this is one of the first thing i learned when i switched from the wing to defense. being able to move laterally and use your edges to get into open pockets is crucial.
Twisting is what can ruin the knees. I'm having a meniscus surgery tomorrow due to practicing this turn while I was not physically prepared. I thought the pain would fade away during the years, but it remained.
Work on your hip flexibility....if u can do a spreadeagle heels together... u can do it ....lack of flexibility make the trick difficult. So if u can do 180 spreadeagle...you are there....
I fell in love with hockey at 43. This is just poetry on ice. Great stuff!
Ditto. North of 40 club FTW!
Life long love for me, welcome! Try power skating
Kirill the thrill owns this move!
Move? Its a simple edge that every single defensemen uses

Love your videos Coach. I head coach a U15 team here in Norway and use a lot of your examples with my players 🇳🇴👍
I love this guy!

Awesome. I grew up playing in this rink. Meadowvale , Mississauga.
4 rinks? I thought It looked real familiar!
You're an incredible coach
Amazing coach!
Convinced this is the reason my knees are destroyed at 20
wow, how come
Nah, hockey doesn’t ruin knees, poor positioning and being fat does
@@robgronkowski947 fat people don’t play at high level don’t see how this applies here buddy 🤣
Eat better, train your knees better

Did you do a hockey camp in Alaska?
Твои уроки супер бест коч!
As a referee I can say I use this a lot
Look like Sidney Crosby behind the net, ankle to ankle.
“If you can do this part, you can do the whole drill”
Me: I can’t do that part
Come to Alaska
That's what I'm sayin
I can’t even skate and these are entertaining
I did this for 6 years in hockey my knees are fucked now
Dawg, I'm fifty years old, my hips ain't doing that, lol. Trying though.
If u are a Swede you’ll think about Ulf Dahlen when watching this.
just like that guy on the penguins
I blew out a knee watching this
Why can’t every coach explain everything you’re supposed to do, rather than expect you to know everything?
Because those coaches are “tough guys”
Piece of cake😂
You pro 👍😉
I can barely walk
Don’t mind the hate, it’s from ppl who probably suck
If I got this training growing up k would be at Connor bedards skating level. I’m all self taught fastest skater on my team
I really hope people arent paying for this
fr
I’d gladly pay for someone to teach me this in-person. I been killing myself trying this move down
Is this figure skating?
Leave.
@@robgronkowski947 They might be referring to the origin of the move/technique. Mohawk turns are a lot more common in figure skating.
It is very sexual.
Okay buddy
Did this guy play pro?
No
what makes you think that lmao😂
Hell no
