The Drummer Pau is not normally the lead singer. She does sing a few songs in concert but most of the lead singing is done by Dany who you see singing here.

Actually there are quite a lot of songs where Pau sings lead live and on record. Most of these songs are more like ballads but she puts so much emotion in them. I love it when she sings and plays keyboards in stead of drums (those are songs without drums) and on rare occasions they have played with guest drummers (like her teacher on Narcissista at the concert in Mexico City on August 29, 2022) and other bands (like Moderatto and Eruca Sativa) where she comes centre stage to sing. Sadly these are mostly fan phone recordings with lesser sound quality but great fun to watch anyway.

This is perfection. Not only how technical is, is original, is creative is very well played, super polished, well written musically and the lyrics… the voice, guitars base and drums… and their ages… AND THIS IS LIVE with studio sound! they are prodigies!

Great reaction. Thanks for another reaction to The Warning! This is definitely a very heavy song by The Warning. They do write songs that cover a wide range. Check out Amour and Revenant, both from their latest album called Error. Heck, check out the Title Track as well, along with Kool Aid Kids. I would say all of these fall into just Rock, and Hard Rock. Metal by today's standards is way heavier than The Warning.

Thanks for the new The Warning reaction on your channel. I liken the vocal capabilities to ‘Heart’, the popular rock band of the 70s & 80s. Ann Wilson was the lead singer, but Sister Nancy would sing lead on some songs over the course of their discography. In this case, Dany (the guitarist) is lead vocalist of the band, while Pau (the drummer) will sing lead on some songs. All 3 can easily contribute to vocals to beautiful effect.

Really their sound is more of a hard rock sound reminiscent of the 70s-80-90s hard rock. Each of their songs also has elements of punk, pop, grunge, and even a little metal. This is one of their hardest rocking songs, definitely with some metal elements, but really each song is rather unique. They are at their best in live performances, bringing a ton of energy and passion.

Thanks Hanier family for getting back to The Warning.
Mrs. Hannier, not sure which genre you listen to. A softer side to The Warning that also rocks is their 2021 version of Enter Sandman. Metallica invited The Warning and Alessia Cara to perform a version of their song. They had a deadline of 1 week. Because of the pandemic they completed the recording remotely via zoom. The collaboration was a stunning success and maybe you should check this one out next. It has beautiful harmonies from all the girls and it is not a straight cover. More of a rendition.
Pau , the drummer only sings a few lead songs such as Dust to Dust, Narcisista, Revenant, 23 and the beautiful song about addiction, Black Holes, written by Pau at 13 years of age. There are a couple more that Pau sings too.🤟

they play with backing tracks that they recorded themselves. But that being said, Danny's guitar goes through a Line 6 Helix processor and is output to 3 channels at once... and it gives her guitar huge stereo sound with different amps and delay on left and right, she and pau (drummer) have food/midi control over her patches and harmonizer in real time... and Ale's bass has huge and she plays 5ths and full chords on bass at times with overdrive to sound like a second guitar.... but don't dismiss their backing tracks as altering or touching anything up... The warning wrote, played and recorded those backing tracks themselves and do it that way (sometimes) to fill the power trio sound like most ohter power trios do. Sometimes they perform without backing tracks and they sound just as huge, though.

We did our first Rush reaction, heard some really good Hip Hop from Brampton, also on our reactions, and we had the opportunity to go see a live concert featuring Crown Lands, which was unbelievably good! No, really! These guys could be compared to bands like Rush and Led Zeppelin and were by the audience I attended with. We did a reaction the next day. So, I guess we were feeling a little braver. The comment about not being a metal fan is one the we hear often from reactors, but once you start discovering all the different styles of metal like progressive, symphonic, power, etc., I have seen many change their mind. To me if you truly love music, metal being the most versatile style by far, there is a lot to discover and love. Just keep an open mind and you may be surprise by what you will discover.

Dany, the guitarist, sings lead in around 75% of their songs. Pau,the drummer, sings lead in 25%. Ale, the bassist), sings back up vocals and will sing lead when Dany or Pau are having voice problems, like laryngitis, sore throat, or just not feeling well. Ale also has a beautiful falsetto voice that she uses in quite a few of their songs. They are not a metal band. More like Hard Rock&Roll(with a twist of lime). No growls from them, yet. It's not really their style, but they are Evolving. I am not a fan of death growls.

You're right, they really don't do metal. Hard Rock, alternative and some punk is more their speed. But I totally understand your preference for the softer side of their music. They do have a lot of songs that fit that description. I would suggest, 'Black Holes', '23', 'Breathe' (it was recorded at their home on their slightly off tuned piano, lol), 'The End', 'Crimson Queen', 'Show Me The Light', 'Shattered Heart', 'When I'm Alone' and my favourite 'Revenant'! Try to react to the live versions as honestly, The Warning's live performances are always the best versions of their songs. Thank you!

Oh yeah, thanks for the shout out, you pronounced my name correctly, Star-ace. Nice to know you read your comments, some reactionaries do not. The Warning are not so much Metal as Hard Rock, but I’m not one to make a big deal about genre, if it rocks me, it rocks me, and these girls rock me. To check out something a little lighter by The Warning listen to their newer version of Metallica’s Enter Sandman, it’s not a direct cover of the song as it’s a rendition of Enter Sandman that The Warning and Alissia Cara did that’s softer and more harmonic in the vocals than the original by Metallica. They put the song together for Metallica’s 2021 Blacklist album (a compilation album of different bands doing their renditions of classic Metallica songs). So check it out, I think you’ll be impressed and your wife will like the lighter version of the song.
Most of The Warning’s last album is of the Hard Rock genre and I wouldn’t want to leave this comment without suggesting you watch/listen to their song Disciple, it’s a hard song like Evolve but it’s too good not to mention, and too good for you not to pass up listening to.
    Stay Cool 😎 and…

On one hand I get rather tired of the quibbling about what little genre in which to classify The Warning. I confess to being ignorant of the location of the arbitrarily placed dividing line between rock'n'roll and metal. But on the other hand I am really glad that folks find it so difficult to pigeonhole them. Nothing more boring than an artist whose songs all sound the same because of trying to stay labeled by one of the randomly created little subgenres.

Great reaction! The Warning are not a metal band. Dany describes what they do as "pure rock", although I consider them to be a genre of their own. They are very versatile in their styles of songs. For something quite different, check out their official lyric video of the song "REVENANT", which features Paulina singing, not behind the drums, with harmonies from Dany and Alejandra. Thank you for reacting to The Warning!

I would not really describe their sound as metal, they're more Rock/Hard Rock. However if you think it is too heavy for you then try their songs 23, Amour, Revenant and Breathe of their latest album Error. The lyrics there talented young ladies write are very deep and have very relevant messages to for the current and past generations to heed. Or you can list to their 2nd album Queen of the Murder Scene which is a concept album in the form of a Rock Novel that tells a story across all the songs. Start With Dust To Dust and progress through each song in order to follow the story, I suggest using the Lunario CDMX clips or Foro Didi, both of which were professionally shot

You brought up Metallica. So I suggest doing “Enter Sandman” double shoot. 1st the 1 they did for their family ( cover) in 2014 ( ages 14,12 & 9). They put it on TH-cam to make it easy for family to view. It went viral ( 24 millions view ). Then do the 2021 version they did with Alessia Cara ( Canadian Pop Star) for Metallica’s Blacklist LP. This one is not a cover but completely rearranged into a whole new song. Plus they did it in a week. All while The Warning recorded in Mexico and Alessia Cara recorded her parts in Canada. They only had a week to get it back to Metallica for their approval.
I believe the wife will especially enjoy the new version of “Enter Sandman”
