From what I've been able to see...I'm not the only person experiencing this issue...even with the most recent BIOS with the fixed microcode. I have been using the CPU for over 5 months now and no stability issues whatsoever, even with my lower end air cooling solution (thinking of upgrading to AIO).

Hey John! Got into the game again and here is the change from the actual latest microcode update, not the one that was initially launched in August. It seems the game either isn't as demanding after 6 years since its launch or my previous CPU (i5-10400) is clearly holding back the RX 7800 XT. I will repost this benchmark with my newly upgraded setup. I need to do some editing to the preexisting footage and upload the results. Also...cranking up the Resolution Scaling can max out the GPU usage with no performance loss (I think it was an increase actually) - so going from x1.0 to x1.5 res. scaling for example.

Gonna have a new upload coming up with the freshly upgraded system. It's more of a Mojang problem, since there wasn't any bottleneck between the two in triple A titles. I tried the Minecraft Microsoft Edition which places correct empashis on the GPU.

AMD has never been good for Bohemia games.

Dude seriously get a better cpu. You spent 700 bucks on a gpu and just over 200 on a cpu.

Dayz is very cpu demanding that's probably why you are struggling

I assumed as much and I'm thinking of upgrading. However I did notice the bottleneck isn't exactly present in other games. Minecraft seems to be placing a lot of demand on my CPU, possibly because of OGL? Not sure, as I don't know enough.

@@SyntheticallyAnalytical Notch coded Minecraft terribly, so it puts a TON of focus on the CPU. My setup (7800x3d and 7800XT) runs all games at max graphics at 1080p, but when it comes to minecraft it lags at max graphics, and that's because it doesn't leverage my great GPU enough. Some things to look for when shopping for a new CPU for minecraft: SINGLE CORE PERFORMANCE is definitely the most important thing, as minecraft depends a lot upon single threads. You'll want high clock speeds along with decent L3 cache as well.

I specifically took rx 7800xt for Dayz recently and as I regretted it, I saw that the grass textures are pixelated and not how not to fix it, and the speed has not increased much, on my old gtx 1080 the speed was from 60 to 120 with drawdowns up to 40, and at the same time with the grass everything was fine, and on this map the speed is from 80 to 190 with drawdowns up to 60 but terrible grass, the money I spent was not worth the result that I saw in Dayz, I haven't played other games yet.

do you play it at 1440p resolution?

You can fix the pixelated grass by turning off foliage smoothing the setting has issues with AMD​@@PsevdoyaTV
