Girl. you are a whole blessing !! like everyone else, I am too relieved to see someone with my hair texture + length. The transparency is so needed. Thank You!
Hello all my Fellow friends and family !! I know its been a while, I'll be dropping an updated video in the next two weeks, please stand by (: and thank you for your patients !!
Thank u for your honesty and being transparent. I started mine yesterday with 4c, shorter then yours when you started AND edges that just aren’t coming back from too tight braids. Thank u love!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching, I want to make sure I keep it 100% with you all on this channel :) I would like to do a update on my edges soon, hopefully what I found can work for you to, as you can see I have been struggling with this for some time now.
Thank you @brianasmith for being truthful and honest with showing us your hair progress. I really enjoyed your video! I encouraged me to go ahead and get my sisterlocs. Lol im excited to beginthis hair journey! Please continue to show more videos. Again, thanks for your time and help with showing us the process of growing sisterlocs.
This is *exactly* the reference I needed! Same length, same hair texture as me. Thank you - your hair looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing more updates on your journey.
Glad I came across your channel. I get my installed on September 16th. I have the same hair type. I’m excited to get them, but have been a little nervous about the shrinkage part. This makes me more confident. Your hair is gorgeous.
This is a very informative true to form video I have been considering sister locks for the better part of 2 yrs and about to take the plunge Extremely grateful for the stages and respective transition images and narration you have provided as I have been wondering what to expect Thank you my questions have been more or less answered … keep up the good work
So I went down the sisterlock rabbit hole and came across your channel. Thanks for sharing your journey. You are so beautiful and your hair looks awesome.💜
Thank you for taking the time and effort to document your sisterlocks journey. My hair is 4c loose curl as well, not as short as you as when you started out, and I also relate to the dryness! I will for sure be sisterlocked before the year is out. Thank you again for this video, I'm looking forward to more. You are very beautiful xx
Thank you for sharing! I have decided to the locks, but my hairstylist recommendation was “sister locks.” So I am excited because of your video transparency. I have been natural for over a year or more now. I can relate to the braiding styles that has reck havoc on my edges. So, by mid-May or early June I will be a “sister lock sista. I my occupation consist of me being on the road constantly. So I looking forward to new look, new growth, and manageability. Thank you for the transparency!
NEW subscriber! Bri, beautiful Sis - thanks for this! What I needed at the time I need it. My hair is your hair plus another “C” lol! Perhaps a bit longer and I got you by several more years😉; but this channel has helped me have an idea of what I’ll be working with after installment, 2 days away!😊💪🏽
I want some so bad, my hair is short in some areas, longer in different areas.. lol I really have no clue as to what hair texture I have, but I'm looking for someone to install mine for a reasonable price honestly, but thanks for this video it was very helpful in debt.. your locks are beautiful and so are you..
Blessings sis. Just came across your site. I have had Sista locs now going on 4 years as of March past. I started off with a Mohawk n barely had no sides. But length down center of Mohawk. Now my Sista locs r past the middle of bra strap in back. For your bald spot alternate with aloe Vera juice mixed with water spray n massage that area n scalp also if u want. Use fresh rosemary spray in that area as well periodically or use just one of those I mentioned. Consistency is the key. I retighten every six weeks n color every six weeks as well. My sistaLocs r blonde. Blessings on your journey and lmk how usage of aloe juice n water spray does on that spot or the rosemary. I use carols daughters hair care products and I also add some organic rosemary oil in my shampoo. God Bless🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒
If you haven’t cut then yet, wait until you have some growth. I transitioned from TL to SL and used conditioner to soften/ pick out my TL. It is lovely, best choice I made.
So happy that someone posted locs with very short hair like mines. Get tired of hearing someone say very short hair can't be loced...I knew it wasn't true. As long as u can gripped it. Thank u so much for this video. I just want to ask u how did u start out, interlocking?
Great video! Can you share how you colored your hair before you locked it. Is that permanent dye or a rinse? I’m thinking about getting Sisterlocks but would like color beforehand and not sure how to do it.
Castor oil is known to regrow hair, eye brows, and eye lashes. I had three bald spots and the hair has grown back in. I use a lot of oils but this is a good Ayurvedic medicine for hair. Mahabhringaraj oil Also learning your hair porosity and texture is important. I have 4C hair, high porosity fine strand, so I use oils to care for my hair and I follow the LOC method to seal in the oil. I hope this helps. I really am excited about melanated women learning to care for their hair. I think it is essential to working out and maintaining good health. Anyway, I hope this helps 😋
Thank You so much ! my hair is the same. I never had to care for my natural hair, because I always wore weaves and braids. this is for sure a new journey for me. I will definitly look up the loc method and keep you posted !
I’m considering Sister Locs. My hair is about the same length as yours when you started your journey. I’m not sure about my hair texture (i. e. 4c, 3c) etc., and I have gray hair. I like that you showed the various stages of your hair, the look, and length. It looked very nice. Any advice on stylist, and questions I should ask?
Great question, I like to use jojoba oil, t-tree and sometimes rose water. Besides those items I don't really put anything in my locks. I have started using this JBC water from the line As I Am that works amazing. ill do a video on it soon :)
If you look at my hair too long it'll break, my edges are non existent, and if I wear hanging braids; they rub off my edges all the way around. I'm scared of it all because my hair is so thin!
Thankgod i found someone else with my hair!! One question, when you got your locs you got the curls on the end of your hair tucked in correct?? because iv only seen women with 4c thick hair have sisterlocs with their curs still on the ends.
hey girly, no when I got my hair installed, the ends of my locks were loose. Maybe because they were so short you couldn't really tell. Then also, when she did my hair she didn't leave a lot of my tips un-done like you see on most people. I believe this was because my hair was so short, which makes is more likely then longer hair to slip out the starter lock. Im sorry does that answer your question?
Finally someone whose honest about the state of there hair before sisterlocs and after the process..Bless you darling ...Your an Empress
Thank you so much :)
Girl. you are a whole blessing !! like everyone else, I am too relieved to see someone with my hair texture + length. The transparency is so needed. Thank You!
Girl this was the truth!!!! I love your transparency.... it doesn’t hurt that you are beautiful at all stages of your journey!
Hello all my Fellow friends and family !! I know its been a while, I'll be dropping an updated video in the next two weeks, please stand by (: and thank you for your patients !!
I get my locks in 6 days and I can't wait. My hair is the same length that yours was so your videos have truly been an inspiration to me!
Thank u for your honesty and being transparent. I started mine yesterday with 4c, shorter then yours when you started AND edges that just aren’t coming back from too tight braids. Thank u love!

Hey Briana, what did you use for dry scalp and/or dandruff?
Did you wear any scarves during the first weeks while it was growing?
I’m considering Sister Locs. My hair is about the same length as yours when you started your journey. I’m not sure about my hair texture (i. e. 4c, 3c) etc., and I have gray hair. What do you use to moisturize your hair with and what oils do you use to help with growth

I enjoyed your video. I too have 4C hair and I worry that dryness will be an issue. What did you do to help with that?
Are sister locs tiny braids or tiny locs ??
Hi what did you use for the first 6 months
How long did it take to install them. Your hair is so cute . I love your hair.
So you don’t use any product on sisterlocs? They are beautiful
Are you putting product in it?
How long after your first install did you wash your hair ?
Thankgod i found someone else with my hair!! One question, when you got your locs you got the curls on the end of your hair tucked in correct?? because iv only seen women with 4c thick hair have sisterlocs with their curs still on the ends.
