Kalinchok Vagwati Temple and Dolakha Bhimsenthan are two significant religious sites located in the Dolakha district of Nepal. These two sites are popular pilgrimage destinations for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Kalinchok Vagwati Temple is situated at an altitude of 3842 meters above sea level, and it requires a trek of around 6 hours from the nearest town of Charikot to reach there. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, who is also known as Vagwati. The temple offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and is a popular spot for trekkers and nature enthusiasts. The temple is especially crowded during the festival of Dashain, which is the biggest festival in Nepal.
Dolakha Bhimsenthan is another famous religious site located in the Dolakha district of Nepal. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Bhim Sen, who is considered to be one of the five Pandava brothers from the epic Mahabharata. The temple is believed to have been constructed during the Licchavi era and is one of the oldest temples in Nepal. The temple is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level and requires a trek of around 3 hours from the nearest town of Charikot. The temple is especially crowded during the festival of Bala Chaturdashi, which is celebrated on the day of the full moon in the Nepali month of Kartik.
Both Kalinchok Vagwati Temple and Dolakha Bhimsenthan are significant religious sites that attract thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year.
