@@AlPepperRuns yeah I do enjoy an ultra too. I’ve only got one more event in the calendar this year which is a Saturn Run in Durham on Remembrance Sunday which should be fun. Good luck with the 10km mate 👊🏻
@@IanMcalpine-ep9fc I did the Saturn run last year and really enjoyed it despite it being lapped. I was going to sign up this year but other plans happened! Good luck and hopefully see you soon.
Thanks Andrew, it would have been significantly tougher without you! I really appreciated you being there. You made the jump look easy, I was in no mood for trench foot at that point!
Really appreciate that! I can moan at times however ultimately, I chose to do it and I consider myself pretty lucky to be able to do so! With that in mind I try to enjoy every moment of it!
Fantastic effort and another great video. I was nervous watching with a potentially missed checkpoint and the prospect of you getting lost on route .. looking forward to the next run already.
Thanks Andy! The thought of even 1k longer than the stated distance would have been devastating morale wise! This weekend is a road 10k so shouldn’t be much opportunity to get lost!
Fantastic achievement buddy. 💪🏼💪🏼 Really enjoyed watching. A bit of an Ultra TH-cam addict, this is definitely one of the best I’ve seen. Keep up the great work and perhaps see you out there one day. 👌🏼
Brill vid, total respect Al. Was lovely to meet and talk to you at G’head Parkrun on Saturday, albeit as I was hanging out my backside trying to tackle the pesky hills haha. Well done!!
Great insight into the route again thanks - I now know to expect that footpath from hell through the limestone pavement, that I've never seen on any other video!
Top effort mate! I’ve done the 3 Peaks Challenge as a hike and that was tough so to see you achieve this distance around here takes some serious effort! Well done mate, all the best on the next one!
Great effort.
Cheers mate! Apologies for the late reply too!
Another great Tuesday night video. Well done mate 👏💪👊🏻
Thanks Ian! Have a 10k this weekend which might be a nice change of pace. I do enjoy an ultra kind you.

Absolutely brilliant Al. Loved watching this and watching you achieve it. What incredible memories to take away ⭐👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks Dean! Yeah, the YTP route is firmly lodged in my memory bank now, feel like I’ve conquered it for sure!
Great vid, was a cracking event and you've captured it well, also completely forgot about that jump! 😂

Loved this series. Thanks for the longer run and sharing the three peaks region with the world.
What lovely feedback! Thank you, it’s my pleasure as always.
Well done, amazing spirit. There's a place for those videos that has the runner moaning throughout the whole thing, but I prefer this style.
Really appreciate that! I can moan at times however ultimately, I chose to do it and I consider myself pretty lucky to be able to do so! With that in mind I try to enjoy every moment of it!
Well done Al - looks like a cracking route 👍🏻
Thank you! It’s a great route, the YTP are beautiful ! The Crown Jewels of the Yorkshire Dales even!
Brilliant Al!
Really enjoyed this series!
Good on you for competing and finishing!👍
Thanks Leighton! Ultras have that added adventure element that usually makes for a good video. I’ve got a few even bigger challenges lined up too!
Well done Al......looked a cracking route.
Thanks Andy, brilliant route and equally rewarding / difficult!

Nice one Al, you did fantastic! Brings back so many memories and it was good to see you at the end! Same next year, same hostel? Matt
Ha, I think I’ve got in pencilled in my diary! Not confirmed yet mind you. Could stay the night afterwards for a bit of a celebratory party!

well done Al
Thanks Doug!

Haha, Saltwell’s not the easiest parkrun is it, well done! Great meeting you too and thanks for the feedback!
Great effort Al
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it.

Thanks mate. Haha, it seems to go on for ages too! Rather special from a geological perspective though!
Great video Al and great achievement well done.
Thanks Paul! Appreciate it. First ultra of this year is in March so not long before the big adventures start again!
@@AlPepperRuns good luck Al I’ll look forward to it.
Awesome video Al. That looked tough and one I will not be attempting!
Haha, thanks Jono. You’ve got Ultra North next year though! That’s going to be an awesome achievement.
Yeah mate, I'm thinking of doing the greener miles tyne bridges to boundaries ultra in march aswell
@@just_jono nice! I’m signed up already so might see you there!
Absolutely amazing...it was hard enough walking the 3 peaks
Thanks Christine! It was a long shift but worth it! I’ve hiked the YTP before though and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Thanks Russ. I’ve hiked it in the past too but evidently had quite the rose tinted view i.e. I’d forgotten just how difficult it was!
Hats off to you sir that looked tough well done was there no finishers medal Al?
Thanks Paul! You got a sort of coaster thing which is cool but I’m not sure exactly how I’ll display it!
Great video and great running with a superb attitude 👍🏻 Have you tried any of the Hardmoors events?
Hey Richard, I haven’t actually. Know a few who have but they sound rather tricky indeed! I should tackle one though shouldn’t I!?
@@AlPepperRuns great races and you should really try them! It’s tough but well within your ability! Keep the videos and humour coming 👍🏻
