  • Greetings everyone! I hope you found this video informative as well as entertaining. I am trying to build an amazing community of people through my videos and create a variety of videos concerning PC games as well as much more.
Please be sure to check out the updated version of this video here:
    • Minecraft Real-Time Hi...
Why of course, the beloved Minecraft! I've been playing it since launch and I find it truly beautiful, relaxing and nostalgic to this day, henceforth I decided to benchmark it and upload it on my channel.
It appears the CPU usage while playing Minecraft is much higher, especially in comparison with the GPU usage. If anybody knows any sort of optimizations I can do in this regard, I am open to suggestions.
The stuttering is caused by the rendering of space and the fast movement, but if the game is played at its normal pace, the experience is quite smooth and enjoyable. The version of the game is the latest as of right now - 1.20.6
I recorded the video on my personal computer, which has the following specs:
    ►Intel Core I5 10400 @4.0GHz
►16GB of Patriot Viper Elite Grey 2666MHz CL16 (Dual Channel)
    ►Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7800 XT Overclocked
    ►ASRock B460 Pro4 MotherBoard
    ►Corsair TX650M 80+ Gold PSU
    ►1TB Seagate BarraCuda 120 SSD
    ►240GB ADATA 650SU SSD
    ►128GB Kingston SSD
►1TB Western Digital Blue 7200 RPM HDD
►Arctic AC Freezer 34 CPU Cooler and Arctic BioniX case fans
If you have any comments or suggestions for future videos, I am very excited to read them. Please let me know if you would also like more specific benchmarks, reviews or gameplays for any of your preferred games.

    Bottleneck?

Definitely, his GPU is WAY more powerful than his CPU

I assumed as much and I'm thinking of upgrading. However I did notice the bottleneck isn't exactly present in other games. Minecraft seems to be placing a lot of demand on my CPU, possibly because of OGL? Not sure, as I don't know enough.

@@SyntheticallyAnalytical Notch coded Minecraft terribly, so it puts a TON of focus on the CPU. My setup (7800x3d and 7800XT) runs all games at max graphics at 1080p, but when it comes to minecraft it lags at max graphics, and that's because it doesn't leverage my great GPU enough.
Some things to look for when shopping for a new CPU for minecraft: SINGLE CORE PERFORMANCE is definitely the most important thing, as minecraft depends a lot upon single threads. You'll want high clock speeds along with decent L3 cache as well.

@Soarah14 Certainly. I am going to upload an updated benchmark since I have made some significant system updates recently! I appreciate your comment!

Gonna have a new upload coming up with the freshly upgraded system. It's more of a Mojang problem, since there wasn't any bottleneck between the two in triple A titles. I tried the Minecraft Microsoft Edition which places correct empashis on the GPU.
