I understand that you can endlessly enhance the beauty of a cutting board, but do you think the person I'm giving this to, say my mother-in-law, will ever use it? No, because he would regret scratching it, he would rather display it as a decoration.

It's pretty, but you have to take into consideration that some of the exotic species of wood you used, are NOT food safe. The tannins in some woods is toxic and are not supposed to be used where they will come in contact with foods..
I really did enjoy watching the process of layering and the use of the thin strip of the lite wood throughout.
Thanks for your advice.
Those who purchase my work will probably never cut a knife on a cutting board to cook food.
I think I'll be using it for viewing or as a teacup tray.

한가지 궁금한것이 있는데, 사용하신 도그홀 클램프 정도 쓸려면 작업대 상판 두께가 어느정도 되야지 제대로 클램핑이 되나요? 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다~
좋은 질문입니다.
홀다운클램프(Hold down clamp) 도그홀(Dog hole) 안쪽 벽과 홀다운클램프와의 마찰력으로 부재를 고정하는 원리입니다.
따라서 구멍이 깊을 수록 마찰력이 커져서 더 강하게 잡아주게되는 것이죠. 그렇다고, 부재를 물리고 난후의 클램프의 봉길이보다 깊으면 곤란합니다ㅋㅋ
그리고, 구멍은 반드시 똑바로(직각) 뚫려 있어야 합니다.
제 작업대 상판 두께는 76T 입니다. 70T 이상을 권해드려요

I enjoyed watching it. A dining table or a small tea table can be made from the same model. This model can also be long, at the same height as the room, and be on either side of the hall with another at the bottom that is for the TV screen. The model can be used for many things

400번까지 샌딩 하고 누워있는 거스러미들이 일어나도록 물을 발랐습니다~~
물이 마른 후(하루뒤) 400번부터 2000번까지 샌딩을 했구요~~
다 아시겠지만, 피니싱 전에는 만드시 먼지들을 제거 해야 하구요 ㅋㅋ
