Lovely review! Sorry Im coming in a bit late, but I've been looking into getting some Montale and Mancera fragrance so went looking for review videos. Am just a little concerned about overlap. SO- I have a few questions- 1) how similar are (or not) Sensual Instinct and Instant Crush? 2) best 3 fragrances from each house that in your opinion are best unisex or feminine leaning? 3) I have Franck Olivier's Oud Vanille- what Mancera/Montale fragrances are similar to that fragrance? I don't want to buy something that might replicate that fragrance.

The reason the Montale bottle/tin is not full is because originally when you went into the shop in Paris or ordered online you could choose to add concentrated fragrance to the bottle to make the fragrance more intense. The stopped doing this for online shopping years ago but it was still available in the shop until five or six years ago.
A fantastic overview Matt. Just watched Deliverance again and had to chuckle when you referenced Burt Reynolds - the tough bloke who kills a hillbilly and ends up breaking his leg. 😂 Now forever associated with Aoud Musk.
Great video again matt. I have about 50 bottles of different fragrances and a couple of mancera.. Cedrat noise and kumkat wood, but I can't bring myself to buy montale. I hate the bottles!!!
Small montales are 50 ml not 60 ml. Nonetheless great video as usual! Love both houses and are one of my go to niche houses Keep up the good work :) Cheers from Switzerland
Great to see your choices. I’m always a bit overwhelmed by them all. I’ve been googling them a lots lately. I have white aoud 😍😍😍red aoud 😍😍😍, aoud melody😍, and aoud vanille 😍😍😍. Sold aoud lime- not for me. Want more of them! Hate the montage packaging with the pinging off of the atomiser all the bloody time. Crap in a handbag too (not that I should need a top up.)Grrrr
Be Good To Yourself oh gosh I have barely tried any, but would suggest the red aoud. It seems to be on lots of lists and has lots of love. It has an almost wheat biscuity thing going on and is delicious.

I think there maybe a slight problem with your caps lock buddy. Both are very strong and I wouldn't like to say , both incredibly long lasting and have huge projection and sillage
I have red vetiver (own only 1 Montale) instant crush royal vanilla black gold aoud lemon mint cedrat boise pearl wind wood black to black wild leather aoud vanille and red tobacco....all are good except instant crush as it does nothing on my skin
@@QuestioningScents aoud lemon mint or wind wood. There is something in these br540 like fragrances that just doesn't work on me... Thomas kosmala apres no4 is the same, smells of nothing.
@@neilroyal6814 ah you have 2019 batch, wow, then thats weird. i heard some guys saying they have problems with newer 2020 batches (probably reformulated, not sure yet)
I know you're so gonna "unfriend" me 🤣 I've not tried many, only Back to Black of that lot. Not even tried the very famous one 🙊 i know i know.... Call myself a frag head 😜 but its a whole house(s) to explore at some point. Great video mate 🙂
Old git and young thrusters.... you think your an old git, but I think I'm an old thruster! 😂 I have 10 Mancera and 5 Montale. I read that the Montale bottles are made to resemble the bottles perfumers keep their essential oils in, and are actually better for the fragrance because they don't allow light in. That being said, I like the Mancera bottles better too! I guess I'm just a silly Westerner! 😂

I love the perfume but the bottles are not great for me at all sadly

Haven't bought anything by Mancera , cause it is too synthetic to me. I like a lot Montale, therefore I have few perfumes by Montale.
