Dude, what is that epic yellow sofa you have? Cheers for the content, I’m at the beginning of my smart home journey as we will shortly be purchasing so loving the advice.
Another great video. Soooo looking forward to the next video about setting up a network! I will be building a house soon and would love a breakdown of what you would recommend if you were doing everything from scratch.
I have the VSSL A1.X and A6.X in my house. I highly recommend them. I purchased mine from here and they gave me a decent discount and we're super helpful at RGAV Distribution 😊
Great vid. Quick question. How many hubs do you have? Can you use just one like hubitat or Home Assistant so you just have one dashboard for everything? Asking because I’m wanting to start my own smart home and trying to figure out everything, complete noob
Can you recommend any wall switches to control dumb lights? We're renovating our house and I want light switches that work like normal ones but when I want to turn them on/off through my phone it's possible as well.
You obviously know nothing about Sonos. Whilst you can cast (airplay to them) - they are smart and you only use your phone to control them. Or your voice.
It's a good idea if you haven't got a eg: hive heating system or a Google nest, so he can automate his heating with some cheap switch bots instead of buying some overpriced heating controls which in my opinion don't always work.
Spoken by someone born into in the touch-screen era. Many homes are still outfitted with analogue heating controls like dials and switches. Conversions can cost hundreds of pounds/euros. these robot arms can save you an absolute fortune in heating bills.
Hi Alex, any good systems for streaming and putting a tv system round the full house?
E - thernet
Sonos does actually work with Airplay now
Did you paint the sensor black in 7:48 or there is such version of it?
Great video as always guys!

Hi! Have you ever considered using a system like Loxone? Is there a reason why?

The Aqara switches seen in the video do this. They are simple on/off switches so work with almost all light fittings.
Get into the Z-Wave ecosystem
Alex may I ask what small laptop you use ( At 9.51 into the clip )
That's his iPad
I use UniFi in my house for my network hub.
Sonos amp doesn’t require their app to stream to it. They have airplay dude
And they are smart.
LOVE... 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
How in the HELL are you casting the music on Spotify to SEVERAL different source AT THE SAME TIME?!?!
Minute 3:24

Oh my god, the robot arms to push buttons is beyond a joke. I mean come on, man.

@@retrorepublic19 I don't go in for gadgets, period. I don't have any “smart” stuff in my home, and I prefer buttons to touch screens.
