CPE Bach’s music demands one’s attention, and, regardless the instruments it’s played on, contemporary or period, retains all of its power, ingenuity and brilliance, provided it’s played by consummate musicians, like it is here. My compliments to the performers, who certainly brought out the contrast and vivacious nature of the music in a live performance. Ms. Injushina’s performance stands out with her pearly yet light, tight rhythm and airy touch. Impressive at all levels and extremely enjoyable.

An innovator and experimenter, C.P.E. Bach wrote for a variety of keyboard types during the transitional mid-18th century. As pianist Anastasia Injushina says, it is not fair to such incredible music for it to go into shadow simply because of instrumental development. Her playing, exuberant yet tender, keeps alive the spirit of the music, which is what counts.

Cette musique fait rêver, et la merveilleuse pianiste n'en parlons pas, on tombe tout de suite amoureux ! CPE BACH serait sous le charme ( on peut rêver) !

Very sprightly concerto. Drawn to the slow movement with its inimitable style. Wonderful pianist.

Neat performance by Russian pianist Anastasia Injushina and the Hamburger Camerata which highlights both the unpredictable dynamics and the 'sensitive style' of C.P.E.Bach's music.

Tempestade e ímpeto, uma irá que se desloca dos instrumentos para os nossos ouvidos, bela peça!

This is absolutely wonderful. They should do the entire series. It is no travesty. They play his father's music on the piano all the time, and it has its advantages such as greater clarity of sound. Call it a transcription if you will. Whatever. But CPE Bach certainly deserves more than being just the specialty of period ensembles, much as i enjoy their performances.

I think they should record ALL the keyboard concertos by CPE Bach including the 2 keyboard one.I don't mind playing the second harpsichord/piano.

L'ensemble de concertos de CPE au piano sont des bijoux en revanche il faut choisir les interprètes et la qualité de l'enregistrement. Celui-ci est pas terrible pour le piano !

I like it that it has the Bach like music but in a kind of classic version. Very interesting what his son made of his music.

This was written for Hapsicord and not for the modern piano.

Really strange to hear C.P.E. Bach performed on modern instruments; lots of his character and idiosyncrasies are kind of lost or muddled.
It was still very well performed, though. Interesting to hear it from a different perspective.

A very perceptive comment; additionally, the modern piano playing basso continuo absolutely does not work.

I'm a great CPE fan and I especially love his nervous energy, Sturm und Drang and Empfindsamkeit, but the opening part tempo of Madame Insushina sounds like a caricature in my ears ...

L'orchestre et la pianiste ne s'écoutent pas assez. De manière générale, le piano moderne ne semble pas convenir à ce concerto même si CPE Bach l'a écrit pour "klavier" sans autres précisions ...

To be played on a piano? Absolutely disgraceful. I can hear the dissonance between the piano (tuned to A=440) and the orchestra (baroque tuning, I'm guessing A=415 or 420)

nor do I enjoy listening to this played on a piano, neither piano forte nor fortepiano. it was composed for the harpsichord. it is travesty to play it on anything else.

    • @juerbert1
      @juerbert1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The harpsichord is a weak instrument, you'd have to amplify its sound to make it viable in a large hall !
