the closet/under the bed too.
Too much money on food. I feel like you should try to minimize that and focus more on paying debt off which includes school too but love watching these videos.
I agree, but I would rather have that money there instead of being tempted to pull from another envelope if that makes sense. And thank you for your support!! ❤️
@@BudgetWithBri what helps me is i have 2 bank accounts , one that i deposit money in to pay my bills, one that i deposit my savings in (which i don't have a card to, to even think about spending i have to go directly in the bank to pull out money and deposit which stops me from spending as well), and then the cash envolpe method.
I just “cashed in” my change jar. Had about $200 in there. Put it towards my kids back to school items.

YAY!
I’m wrapping my coins as I watch your video, so I can go on a camping trip with my girlfriends in October.
Hey bri how are you ? How do you do your bill payments ? Do you re-deposit all your money back into your bank to make the bill payment ?

I am sooooo jealous that your rent is only $500 I pay 1500😭😭 great video and so satisfying and motivational to watch!
Bbabysquared right? I live alone and it’s 1120 a month 😭😭
I know!!
How do you mail out all your bills? Do you deposit all the cash into the bank and use checks? Or do u buy money orders?
Subscribing specifically because of the giving envelope. Kudos to you! So glad you have that and shared it.
Awww haha thank you! Yes! I feel like we should all have a giving envelope, even if it's a couple of dollars (: thank you for watching!! ❤️

Nice to see you on here again !!! Out of curiosity , what careers are you and you bf pursuing? Looking forward to your next upload :)
Would be a huge boost to use your dollar jar towards school or the bills you are behind on! Looks like it's getting full!! ❤️
Use the $1 jar for vacation/travel a nice quick getaway is always fun!
I like this idea!
Happy to see you post again!!! 😁

It’s brave of you and your bf to join your expenses😳

Can I get a pdf? I guess I’ll look for your email below?......lol
Hello I’m new to this channel. When you stuff all your envelope do you just put the money back into your acc to actually pay the bill ?
Bri you should make a envelope for your debt snowball money! Just a suggestion also a deposit envelope!

Nice!
With Chase, do they take a dollar out of every transaction?
No they do not!
So do you take everything out and put back the cash you need into your bank account for online payments orrrr I’m confused
Your change and one dollar bills should go into your retirement. Everyone needs to start saving early. 😊
is there any way to get a template of your budget sheet ?
Where’s the link to your Etsy shop?
