Dominoes Climb this Wall! | Upwall 2.0 Domino Trick Tutorial

  • Hi there! Here's a tutorial for the ideal Upwall! In this version, you can make a large-scale wall that's rectangular and not a pyramid! The mechanism used in this trick does take some practice and be careful as usual as to not set off the trick. This is a long one, so grab some popcorn (or maybe some dominoes) and follow along! If half an hour is too long and you learn just by watching, stay tuned for a buildthrough of Upwall 2.0 in an 11-minute video! Thanks for watching!

    Do you need specific dominoes to make it? It didn’t work for me 😢

    • @22DOMINOES22
      @22DOMINOES22  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes, I developed this trick with "professional" dominoes, the kind you can get from Mr.Domino, Maria Lamping, bulk dominoes.com, etc. The new Hevesh5-brand dominoes are slightly thicker, but I think those would work, too

  • @LeonMaxton
    @LeonMaxton 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Did you edit where the dominoes on the table disappeared when you got ready for the wall tutorial?

    • @22DOMINOES22
      @22DOMINOES22  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did! It happened at 2:22. You can type the comma (,) button to move the video back a frame and period (.) button to move forward a frame to find the break in the editing

  • @LeonMaxton
    @LeonMaxton 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I know how to tell a thickness of a domino just take a domino and take it’s side and measure

    • @22DOMINOES22
      @22DOMINOES22  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, you can do that pretty much, but I tend to just eye-ball it

    I have some wooden dominoes (BTW: are wooden or plastic better?) but they seem to be too short for this trick. The basic version (~1:00) works fine. But when extending it to a longer one (~21:11) it no longer works. My pieces seem to be too short and the green ones do not even touch the orange one if there will be some light between dark blue floor and light blue moving one. Any advice how to work around it? What other upwall mechanisms would you advice? Also it might be reasonable to mention in the description required dimensions of the pieces for the trick to work.

      You can get professional dominoes that are the right size from Bulk dominoes.com I hope this helps:)

      Adam Badura Sorry for the late reply! To add a little more info, bulkdominoes, lamping dominoes and Mr.domino dominoes are .75 by 2.4 by 4.8 or roughly 1 by 3 by 6

  • @pauls5745
    @pauls5745 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    but so many pieces wasted just for support and can't be counted for # of falling dominoes. it's ok in most to use supports to speed up assembly

    • @22DOMINOES22
      @22DOMINOES22  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure, that's why I tried to topple the whole wall at 35:25 so the supports are not _entirely_ wasteful

      @22DOMINOES22  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bpdolesdominoes I agree. It should work with a much wider wall than shown here. I'm trying to develop a third version, though it might take a long while! Thanks for commenting!

    Hi! I haven't been posting as often and there's a good reason for it: I'm making an app! I need some help from you guys in developing it if you won't mind. I have a survey to ask for your thoughts on it. Thanks ahead of time! -22DOMINOES22 docs.google.com/forms/d/1u7qFP1XikMBSMyUuZiNMp8uEvUwcFaRzZOz_W1MJ5jw/viewform
