This series basically falls on both religion/myths/urban legends and conspiracy theories about ancient aliens and cryptids and stuff. This series is a shounen battle, romantic comedy, horror and science fiction all mixed together.
I'm not sure if others would agree, but the explanation on Granny having a soft for the girls in the tunnel connects back to why she came through the phone in episode 1 to save Momo from a similar fate its adds a little more reason to the madness of that first episode also kinda explains why she wants to gobble weenies
Momo knew the train was gonna be there because she literally saw it when She and Okarun were falling. If you rewatch the scene around 11:50, you see the train's reflection in her eyes before she smiles.
17:33 Yes, yes, yes. Just like the Greek myth of "Karon the Sailor Crossing the River with the Dead," there is a Japanese story of a sailor crossing a river to go to the land of the dead. Both stories are amazingly similar, right down to the part where the sailor is given money to board the ship. I have never heard of the story of the dead who could not cross the river becoming crabs, but the author is very good at mixing fiction and non-fiction to create a realistic story, so maybe the crab story is fiction. 🦀
Tatsu sensei is extremely spontaneous when it comes to this. He throws out so many insane ideas and references throughout the manga and it’s never a dull moment. Even for us manga readers we can’t even imagine what will happen next.
Dandadan does have a lot of theme similarities to Mob Psycho, but one anime I get a lot of vibes from it is FLCL, since a lot of the action, humor, and other themes are definitely inspired from FLCL. Which is great to see, since it's one of my favorite and has inspired so many anime/cartoons since it aired. P.s. if you guys never seen FLCL, definitely check it out since it's only 6 episodes
I love the cast of characters so much, Okarun and Momo are prob my favorite duo. As a tradition in Dandadan, at the end of every arc we get a dinner scene at grandma's that I always look forward to since they're funny or wholesome, and the beginning of each arc is heavier on the rom-com side of the story
Going by the VA logic... Sabito was Eren and was in just 2 eps. Not a manga reader, so idk if she will be back... but if she isn't coming back... New OP next week?

Nah, the train in Japan is so punctual and Momo just remembered the train schedule.
