  • This video shows you how to create Lightroom Presets and sell them as digital products online using Sellfy. I show you the technical side and which Lightroom settings work for a wider audience and customer base. I show you colour grading and what not to do.

Great video Mark! You did kinda miss an important step when saving your presets though: you (typically) only want to check the Lightroom settings that your preset is going to actually be CHANGING. If your preset is only changing color tones, for example, you're not going to want to save the exposure, highlight, white, black, shadow settings because that will overwrite whatever per-image lighting the customer (or yourself, for that matter, if this is just for you) that were already existing on the image. Sure, you can undo the application on the preset and get back what you had before, but it really limits how useful your presets can be unless they are applied as the first step in a workflow process. Never heard of Sellfy, though, and definitely going to check them out! Thanks!

Good point! Usually, when I save new presets, I check everything except WB, exposure and transform. Those are the settings I want to keep from from the existing image. Never thought about checking just the settings I do change with my preset.

Fantastic tutorial, Mark! Quick question - when you sell the images (included in your preset), are you providing full rights licensing to the end user or are you selling the photos outright?

Great video Mark. One question: you state that we should not include White Balance in the preset we create, but in the first two examples you did not uncheck that in the settings. Was that an oversight? Or is there somewhere else you disabled white balance from being included in the preset chages?

Love the accent. Got to know a fact that I haven't known before but I needed to know so badly.
How to create that cinematic look with orangy highlights and cyan shadows..
well, desaturate all colors except skin tones, and then go to color gradient and adjust the tones of highlights and shadows as you wish! 😊

Excellent vid! ...... quick question: I'm new to LUTs...... is a LUT created in Lightroom compatible with for example OBS or Resolve? I guess not because OBS doesn't have masks and stuff. But I just downloaded a random free LUT from the interwebs and I was able to open it in OBS, which got me wondering!
