When my son was 5 years old and it was his first Birthday Party since starting school I invited the whole class. At that age I didnt want him to leave any child out. He is 32 now, and a very considerate person.

I don’t think it’s always a case of being excluded’. Have you ever paid for a kids party at one of those places?! It adds up and we can’t all afford to pay for everyone! I always gave my kids the choice of who to invite & I told them how many kids they can invite. It’s at least £10 per child or more. A 4 year old isn’t as bothered about it as much as the parent…guaranteed. If it was my child I don’t think I’d be affected so much as to want to confront the other parent. Come on! Kids have to understand how it is so don’t make a big fuss and teach your child how life works 😊
