Was great fun to be part of the Battle Games in Middle Earth channel.
Amazing looking easterlings. Noticed some of the kataphrakts had axes. Mind giving a bit of insight on how you accomplished that?

Love the battle report guys. The Easterlings are the love of my life, so glad to see them getting some love.
One rules clarification though. As the Easterling was at ground level when it failed its climb test, it would have only been knocked prone and suffered no further damage. It's only if you're already part way up or climbing down that you would fall.

The talking heads from Harry are cool, perhaps some player ones after key turns- though it’s easy to get caught up in the next turn
It’s a fair point but as you say it makes it tricky to have a flowing game. I try and get their perspectives a bit throughout though!

because they're steps we treated them as essentially open ground so i dont think there's a massive issue, but good spot!
Even if they were difficult terrain, backing away is not slowed by terrain penalties. We should perhaps have considered that staircases do słów cavalry movement normally, but i think these were more scenic than anything else.
The more I play, the more I feel that clarifying any areas of terrain on the board with your opponent before deployment is a good use of two minutes. Stops potential issues.
10 mins in and I honestly can’t foresee an Easterling win - very cautious play means all the fighting is going to be on their objectives. They’ll need some serious luck now!
Don't underestimate the Rohan players ability to make things difficult for himself.
Exactly what I thought, though with Easterlings speed nothing is certain!!
I wonder if the Easterling player had put his cav near his infantry, could he have broken Rohan without being broken? Just one kataphract pet combat would take away many of Rohan's bonuses, regardless of who moved first. I know the supplies are important, but Rohan's all mounted force means he can always respond to any Kataphracts Sneaking off to the supplies.

That would probably have been wise - mixing cav and infantry would have definitely neutered the Rohan force a bit. I think if Harry had been more agressive with his kataphrakts and launched into the Rohan Objectives it would also have worked, but he was initially too cautious so it gave time for Tim to gain an advantage. Thanks for watching
