- About the Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Ferdinand - German Heavy Tank Destroyer:
In early 1941, German companies Porsche and Henschel were asked to design a 45-ton tank for the new Tiger project. By the time Porsche lost the design contest to Henschel, they had already manufactured 100 Tiger chassis. Unable to equip these existing chassis with the Krupp Tiger turret (they were reserved for Henschel), Porsche proposed they be converted into a tank destroyer.
The result was a massive vehicle both heavier and longer than the Tiger. Named the Ferdinand after the founder of Porsche, this behemoth was equipped with the PaK 43/2 L/71 88mm cannon, a longer version of the 88mm cannon fitted to the Tiger. Although powerful, the size of the Ferdinand created a host of problems, including slow speed and mechanical breakdowns. The vehicle also lacked a machine gun and adequate vision ports, making it susceptible to infantry armed with anti-tank weapons and Molotov cocktails.

Conversion kit would sell this to me, if they don't make a separate kit for it. Just needs tan tiger 1 turret, rear and deck changes.
Heck, if you slope the front and change the casemate to a tiger 2 turret on the rear, you'd essentially have one of the VK45.02(P) designs. Or place the turret on the front and remodel the rear for the alternate version.
But really. Holy yes to the Tiger P. (Especially the command tank)

Ferdinand was a timebomb with treads. Slight slopes and any stress on the engines would cause them to explode

By the way, this tank was awefully known for its non reliability due To the engine problem. Actually most of them were destroyed because of this, but only a few model were produced so It wasn't that bad since it was a failed model. There was a report after an engagement with those tanks that show that around 20-30% (I'm being optimistic) survived after it, only a few were actually took out by enemy fire.

I love it! That camo was so cool and I think you should do it with other tanks. I just wish I could afford one. It would be cool if you made a tan Tiger 1 and added the stickers

Who else thinks that they should make a Tiger (P) out of another tank kit using the bottom hull and just add the Tiger (P) turret on them?
Very very nice design and I like it alot. Good job! On the sticker pack, I like how it look but will prefer the camo patterns to be recreated with dark green tiles bricks instead. Yes, tiles will never achieve the intricate patterns but it keep this tank Lego. If I want accuracy, I'd go for a model kit. Guys, while striving for design accuracy, do still keep it as Lego as it can be :)
That's precisely why the stickers and muzzle brake are an add-on pack. But if you want dark green tiles, you'll have to provide your own!

P.S Ferdinand Porsche actually designed this to serve as self propelled gun but Hitler preferred it to be a tank destroyer so the Russians could now who their messing with

The Hull for these tanks was originally ment for the Porsche Tiger, about that, can you make a Porsche tiger kit?

(If you are looking into motorized models I am working on a Tiger II right now with 3 motorized functions.)

Awesome!!!! i love this kit! the only problem is the Ferdinand was one of the worst designed tanks the Germans constructed during the war and most destroyed themselves at Kursk. So most MOC's will be filled with these knocked out lol

Great kit and all but the Ferdinand/elephant inspiring the Merkava? Seriously? Not the successful vehicles like several IFVs like Warrior or M3 or several Soviet tank destroyer designs?
Not sure where you get that information but saying that a failure as big as this vehicle inspired a modern MBT is a pretty big stretch

Well basicaly this tank can kill tanks but this tank is completely unreliable they keep up armoring this tank but they never change or upgrade the engine so the weight of the tank will just kill itself and it will mostly be overun by ground troops because it dosent have any other defense that the 88m gun so yea like the kit tho

Not a fan of the stickers. To me it makes the Ferdinand look like a model of one of the clone brands, I rather see brick-built camouflage.
