I got the Atari800Win Plus. Thank you man! I posted some long play videos of Boulder Dash and The Great American Cross-Country Road Race. I am having a great time with this emulator. Thanks again man!
I used to play this game too, when I had my Atari 65XE. What emulator are you using now to play this game? Does this emulator run on a PC, Mac, or Linux maybe?
Those sprites - is this some kind of multiplex? I'm not sure but I think the machine has only 4 of them(?). Notice the cut sprites in the upper border.

It's done via Display List Interrupt (DLI). You can notice that each row has only up to 2 sprites. Sprites in different rows are the same sprites with x-position adjusted by DLI routine.
While NES games had great music throughout, superb sound effects, and revolutionary game concepts, Atari gamers were still playing crap like this with horrible sound, NO music, and brain-dead computer AI. Oh, and don't forget about those Atari classics that no one (but the diehards) gave a damn about!!!
In all fairness these games were sold for £1.99-£2.99 in the shops while NES games were £49.99.....made a big difference to 8 year olds who only have pocket money. These games certainly kept us happy when we couldn't afford any better (try telling an 80's parent why they should get you a console when the games cost that much)
That's a very good point. I could afford to buy one of these little game every week or two when I was nine, but the NES games were completely out of my infant budget.
There are aspects about this particular platform which, say, the Amiga had but the NES had not. YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND and no one will bother to explain it to you.
One of my favourite platformers of ALL time. Also the first game I ever completed.
Man I wish I had this game. I had Ollies Follies and I absolutely loved it. This looks even better.
Not sure what's creepier - the ghosts or that jumping sound xD

El primer juego que terminé, ahh, tiempos aquellos...
The title doesn't seem to make sense... it looks more like he's avoiding ghosts rather than chasing them...
WAS 1ST GAME I EVER COMPLETED.. WAS AWESOME GAME AND WOUOLD LOVE TO PLAY AGAIN!!!!
Tambien lo termine, no recuerdaba que fuera tan corto .
