In order to create impressions and for everybody to understand them, you have to act out certain scenes from movies or TV shows or etc. By going off and saying that an impressionist is stealing stuff, it's like you pointing at a grass and saying "it's green"... it's like no shit. We fell in love with Robin Williams because of his random references, his ability to impersonate people, and him being an all the round great guy.

I've been all over Mexico for work, the first time I heard Mencia in person was at a club in NY where he was doing a bit about how crazy Americans are vs middle eastern people. Robin Williams whole act was him being an Impressionist. In order to create impressions and for everybody to understand them, you have to act out certain scenes from movies or TV shows or etc. By going off and saying that an impressionist is stealing stuff, it's like you pointing at a grass and saying "it's green"... it's like no shit.
We fell in love with Robin Williams because of his random references, his ability to impersonate people, and him being an all the round great guy.
He told peoples jokes on stage not there impressions. The reason he gets a pass from comedians is because his brain worked so fast on stage and he had very little pre written. He would in the middle of a rant repeat a joke he heard from others thinking it was his own or not realising till after, this was his excuse and it was widely believed amongst comedians including Rogan.
Although i agree he is not in the same bracket of thief as the others mentioned.
