Interesting. I'm not a Tubes aficionado. Didn't know that. 1st time seeing them last night and really enjoyed it. Will post another 1 or 2 videos in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for watching and for commenting. Stay tuned...
@@GooseODI wouldn't doubt you. That was 40 years ago when the band was at the height of their career. I'm just glad I got to see them perform while they're still around.
@@GooseOD 3's a boatload! Almost every band from the 1970's (actually add the early 80's for that matter) has no more than 2 original members these days.
Originally sung by Bill Sputnik Spooner the flying V guitarist who left the Tubes in 1989. Bill still lives in the bay area. Bills son Boone recently recorded an album with Bill singing and playing on it.
Fee, one of the best, human, musicians, love those guys. Not a full blown gig with pa and all, just saying. Saw them for free when Spokane allowed them to return @ Pig Out In The Park, which is still free. They had been banded previously. Listening to their first album again right now. Too good, man.

I knew that best lead vocals by Bill ''Sputnik'' Spooner and they can't be surpassed. Though Roger Steen's Guitar Solo so surpasses Bill's on the studio and even the older 1981 and after live versions till 1985.

''The Completion Backward Principle'' was 1981 Fee is mistaken 1980 was slated to be the last A&M Record called ''The Black Album'' a.k.a. ''Suffer For Sound''.
Interesting. Didn't know that either. All of these recent comments on my TUBES videos are encouraging me to upload another. Watch for it! Thanks for watching and for commenting, Dave.
I went to school in Castro Valley with Dave Medd the keyboard player here. I reached out to him on social media once but guess he's too much of a big-shot now....
Video had its bumps. However, I always enjoy hearing the stories the bands tell instead of just going from song to song. And the 3-minute Roger Steen guitar 🎸 solo took me by surprise. Thumbs up for me!
Very hard song to sing with an aging voice (and no where to hide as the lead vocals carry it and it just gets higher in pitch) but did pretty well compared to other similar aging performers singing easier songs. Also he stuck with the original tempo rather than copping out (again like others) and speaking the lyrics when it got hard. Great guitar work too! I’m from Australia and this song got stuck in my head (in a good way) as a little kid!
❤ Fee Waybill, and Prairie Prince❣️
Thank you for sharing this.😊
Touching introduction, to his audience.
🎄 Merry Christmas. ☃️
My pleasure! Will upload another song from this concert later on during the week. Stay tuned...
Roger Steen too!
