I was there on the other side of this dividing line i e on india occupied Kashmir side in late September 2015 along with friends. Believe me the yearning for brothers on Pakistani side is deeper and wider. We wanted to swim across the Neelum river and touch the soil of our motherland on the other side but........ We could see that Azad Kashmir has better roads, less military footprint, better houses and obviously better civilian -military liaison. We went to the farthest point where a village Seemari is located and from a middle school building kept gazing at the road on the other side that we were told leads to Athmuqam. As a resident of India occupied Kashmir, I can tell you we love our brothers on the other side much and long for a day when we will be free from brutal indian occupation. long live Kashmir!
