Dior is hands down the best open. The late dry down is where the come very close. Zara has discontinued Summer Collection ll that smells great also.
I have to correct you. VL Summer ist by far the best price + value fragrance on the whole market. It lasts easy 8-10 hours, even when you dont overspray. When you do 10 or more sprays you wil smell it the next day on your clothes. I have Dior Homme Cologne also and emptied both bottles last year. Zara has 100 times more performance and Sillage in comparing to Dior. The problem is even when the dior smells better, nobody will registrate it. Now they have Vibrant Leather Cologne and its slightly different. They toned down the ginger note and added a little more of aquatic notes. Its still good but Vibrant Leather Summer was absolut masterpiece. I bought it for my mother too. She does 3 sprays and i even smelled it VERY good after an 8 hour working day. Just overspray und you will have the best summer scent on the market.

I bought 3 bottles of VL Summer, and the opening performance is terrible. After 30 minutes, it is already reduced to a skin scent.
Although the performance of Dior, Benz, and Jimmy Choo is still poor, they at least last for 2 hours.
Even though the price is low for Zara, you end up constantly reapplying, and it is cumbersome. It is worse than Mugler Cologne, and Zara claims to be an EDP concentration.
The only good thing is the burst of citrus opening. Then the ginger ruins it.
@@GeraltBosMang Bro i bought 2 bottles. One for me and for my mother. Both bottles wear in terms of performance absolutly outstanding. A couple days ago i bought VL Cologne and its a slightly sifferent scent with a little bit less ginger and more aquatic notes. And here is the performance way less than in VL summer. I have no clue what they did.
They’re both discontinued, but the MBC goes for $60-70 and Zara VLS is under $40 at resellers. MB is an EDT and Zara is an EDP. Just got a 120mL bottle of the Zara for $20!!
Nice comparison but you're kidding when you say the Mercedes is 40 $, right? Here in Europe it's almost the same price as the Dior considered it's discontinued. Even when I've got it back in August 2019 it was almost 50 $ at discounters.
The Mercedes goes for at least $65-70 from resellers here in the US at least
Nice comparison I had a sample MBC it was lovely but was sad to see it was discontinued but fortunately I discovered vibrant leather summer when I went shopping with friends and instantly picked it up .... very similar but both so addicting

I bought it just yesterday. I think it's great for the price-point but is more of a close skin scent on me that fades to nothing in no time at all.
Not having sampled Aventus yet, I can't say where any similarities might begin or end, but I can say that to me at least, ZVLO is an interesting, above average quality scent for the price, that unfortunately, on my skin at least, suffers extremely short-lived longevity, weak to non existent sillage and very little projection.
The only person that will likely get close enough to notice it is a significant other. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you have a significant other!
Otherwise there are clones that may not be so rounded, but are said to perform better for around 10 to 20 more in price.

Both are scarce in the US. MBC is above $50 if you can find it. I have Zara VLS and enjoy it.
Yup. It’s tough to find in the US. Private sellers want at least $70 for the MB. I just picked up a big bottle of the Zara for only $20!!
Here in Germany you can still find the Mercedes Benz Cologne but not cheap, e.g. Parfum Zentrum online has the 120 ml bottle for €77.46. Last year I got a 75 ml bottle in a Douglas store, it was about €40. I think it´s an excellent fragrance, incredibly close to the Dior in the dry-down. I have not smelled the Zara though, and it is not currently on Zara's website here. The Jimmy Choo Ice I have smelled, it's ok but to my nose not as close to the Dior as the Mercedes Benz.
Btw I keep saying this in many fragrance videos: whether on skin or on paper, better compare the drydowns of the fragrances, not their openings. The openings are not only fleeting (last just 4% the wearing time,) they will likely change compared to the mid+drydowns. Even if dealing with "linear" fragrances, to be safe better always compare their drydowns (--> 96% the wearing time) instead of just that opening right after spraying.
