    I’ve bought 4-5 Vevor products over the past couple of years and I’m a big fan (so far). Cheap, decent quality and good instructions. But I do like Den of Tools channel also.

    Thanks for your vid. It helped me decide on my purchase. Their 450 pc toolset looks good and price is way cheaper than craftsman tools which is what I normally buy. That said , I have had my craftsman set over 30yrs and a crowbar once busted, just took back to Sears and no issue, had it replaced right there. For the price I am not expecting same level of support but heck I’m on a budget these days and this set won’t break my wallet.

    My issue isn't that they don't sell some good tools, my issue is that they don't maintain quality control and then when there is an issue they deny, deny, deny. I even said at the end of the video that I wasn't telling people NOT to buy Vevor tools, I said, just don't buy direct from them.

    Last summer I started me new hobby of restoring my '71 SB (full video series on my channel). I have been a woodworker for decades. Then I got the bug for Bugs! I've been selling all my woodworking machinery and using the money to buy tools and machines I need for this new hobby. You are one of my gurus! I have gone with all of your recommendations, including the Vevor products like that spray gun, and LOVE all of them! I may not know a lot about auto repair/restoration products but I do know good quality when I see it (from all the machines and tools I've used as a woodworker). I give you and anything you recommend a big thumbs up!

      Thanks I very carefully select the stuff I get from them to see if it is a good quality or good value and better than the competitors. Or different and not available anywhere else. There are items I would not ask for because I dont feel they would be a good value. But LOTS of stuff there are great deals.

      The orange one? I just bought the orange 10 inch one, with the real long exhaust hose (it’s cool, it’s like,e a giant Slinky) for $75. Somebody bought it, then changed their mind about it, so I got it brand new in the box for $75 including the exhaust slinky. I turned it on and wrapped the exhaust slinky on it to see how much suction it had. Seems like it will work well for evacuating welding fumes.

    I have had good luck with vevor tools everything I have bought has got the job done. My everyday tools I buy name brand but tools I only use once in a while vevor fits the bill. I find that vevor tools are cheaper on ebay for some reason, so I buy them there.

    Till now the only thing I have bought from Vevor is my porta power. To be honest I wasn't expecting much as it only cost $140. However I was really surprised. The build quality and performance are really good. I will definitely be checking their website if I need any other tools.

      OH cool how was that?.....I got a generic on ebay and half the parts cracked. that is why I did not ask them for one. The clamps when I put them under a load they broke in half (ebay ones) if they are pretty good I might get one from them to demo. So far they have been the best supporters of my channel. Everything I ask for they send.

      I say go for it. If you look at it is the smaller things like the extender poles have a nice wall thickness where as some of the cheaper ones I have seen are way to thin. The clamps are nice and solid. it hasn't let me down yet.

  • @melgross
    @melgross 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have a fair number of Vevor items. Truthfully, some things are pretty good, and some of it is junk. I bought a 3 ton ratchet arbor press. Well, it’s as cheap as can be. The handle is supposed to be locked into the hole in the handle casting. No drilled or tapped holes, and of course, no set screws (their photos show them). I had to do that on my mill. The ratchet didn’t work correctly. I had to machine the top of the body casting. There is one thin coat of paint, but they didn’t remove the sand from the castings in the corners. The holes to mount it to the table were drilled by hand and are way off from each other. The handle isn’t long enough to give the three tons of pressure. I had to buy a 3 foot piece of 1144 to lengthen it. Ok, so this is one product. But I have others with problems as well. I bought a tubing notcher. Useless. They have two stackers. If you don’t know what they are, look it up. They get between one and a half and two and a half star ratings. That’s awful. I was thinking of buying one, but got a good one instead. I’m not going to mention all the bad items. I do have some good ones. The steel anvils they sell are pretty good. I bought the 132 pound black model and it’s very good for the money. Though the Prichell hole is strange. I bought a one horse sewing machine servo motor (that several companies sell) which is pretty good. So it’s a mixed bag with Vevor. Their ultrasonic cleaners seem to be good so far, that I bought (others sell those too). You may get lucky, or not. But HF does honor their warrantees. I have three HF General series 2 rolling cabinets and they’re excellent. Likely the best at twice the price, literally! And I don’t know what your experience with their welders are, but lots of people have very good things to say about them. I have an ESAB for most of my work, but did pick up a small Titanium 125 for fluxcore for spots I can’t get my ESAB to, such as my milling when I need to tack up parts. It’s been great. It seems to me that you’re on the opposite end. I honestly don’t know what to make of what you say. I would never even think of buying a Vevor welder. I do think though, that anyone making TH-cam videos should make sure their shop, no matter what it is, should be clean and somewhat organized. No junk all over the floors, for example. It’s hard to take someone seriously if their shop looks like a junkyard. Sorry, but there’s no excuse. We all have the time to do whatever we have to. It’s just a matter of taking the time to do it rather than doing something else that you would rather do, but that isn’t really important.

    • @Mikefngarage
      @Mikefngarage  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the vevor welder I show in the video is excellent for gas welding plus it does flux core. Beats the HF one hands down. Not even a competition. Everything I have reviewed is excellent. however I preview every item before I have them send it to me. There are some crap items like you say I would not order from them. You have no idea how busy I am.....I have 2 businesses and absolutely no time. My shop used to look pretty nice when I had some help but CA....is a f...ed up place and the panemic I lost my help. Totally overwhelmed. I guess you have never been there. Loosing 5 grand a month.....working my ass off that is why the shop looks like it does.

I think they are all the same. the torch I am not really sure. but there are lots of them that are the same. Unlike the HF which is very specific on the torch. Im still using mine. Thanks for the vids. (I only ever sign in to 'like' stuff)
    But now that I have your attention, what I've been 'not posting' is I'd really like YOU to put out a video of doing "a car paint" job. I mean, to emphasize what steps and how/when. Not like you redoing the '53(?). Could just be a fender.
    But you go "heres our panel. Cleaned up, bondo smooth, ready for primer (for example). Now I'm going to show you how to MIX THE PRIMER (maybe do so), SETUP THE (vevor) gun, adjust, air pressure, filtering, etc." (Maybe a few strokes). "Now since this is my only sprayer, THIS IS HOW I DISASSEBMLE AND CLEAN IT". Then repeat with either the base or single color whatever you call it. And so on. Should not need to be more than 15-20 min. Sure Kevin T does that, but I think alot missing on how to correct errors as they happen, and how to mix, clean etc. You explain stuff so well.
    I'm thinking again of getting a diff gun, cuz I messed up on last attempt, and just left vehicle for 3 years now. Looks like it, lol.

    Can't speak about Vevor tools. I do have their e-tracks in my enclosed trailer. They work great. The "Bear" is obviously bias. Hard to take tool advice from a guy who's obviously out of the game, sitting on a stool, reading specs. If you read his comments to his viewers you will lose all respect for him. If you want to feel good about your recent HF purchase...he's your guy. If I buy a tool that I know I will rarely use I sometimes purchase a "cheap" tool. I have a few Wen tools that work great. Den of Tools vehemently denies having any connection with Harbor Freight, but I don’t believe it for one second, and never have! He went off on me after a comment I left stating my belief on that! I stopped watching his vids a long time ago. I frequently purchase from HF, and I’m going to buy a 66lb. anvil from Vevor when they are back in stock. I’ve seen multiple TH-cam reviews of this anvil, one of which features the blacksmith beating the crap out of it with a 30lb sledge hammer, and all give it a great review! FYI the 30lb sledge never phased it! I have a Vevor scroll bender that works swimmingly well! HF has occupied a unique niche for the past handful of years, but they, and DOT, might need to take an occasional glance in the rear view mirror! The times they are a changing!

And it always takes 14 days for your credit card to get refunded. stuff happens all the time with every company. He is biased because HF puts his reviews on their website... Believe me they did my welder review for a while and it paid off good. But.......Their prices are just way higher than Vevor on a lot of products. Titanium welder is now 450 or 500 and vevor 259 plus 5% off that so half the cost. and it works better. Look at the guys comments from AU...they dont have harbor freight. only vevor.

    Vevor is garbage. They break copyrights and make lousy look alikes. I made the mistake of buying some of their junk. The plastic cases fall apart immediately. The compression tester kit has hoses that twist loose where they are supposed to be rigid. The hose spins and won't screw into the head. Can't test.
    Fuel injector cleaning kit comes with metric gauge not SAE with psi reading. Poor quality. A pure waste of money. Don't let the cheap prices suck you in.
