This car was more than "modified". About 3% of this car was carrying president Kennedy.

Yeah, it’s actually hardly worth watching because whatever is original u can see

They need to put this car out for a trash pick up

I bet when the workers disassembled the car to do the current modifications, they took pieces home for souvenirs. Somewhere in someone’s dad/grandpas stuff are little pieces of that original car

And or peices of Kennedy's brain matter too?

Maybe, unless they were watched by agents who wanted no evidence to escape because the reason why the limousine was fully restored wasn't so much for historical reason,
but to destroy "tell tale" evidence that might give explanations about the shooting away! Remember, they killed the president so NOTHING could be left to chance!

@@margaretgullett6341 YES!! Because they changed the whole blood spattered interior and even the windows including the windshield which had a bullet hole below the rear view mirror! The car was also repainted as well. Nothing was left uncleaned or unchecked. Not even brain matter!! They gunned down the fucking president like a wild animal. No evidence was left to chance!!!!

They washed out all the blood and brains whilst it was parked at Parkland hospital.

John Kennedy saw the prototype Ford Mustang and loved it.

  • @DetTigerFan
    @DetTigerFan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

The car looked better in the blue color when JFK was president. LBJ didn't want the blue to remain so he changed it to black. That's the first time in any video where I saw the back door was opened. There is a huge lifesize picture of the vehicle in front of the White House just opposite of where the car is parked at the Henry Ford.

This car was stripped down almost immediately. It had nothing to do with forensic evidence. They simply made any chance of public viewing ( or more so, any critical analyzation of it in the future ) disappear.

Agree, also you can see the secret service or Dallas Police clean it up with a bucket in footage from 11/22. Forensics wasn't of any priority.

It's too bad that they didn't show you all or more of the features the car had.
Better pictures of the actual jump seats and how the power seat was raised up
so the president could be seen by the public more clearly.

@@edzombie78 , If the car was only a 4 seater, then where do you suppose that Governor John Connally of Texas (who was also seriously shot) and Mrs. Connally were sitting? They were sitting on “jump seats”, fold up seats in front of President and Mrs. Kennedy.

  • @LAMB53087

I am not sure which is more ironic.
The fact that Kennedy's limo still exists, (somewhat), or the fact that they wasted no time, spared no expense stripping it right down to bare metal, heavily modifying it, and building a whole new interior for several successive presidents to use.
Seems to me, after it was no longer needed for forensics, that it would have been melted into a puddle. Incinerated.
    I just cant understand it.
