  • In this video, I'll show you how to drive a car with a DCT or DSG transmission in traffic, uphill, and downhill without overheating. The trick is to reduce the pressure on the transmission by shifting from drive to neutral. This helps avoid extra strain during braking and keeps the transmission from overheating.

Now all the dct gearboxes do not needed to be shifted to N mode every time. As soon ya u press enough brakes and the cars comes to a stop, the clutch dis engages and as long as the brakes are pressed, the clutch would not engage. It is as good as neutral. So no need to shift it to N every time. U can confirm in ur car by looking at the rpm meter. It will be on the same level as wen the car is in N mode.

Virtus aur Slavia mein D mode pe bhi clutch disengage ho jati hai when brakes are pressed. No need to move to neutral.

I have same issue in my dsg skoda… it sometimes takes jerks in D1 when i start from idle position.
This generally happens when the car is in traffic and then After D2 it moves flawlessly. No issues at all, just takes jerks in D1 from N.
Can u please suggest what is the issue???

Very out dated and absurd information. DCT automatically goes neutral when stopped. During traffic just shift to manual mode. Plus putting in neutral may make the clutch slip and cause damage
