i think a huge problem with the idea of tarkov too, is that the maps are too small and the spawnpoints are too predictable to allow for emergent gameplay. you can almost always predict exactly where confrontations will happen, and it removes a lot of the interest of a game like tarkov. at least for me. when i first heard of tarkov, i imagined STALKER but multiplayer.

This is why I think Arena is really good for the main game, it allows BSG to have their e-sport cake and eat it too. I just wish the Tarkov community was more receptive to it.
@@SKAL_47 Well, one of the bigger problems is the soyboy streamers who cry when they get killed by anything they felt was unfair. Thats why you can shove a knife into someones throat and they walk away. It's complete bs and I hope the new in-game survey's help quell that some. A good example of this is Jesse and Airwing and some others crying and shitting their pants because they can't tank 80 fuckin buckshot shells just because they have lvl 6 plates, so BSG basically ruined the entire actually realistic and fun armor system so they stopped getting upset.
@@skibur848 Man, arena is bullshit and a waste of resources, if you like it that's fine though but the majority doesn't think like that A waste of resources that could have gone into making the base game better and more polished, that's where they should focus on before releasing anything else "extra" for a game that isn't finished yet But don't be naive guys, I doubt BSG are gonna take Tarkov to a "good place" at this point, don't expect too much from them to not be dissapointed, our only hope is SPT while it's still alive
There is a single player version but what's the point .... could have been a great game had people not ruined it with hacks and Dev's not really every fixing it to this day sadly
i hope EFT never will be this way!! yes for single-player game it looks and feels very nice, but online PvP shooter cant be this complicated and slow, it will die fast af and, EFT is nothing about realism, eft its a casual shooter just a bit more immersive then cod or smth, and yes, eft is COMPETETIVE PvP shooter (literally 50% tasks is PvP) and evry raid you fighting with enemie pmc for loot, gear etc etc, evryone should understand this, and stop crying about realism

Has tarkov really changed much though? This gameplay is really just current base tarkov except you're moving across the map at a slow pace and there is some different recoil patterns and variable stances. People just got wise to the game, lost gear fear, and figured out that moving faster is a much better combat approach than slowly walking around like a bumbling idiot. Tarkov has only gotten more authentic since launch. If you even played the original game you'd understand it was much more arcade like. You could hot key meds and still shoot because there were no animations, you could instantly repack mags, and high gear players were mostly impenetrable bullet sponges so please dont ramble about the "original version" its seriously embarrassing.
compare trailers and old gameplay from the game, it had a slow paced grounded tone that nowadays is being slaughtered by streamers jumping across doorways while peeking inside with freelook. Then you have arena... I personally just don't like the way the game "evolved", and i'm so happy modders moved in finally
@@SolarGeneral i mean they didn't ruin the game, they just have fun with the current state of the game and make content that like minded individuals enjoy, nothing wrong with that. The ones that execute decisions are the devs.
@@SKAL_47 we wouldn’t have rats without Sam, we wouldn’t have exit campers with out him either. Willerz had a hand in the changing of the inertia system with his “parkour”. Landmark had the biggest influence in the creation of toxic “chads”. Sounds like they are too blame to me. They never denied they had their hands in making those changes, they even laughed when the EFT Devs had to make changes to the game because of them and then they just laughed more and kept doing it forcing the Devs to make more changes.
glad to see there are still some of us out there who think the new direction tarkov has taken is not really what the game should be all about

A.I is actually decent, reminds me a lot of stlaker A.I with my current modlist. If you get jumpy easily it really gets you. Try it!
