We are so pleased with this project. Thank you for sharing a bit of the journey with us. Mr Bear aka Daisy and the owl currently named Pizza are truly loved. 😊❤
Incredible, I am going to run out of complimentary words it is just amazing. Watching these are therapeutic and I can't thank you enough ☺️ This is now my favorite channel ❤️
I know you've only been chainsaw carving for a short time but it's clear you've been an artist for a long time! Your artistic vision and skills have clearly carried over naturally to carving! I really admire how you just marched right up those stumps and whittled those guys to life 😃.
Thank you so much! I think I'm expressing years of pent up art because I have always been artsy but never had time to actually do any art other then doodle on the side of my notes throughout college 😂
Awesome craftswomanship!, and artistry Tay! Be proud girl! Congrats on your first off site carvings! Many more in the future for you! Stay safe. You thanked all of us for watching.. I thank you for all your efforts and work, editing for us and taking your time for us. Hugs to Nami…. 👍👍👍👍👍
We can thank one another 😂 Thank you for acknowledging the amount of work it takes to get these vids out though 💛💛💛 I have a big video coming up, you will know what I’m talking about when you see it 😉
Those wood borers are called witchetty grubs in Australia and are quite the delicacy with our aboriginal first nation people. A good source of protein I imagine , (I say imagine as I ain't never gonna eat them).
Amazing job! Been waiting for you to do a new video 😊 Love the way the bear sits inside the log with his little bum sticking out 😂So much extra detail on both of these carvings, 10/10 😁 Cant wait for the next vid! 🥳
Aww thanks! Happy to answer any questions you have regarding chaps! I always prefer the class A over the class B, having that extra protection is priceless!
Well...since you offered...do you know the difference between yardmaris the technical version vs non-technical erosion of chaps (class A)? I've looked all over their site and even messaged them. Haven't heard back yet.
Hi TayMarie again getting better and better your progression is going by leaps and bounds. Really nice to see someone who enjoys their work . When you have that going for you it doesn't feel like a job enjoy it and work safe and smart. Thanks for sharing.
That was Crazy Cool TayMarie! Terrific carvings as usual, both of them. Fantastic first on site carvings! I’m sure more will come after this! The bear was TayMarie style all the way and the owl what a surprise was so difficult to me. Unbelievable! Your painting is so excellent, really brings your carvings to life, but the ones all natural are some of my favorites too! Loved this vlog, loved the soft case chainsaw bag, pretty handy, everything outstanding in every way Tay! 👍🏻😊 ❤️
Enjoy watching your videos and listening to your calming voice. The owl was excellent and like to learn from other carvers. Must have been a little nervous doing a on cite carving, I would be. Keep on carving.
Was definitely different, makes you appreciate having your shop…even if it’s just 11x11 shack 😝 There is so much to carving, if you forget just one thing it can be devastating! It’s the little things like the scrench, the right size wrenches to switch out the die grinder burrs, files, spare chains incase own shapes or hits metal in the log, the right colored paints, etc. If you forget anything it could cost you the whole day!
Hehehe that one will be out soon enough! 😉The completed 10’ monster log just made it to Canada last weekend! I’m super excited to share that one, it was a feat!
TayMarie, Would you be able to tell me what bit you used to work around the owl's eyes? I believe, in another video, you said it was a dovetail bit that you used for face fur and such. I've been carving for a short time...just trying to see what works best. That huge Grizzly was incredible! Awesome work.
Thank you! I used a Manpa eye cutter on my die grinder to cut in the eye and then used the edge of a cylinder burr to dig in to make the texture around the face area. A dovetail would work as well, just need an edge to gouge out a V in the wood if that makes sense! :)
You did very well on your first on site job. Especially if the weather was good and your client was pleased. You’re going to be very successful, though it would be nice if you had some help with your equipment.
Love the string picking songs for this video. Also saw you using a corded Dremel. Do you plug in at the clients or do you run a generator? Beautiful carves.
So the timber oil helps with most of this with its strong mildew resistance! The carvings can also be cut from the stump/roots at a later date and even moved, but for now the customers gets to enjoy them looking as natural as possible!
I hope so! Since I do mostly commission work at the moment I’m at the mercy of what’s ordered! Trying to poke a previous customer to let me do a big cat from him though so I’ll keep working on it haha!
I’m not very good at pricing my work lol! Out of the respect for the customer I won’t say exactly how much but this one and a half day job was under $1000 👍🏻
We are so pleased with this project. Thank you for sharing a bit of the journey with us. Mr Bear aka Daisy and the owl currently named Pizza are truly loved. 😊❤
PIZZA! Wow I love that, was that your daughter’s creative naming? 😂💛 Daisy and Pizza are in great hands, enjoy them!
Yes. She came up with pizza
@@TayMarie23she named the owl sugar pizza 😂
Leave it to the imagination of a 3 year old! Couldn’t think of a better name then Sugar Pizza 🤣💛
Running out of words to describe the work: stunning, amazing, wondrous...that bear looks like he wants to speak.
This was a cute project with great clients! The bear does look like he wants to share a few words 😂
Amazing work! The top of the owl tree is really cool. And I love the bear bum
The bear butts are just too cute not to add 😂
Incredible, I am going to run out of complimentary words it is just amazing. Watching these are therapeutic and I can't thank you enough ☺️ This is now my favorite channel ❤️

Tay, lots of talent in both carving n art! The owl is really realistic n the bear is a laugh with the butt showing! Great jobs
I always show their little butts when the customers let me 😂 They just add a funny charm!

The chickens love them 😂
Aussies call chickens chooks. I know, we’re a strange breed.
Good work

I love making the little bums hahaha! A wise carver friend of mine once said “as long as the bear has a cute face, feet, and butt…it will sell” 😂
You're a badass! I bet those carvings will outlast even that house! Quality work!
If maintained well carvings can last 150 years or more! (At least that’s what google says lol) It was a fun project!
Impressive, very nice work!
Thank you! Cheers! 😊
work is great. I wish I could try the feeling of carving right in the middle of nature like that!!! 😘😘😘😘😘
It’s the absolute best! Even in the winter I usually end up carving outside!
@@TayMarie23 That's great, an open space good for creativity. Your work is very beautiful

Ryan beware .she is talented.awesome wow
😂😂😂 there is nothing but friendly competition in the carving community! I’m sure I’ll meet Ryan one day, he is a cool dude!
Love the string picking songs for this video. Also saw you using a corded Dremel. Do you plug in at the clients or do you run a generator? Beautiful carves.
I plug in at the customers home! I even used their extension cord so I didn’t have to bring my 150’ 10 gauge one I use down at my carving shed!
@@TayMarie23 Thanks Tay.
How did you get the owl eyes so glassy?
Very nice job. How do you prevent the stump from going moldy? The capillaries are still pumping water, aren‘t they?
So the timber oil helps with most of this with its strong mildew resistance! The carvings can also be cut from the stump/roots at a later date and even moved, but for now the customers gets to enjoy them looking as natural as possible!
^^Thanks. Greetings from Germany.@@TayMarie23
Question please. Are there any Jungle Big Cats in the future? Pure Art.

I want to know what kind of tree? Thank you
The bear was an Easter white pine and the owl was some sort of Maple, possibly Silver Maple!
