You didn't mention Lamnium- I've had great luck with that, although I need to watch some varieties to not take over! I really love the chartreuse one I have.
A candidate for a shade garden: Geranium maculatum -- a perennial. Columbines and Bleeding hearts will grow in dappled shade. Phlox divaricata (woodland phlox) will also grow in dappled shade.

I just moved and I can’t get over the person who designed the apartment complex. Zero sunlight 😡 not even in my small patio. Who hates plants so much? 🤦🏻♀️ I’ll try some new plants. TFS 🙏

Why do they keep filming him talking to the other camera, not straight on? I find it very annoying. What he said IS meant for the viewer, isn't it? So why not speak TO them?

Do you like a shade garden? those are so beautiful.
Will the strawberry begonia come back year after year in the shade?
What was pictured as strawberry begonia was in fact impatiens.
That’s impatiens not begonia - begonias are usually annuals
For anyone who is interested, here's another list for schade-loving perennials:

Can I grow roses in a little sun area .. shady area ?
Yes, particularly Knockout roses
Anyone watching this currently - in many areas Vinca Minor is now listed as invasive.
Here in Ontario Vinca is well behaved as a ground cover. But like all ground covers they all have to be watched and kept in check .
Yes, I have just removed a bunch of it.
With trees you get DRY SHADE. a lot of those shade tolerant plants want consistent moisture
Maybe. I have a wooded corner of my yard that floods in heavy rain, and is powder dry July- Sept.
That looked like impatiens rather than begonias
Exactly what I thought. That was not a strawberry begonia.
I wish the name of the plants were listed as he named them, didnt help much.

This was probably made for his PBS show and a friend filmed this for his personal use. Maybe?
Agreed.
I hate the shade 😐. The devil gardens in the shade.

deep, dark shade too close to your house is not healthy and it has this bad, depressing energy.
